Even the Myryans guarding the wall at the end seemed grotesquely large. But facing the being that broke through the wall, those earlier ones weren’t big at all.
Kouuuuuung―
The Murian King emitted a strange roar.
There’s one reason this creature is called the Murian King: the crown-shaped crystal embedded in its head.
And it’s not wrong, since it’s effectively the one leading all the Myryans.
The unrestrained ferocity of a primordial predator made the legion members flinch and unconsciously step back.
One step.
That first small step forward is always the important one.
It stared at me as if asking, “Is it you?”
Unlike the other Myryans, the rising one’s gaze was roughly level with mine. A massive beast.
“Hazel, defend. Don’t think about intervening. Mae Young-ryeong as well. Focus on treating the wounded.”
I could feel them flinch. The two women were excellent representatives, but they must have been tense.
But a calm voice soon came. It was Hazel.
“Please be careful, companion.”
“Yes.”
I spoke without turning my gaze back.
At the end of that exchange I felt the space split and separate. Even this one looked unmistakably tense.
Start light? What nonsense.
You go all out from the start. That’s the kind of battle I know.
The sound of him entering the true stance and the long spear piercing the creature’s body were almost simultaneous.
The spear, imbued with the breaker and emitting a sinister black light, sank more than halfway into the creature’s body.
Hazel watched, trembling, as her companion and lifelong lover fought beyond the now-separated space.
She wished he had asked for help, but he ordered her to focus on defense and jumped into the fight alone.
She glanced at Talis and Biosis just in case, but all four transcendants watched the companion and the monster’s fight with undisguised interest.
Only the gardener looked slightly worried, but he straightened up and simply observed as well.
With a deafening roar that could tear eardrums, the companion’s body scattered as if disappearing and then reappeared in front of the Myryans.
When did he pull that out? The long spear in his hand was buried more than halfway into the creature’s body.
“Aah…….”
Hazel couldn’t help but exclaim at that astonishing divine stature. But the exchange had only just begun.
Kim Han’s movements, after dropping the spear and stepping back, seemed like a continuous use of blink.
When he seemed to be here he’d be over there, when he seemed to be in front he’d appear behind—the massive Myryans couldn’t keep up.
Movements that couldn’t be followed with sight.
Before the creature could even notice, the companion’s blade was deeply lodged in one spot of its body.
Where did all those weapons keep coming from?
It was as if the companion were an artist crafting a piece, evenly embedding various weapons into each joint.
“…Why?”
After embedding about fifteen or so weapons into the creature’s body, the beast called king began to move.
The party was taken aback when they saw what came from its gaping mouth.
The talent ‘Battlefield Analysis’ quickly analyzed the Myryans’ attack.
A massive flow of divine power. A piercing-type attack.
“Breath?”
Even for a beast, a breath attack—from an ant-level creature?
Were the others thinking the same as Hazel? Everyone except the wounded sprang to their feet.
As everyone’s eyes searched for Kim Han, Naruan pointed with a tiny finger and shouted.
“There!!”
Above the head of the Myryans, which was radiating energy fiercely.
Near the crown-shaped jewel shimmering in five colors—blue, red, yellow, green, and white—the companion Kim Han held two sickles brimming with intense energy.
A cruel smile firmly planted at the corner of his mouth.
After clashing several times he could tell for sure: this guy doesn’t even reach the toe of a super-monster.
If the members were in top condition, he’d have wanted to try a match.
Of course they wouldn’t win, but if Hazel joined they could at least inflict serious wounds on it.
And it’s not easy to experience being on the brink of death under reasonably safe conditions.
It’s just a pity that their current condition isn’t good enough to let them test that fight.
In any case, after a few exchanges—or rather, one-sided attacks—the conclusion was that this big-bodied guy was weaker than expected.
After that it became a one-sided ravaging.
Since it wasn’t as strong as expected—just an energy reservoir—he didn’t want its best materials to be ruined.
They circled it, planting weapons to mark a clear boundary, and moved to obtain the most important materials first.
After teasing it for some time, they felt its belly touch the ground.
“Finally.”
“Heh heh, of course.”
The moment its mouth opened, Kim Han used stealth briefly to land carefully on its head.
As stealth disengaged he pulled out two sickles, filled them with breakthrough enhanced energy, and drove them down toward the surrounding skulls—like a farmer digging up a huge buried stone with two sickles.
Fuuuuung―!!
As the creature thrashed in agony, Kim Han quickly buried both legs into its head.
The energy-infused legs pierced the Myryan King’s hide and sank up to the ankles.
After the sickle sank into the edge of the five-colored jewel, the gem finally began to wobble and shift from its place.
