You do, 100%. Publishing on SDO Originals doesn't transfer any IP, copyright, or publishing rights. You can take your story anywhere, translate it, or walk away with it whenever you want.

Click "Start writing" and you'll land in your Loom dashboard. From there you can create your first project, write chapters, and publish.

No. Anyone with a verified account can write on SDO Originals. No invite or application needed.

Our first writing competition runs from July 6, 2026 to January 30, 2027. Prizes: $500 / $250 / $100 + a 2-month homepage banner + winner badges. Read the launch announcement for the full ruleset.

Monetization is still in development. We'll announce the details after the competition launches, and authors will be able to earn directly from their Originals.

Yes. Only your competition entry — limited to one per author — must be new, original, and stay exclusive to SkyDemonOrder until the competition ends. All your other stories can be crossposted anywhere you like.

For the competition, prose must be human-written. AI is fine for editing, proofreading, and brainstorming. Outside the competition, it's allowed, but be honest with your readers about how it's used.
