The next morning, I woke up noticing something being pressed against my mouth.

Caro’s face was right in front of me, and our lips were overlapping.

“Good morning, Kent-san.”

“Good morning, Caro-san.”

For a while after waking up naked in my bed, we stayed just like that, spending time slowly while feeling each other’s body heat.

“It’s a holiday today. What shall we do?”

Caro asked.

“Let’s see… Shall we wander around the city?”

“Yes! It’s a date, then.”

Caro said happily. Since we decided on today’s plans, we chose to get out of bed. As we picked up our discarded clothes and dressed, I realized something.

“I don’t have any clothes to wear for going out.”

I said.

“Technically, the school rules state that we must wear our uniforms when going out, you know? Though very few people actually follow that.”

If uniforms were fine, there seemed to be no problem. Caro returned to her room, and the two of us changed into our uniforms and gathered in the living room.

After finishing breakfast, we decided to head out.

“As expected, the holiday spot is the Central Plaza.”

Caro and I arrived at the Central Plaza. In the game, holiday actions consisted of raising parameters like study or exercise, earning money at part-time jobs, shopping, going out, or resting. If you had scheduled a date, that day became a date. When choosing “go out,” you would very rarely run into someone. Of course, besides romance targets, you could also meet sub-characters like Josette. As the game progressed, the number of places you could go increased, but the Central Plaza was one of the locations available from the initial stage.

…So that must be how it works. Right in front of us was Rachel, similarly dressed in her uniform. Apparently, she had chosen “go out” for this morning.

“Good morning, Rachel-san.”

“I wonder why you know my name? I believe we weren’t acquainted enough for me to tell you my name?”

When I greeted her, Rachel answered sounding displeased.

“What’s with you? I don’t think that’s any way to respond when Kent-san greeted you.”

Caro snapped at Rachel.

“I couldn’t care less about that. Must be nice, being with your boyfriend; ‘normies should just explode’.”

“Aren’t you the one being pampered by the Prince and all those popular people at school?”

Caro and Rachel began an argument. Given the incident the other day, I hesitated whether I should intervene. Soon, they started scuffling.

“For an attendant, you’re standing out way too much!”

“I don’t have to take that from you!”

Judging that this was getting bad, I decided to stop them.

“Both of you, calm down. Why can’t you get along?”

Spreading my arms, I stepped between the two of them. When I did, a soft sensation was transmitted to both of my hands.

“Honestly, Kent-san, to grope my breasts in a place with so many people… didn’t you get enough this morning?”

Caro said, looking at me happily with flushed cheeks.

Caro seemed fine, but Rachel, whose breast I was also groping, was no longer in a normal state.

“Ah, aaaaaah, you! What do you think you’re doing?! And so boldly in the middle of the street, I’m calling the police! Molester! Pervert!”

“I won’t let Kent-san be the only one treated like a pervert!”

The moment Rachel screamed, Caro immediately stepped in and groped Rachel’s breast on the opposite side.

“Hyan!”

Rachel let out a cute yelp.

“Now I am guilty of the same crime as Kent-san. Take us wherever you like.”

While Caro said that, her hands had captured their targets and were moving firmly.

“Honestly, this is so embarrassing in a place like this… Fine already. I get it, so let go!”

Caro and I let go and faced Rachel.

“What enviably sized breasts you have. If I had this much, Kent-san would be happy too…”

Caro glared at Rachel regretfully.

“What a day… I’m really out of luck. Fine, you two just go enjoy your date. I’m leaving.”

Saying so, she walked away grumpily.

“Kent-san, did the sensation of Rachel-san’s breasts feel good?”

“They weren’t too big, a nice size that fit well in the hand. Also, they were soft.”

I gave my honest impression.

“So small ones really aren’t to your liking… sniff.”

Caro spoke to me with a sad face.

“No, no, small is fine too. Size isn’t everything.”

“Is that true?”

Seeing Caro’s face light up with a grin made my heart skip a beat. After that, the two of us strolled around the Central Plaza.

“It’s almost time for lunch. What shall we do, Kent-san?”

Caro asked me.

“Let’s see… shall we try going to a different bakery for once? I guess you could call it scouting the enemy?”

“That sounds interesting. I’m curious to see how other shops are doing things too.”

Having decided on our destination, we moved out.

“If I recall, the nearest bakery from here is… there it is.”

A short distance from the Central Plaza, there was a bakery. The shop wasn’t small like Marie-san’s; it was a large establishment that looked like it sold quite a high volume.

“Welcom— …You two, don’t tell me you followed me here?”

A displeased clerk spoke the moment the two of us entered the shop.

I thought about what a bad attitude this clerk had and looked at the person who said it. Then I understood. The person working as a clerk was Rachel. Dressed in a cute uniform, her figure possessed a charm that would make anyone stare, but because her attitude was poor, the negative points were many, making it a shame.

