Improvements To The Second Shop

“If things go as Kent-san said, then we’ll be busy starting today. Everyone, I’m counting on you.”
After Kent went to check on Rachel, Marie said that in front of everyone.
“Excuse me. What do you mean?”
Until yesterday, profits had not been good, so it was hard to imagine things suddenly changing. Laura looked confused as she asked Marie.
“That will be something to look forward to after we open. We don’t have much time, you know? Let’s hurry and prepare to open the shop.”
At Marie’s command, Caro, Catherine, and Patty immediately began moving. Laura did not understand the situation, but since the owner had said so, she followed along and began preparing.
Before long, the preparations were finished, and it was time to open. Nobles generally did not line up, so no line formed before opening.
“It feels no different from usual, though…”
Laura felt uneasy at the sight before opening, which was no different from usual. However, once opening time came, carriages stopped in front of the shop one after another, and noblewomen entered the shop one after another.
“I feel like people are coming to eat ice cream at a faster pace today.”
“Welcome. What may I help you with today?”
Laura responded to the noblewoman who had entered the shop according to the manual.
“Without even asking, she should be wanting ice cream, but…”
While thinking that inwardly, Laura spoke to the noblewoman who had entered the shop.
“I heard this shop carries something called shampoo and conditioner that make your hair smooth and give it a pleasant scent when applied to it. Also…”
“Huh?… Pardon me. Yes, we do have them. This way, please.”
The customer’s reaction was different from what she had expected, and Laura unintentionally let out her natural voice. Realizing it, she hurriedly corrected her words. Of the customers who came in after that, around eighty percent had come not for the dining area, but to buy beauty-related products such as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.
There were many types of products placed inside the shop, and explaining the products alone took quite a lot of time. Since they were aimed at nobles, it seemed that advertising using signs and other posted materials had to be kept to a minimum, so the explanations were basically handled by the clerks.
Except for Catherine and Mike, who were stationed in the dining area, Marie, Patty, and Laura adopted a style in which, for example, if a customer wanted shampoo, they explained all the types, had the customer smell the testers, and let the noblewoman customer decide. However, only Caro sold in a different way from the others.
“My apologies. Please excuse me for a moment. Sniff sniff… I see. I believe this would suit you, madam. This is the tester, so please check the scent.”
“Oh my, this may be perfect for me. I’ll take this one.”
“Thank you very much.”
Caro used a style in which she checked the customer’s scent and recommended a product that suited it. Moreover, the customers did not refuse the products she recommended and happily bought them.
“Caro-chan is amazing as always.”
Marie said that with admiration. Her way of working made it easy to understand Kent’s claim that she did the work of five ordinary clerks.
“Caro-chan. Could you go check on Kent-san and Rachel-chan for me?”
“Understood. I’ll go for a little while, then.”
Once Caro’s work had given them a little breathing room with customer service, Marie said that to Caro. Caro went up the stairs to check on them.
Since their customers were nobles who disliked crowding, the shop was not packed, but since customer service was basically one-on-one, the employees remained busy. A little after noon, Kent and Rachel came down from the upper floor.
“What is going on?”
Rachel said that in surprise when she saw the state of the shop.
While Mike, who had noticed her first, was talking to Rachel, Kent checked the situation inside the shop.
“The products on the shelves are getting low. Marie-san, could you help me restock them?”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t notice.”
Kent called out to Marie and decided to restock the products.
“Marie-san, how are the customers coming in?”
“Well… There aren’t enough customers to form a line, but almost everyone is buying in large quantities, so if we look at the profits, I think it’s going quite well.”
The two were organizing products for restocking in the storage room. Kent asked Marie in order to learn the shop’s situation.
“More importantly, how is Rachel-chan doing?”
“She said she was fine herself, and her complexion seemed better, so I think she’ll be all right.”
“I see. That’s good, then.”
Marie said that with relief.
“Then I’ll go put the products on the shelves first.”
After putting the restocking products into a basket, Marie went back into the shop ahead of him.
“The containers have also decreased a little, so I guess I should restock those too.”
Kent ordered containers from his device for the products he expected would be needed in large quantities from now on, and packed them together into a box. After that, Rachel and the others would likely use these containers to replenish products that ran out.
After finishing the restocking and returning to the shop, Kent saw that everyone had entered their proper roles and the shop was running smoothly. Mike, whose abilities were still unknown, had taken the form of a boy, and his clothes were childlike, consisting of a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. He did not seem to be doing outstanding work, but he appeared to be handling his tasks without any trouble. Rachel seemed to be watching him happily from a distance.
“My little sister must be happy that the shop fairy, who had only slept and been useless, finally started working.”
That was what Kent thought, but in reality, Rachel was thinking about something else.
“When it comes to boys, it has to be short sleeves and shorts after all. But he doesn’t have enough little-boy charm. As for the design of the top… let’s see.”
Rachel was thinking about the outfit she would make Mike wear.
Sensing that presence, Mike shuddered.
“Amazing. Today’s sales were this high?”
After they finished business safely and Rachel finished calculating the sales, she said that. Judging from her smile, today’s sales seemed to be satisfying. The other members cleaned up and tidied the shop, and finally, everyone who had been in the shop gathered.
“Marie-san. Here is today’s sales report.”
“Let me check it. Let’s see. Amazing. Even after subtracting expenses such as labor costs from the sales, the numbers are more than enough. The help from the first shop is only for today, so I think things will be difficult starting tomorrow, but do your best. Still, if it seems like you don’t have enough people, don’t overdo it and tell me.”
“Understood. Thank you very much for everything today.”
Rachel looked relieved after giving her report to Marie.
Thanks to Kent’s work, the second shop’s management also got on track, and after several days passed, the weekend arrived.