At the jewel’s movement he quickly tossed the sickles into his inventory and overlaid divine power onto both hands.
Like wearing claws, five streams of energy shot out from five fingers.
The breaker, which promises to destroy everything, gouged into the Myryans’ skull like cutting tofu.
Kim Han ripped out the crown—five horned pieces smeared with flesh—threw it into his inventory, and launched himself away.
The Myryan King rolled its body, emitting light.
Was it from pain, or the loss of its treasure?
The Myryans then looked somewhere with eyes full of venom—toward where the small creature that tormented it was.
Recently, the Mixed Origin Yang Divine Art reached 5 stars.
And now the four divided divine powers had completely unified into chaos.
Not only that, the chaos could be used like Force for combat, summon spirits like Spirit, cast healing magic like the Divine, and perform magic like mana.
That chaos stat was ‘150’.
A divine power he hadn’t experienced in the 31 years of his past life stretched awake within him.
Energy that had been tightly suppressed until now spread and moved actively inside.
Kim Han heard a heavy sound only he could hear—‘tu—woong’—and the chaos reaching 150 revealed its substance.
The divine power that had been swirling throughout his body shot outward into his limbs and senses, giving an indescribable feeling—truly a freedom he’d never felt before.
Just as a hollowness began to wrap Kim Han, he used the Renewal skill along the path marked in his vision and moved his feet.
Two or three steps—his eyes widened on the thick joint connecting the Myryan King’s head and torso.
Kim Han thrust a fist covered in black, breaker-infused light toward that narrow spot.
Kwaaang―!
Kuung―
“Ha!”
With an explosive boom that shook the cave and divine power so intense it dazed the mind, the giant Myryan King collapsed.
And Kim Han clicked his tongue in obvious displeasure.
What was he dissatisfied with?
Hazel worried—could something be wrong with his body?
“Wow! Captain!! Acho!”
While lost in anxious thought, Naruan, who was about to run to her companion, ran into the wall of the space he had set up and clutched her nose.
“Ah… Naruan, sorry.”
I hurriedly restored the separated space.
Then Naruan clutching her nose led the legion members as they all rushed toward Kim Han.
Naruan was the first to jump on Kim Han’s back shouting, “Captain! Wow! Captain!! Really! It was Great!!” and behind her everyone wore worried looks.
Hazel shook off her needless worry at the sight and approached him.
To the place where her soul’s other half stood, to the spot beside him where she belonged.
“Damn. I showed off for nothing and lost valuable materials.”
“Tsk.”
The outer hide connecting the neck and torso was completely destroyed and scattered everywhere.
Just from showing off once, enough material to make an upper armor piece was gone.
When he used to just brawl, he didn’t notice, but managing everything made each loss feel wasteful.
He realized Lee Hyo-ju wasn’t shouting for no reason in her past life.
“No, it’s this damn housewife instinct.”
As Kim Han shook his head to rid himself of such stingy thoughts, he noticed a large hole in the Myryan King’s neck area. Even now, it’s a shame.
As he reproached himself, he heard the pattering sound of someone running—dododododo.
You’d know without even looking. The sound Naruan makes when she runs—especially when she’s happy.
Should he dodge? He hesitated briefly, but rather than see the tiny girl with teary eyes, he decided to offer his back.
Swoosh―!
“Captain! Wow! Captain!! Really! Great!!”
“Are you okay?”
“Are you alright!?”
“Huh……”
“…There’s really a monster here.”
“They targeted the wrong raid boss. The Myryans should’ve raided our boss……”
And thus the clearing of the Myryans’ lair ended.
As with everything, the ending is as important as the beginning.
First, we began butchering the Murian King’s corpse, which no one had touched.
“Nice, nice.”
After finishing the butchering and happily placing materials in my inventory, I noticed a crown-shaped crystal glowing in five colors inside my inventory.
It was taken from the Murian King’s head.
I had quickly removed it earlier in case it might shatter during the attack. Now I checked its info.
“This is truly a Legend-grade item worthy of its name.”
Satisfied, I finished sorting and stood up, catching the eager faces of the party looking at me.
“The expedition is over.”
“Wow!!”
“Hooray!”
…
…
“However!”
The party’s cheering suddenly cut off. Faces of disbelief.
Naruan muttered, “I hope the emperor above the king doesn’t suddenly appear?”
“We’ll go to the Murian King’s nest, collect the spoils, and then rest.”
“Ah! You scared me!!”
With Arun’s cry, everyone exhaled in relief in their own ways.
Naruan happily bounced on the spot, “There really wasn’t an emperor after all!”