“We just happened to stop by, so we didn’t follow you.”

“I wonder about that.”

I said that to clear up the misunderstanding, but Rachel didn’t seem to believe me.

“Technically, we are customers, you know? Look, someone is watching from the back.”

Caro said to Rachel while shifting her gaze toward the back of the shop.

“Hic! Welcome. Please let me know when you’ve decided on your order.”

Realizing the gaze—likely the owner of this shop—Rachel hurriedly switched to a business smile and spoke.

I looked around the shop. The store was spacious, but the bread they handled was only one type: the same flat bread that used to be sold at Marie-san’s bakery. One difference, however, was that there was a dining space provided where you could eat what you purchased. It seemed you could also order drinks like tea or black tea. Several couples were sitting in the dining space, making it look like a dating spot.

“Caro-san, since we’re here, shall we eat? There seems to be only one type of bread, but what will you have for a drink?”

“Let’s see. I’ll have black tea, I guess.”

“Then I’ll have black tea too.”

“Yes, yes, two breads and two black teas. Must be nice, you normies…”

After confirming the owner wasn’t looking, Rachel handled us bluntly. Handing over the money and receiving the products, Caro and I took our places in the dining space.

“Until now, I took eating this bread for granted, but after eating Marie-san’s bread, it feels a bit lacking.”

Caro gave her impression after taking one bite of the bread.

“I think the ingredients being used are probably almost the same, you know?”

“Is that so? But the taste and the fluffy texture when you eat it are completely different.”

Caro answered curiously to what I said.

“Actually, if you add one specific item, it becomes fluffy bread. The only difference is whether that’s in there or not.”

“Just that makes it such a different thing.”

Caro said while looking at the flat bread after hearing my explanation.

“Would you like a refill of black tea?”

Before I knew it, Rachel was standing behind us.

“No, I’m fine for now.”

I said, but Rachel didn’t seem to have any intention of going back.

“That ‘Marie-san’s bakery’ you were talking about earlier is the place that’s the talk of the town right now, isn’t it?”

Rachel spoke to us.

“Is it the talk of the town?”

I asked back.

“It is. Because they’re selling strange bread there, customers are being taken from other bakeries, and it seems the management of shops, including this one, is worsening.”

Rachel said, taking care not to be heard by the owner. I hadn’t been aware of that, but now that she mentioned it, I remembered hearing about the talk from the bakers’ guild meeting from Marie-san before.

“Come to think of it, I might have a memory of hearing something like that from Marie-san.”

“Do you know that Marie-san from that bakery?”

“Well, it’s my part-time job, after all… and Caro here works there too.”

When I said that, Rachel looked surprised and spoke.

“Um, weren’t you a noble? There shouldn’t be any need for you to work in a place like that.”

“Actually, I’m currently staying at Kent-san’s house. My parents were detained and our home and everything else was confiscated…”

Hearing Caro’s story, Rachel became teary-eyed.

“I’m sorry… I didn’t know that and was being harsh… if you have any trouble, feel free to consult me. I’ll help as much as I can.”

“Thank you.”

Touching upon Rachel’s kindness, Caro thanked her honestly.

“Even so, you’re a brute, aren’t you… taking advantage of someone’s weakness to make them your woman.”

Rachel said to me mischievously.

“It’s not like that…”

“I know. I just wanted to say it. That’s right… back to the topic. I haven’t been there myself, but I heard you sell various kinds of bread.”

“Kent-san came up with all of those breads. Isn’t it amazing?”

Caro spoke happily, as if it were about herself.

“Kent-san… was it? Do you have some time after this?”

“Eh? Well, it’s my day off, so I guess I do.”

“I see. In that case, could I have you come to this shop in the evening? I want to talk after my shift ends.”

“Eh?”

Surprised by Rachel’s sudden invitation, I instinctively looked at Caro. Then Caro gave a light nod. She seemed to be telling me to go.

“All right. I’ll visit later.”

“I’m counting on you.”

Saying so, Rachel returned to work.

Caro and I also finished our meal and left the shop.

“The conversation went in a strange direction, didn’t it?”

“It can’t be helped. But I didn’t think I’d be able to get along with Rachel-san. Even though I harassed her so much…”

“What kind of harassment did you do?”

I said mischievously. Actually, I knew what kind of harassment she had done. I had experienced it more than I cared to in the game.

“Graffiti on her desk, scattering papers with bad things written on them, maybe I hid her things too?”

“You were doing things like that?”

I knew, but I asked back while pretending not to. By the way, these are things that turned into mini-games in the game. If you failed, your parameters would drop.

“That’s a story from the past. Now I’m devoted only to Kent-san.”

Saying so, Caro hugged me. Involuntarily, I tried stroking Caro’s head.
