Next, I put into the inventory a single spear that the members had unanimously said was amazing just a moment ago.
It was a peculiar spear with sharp blades on both ends, and the blades gave off a dark green glow.
“Huh….”
While examining the item, a dry laugh escaped me without my noticing for the first time.
A Poison Lancer. If a Poison Lancer who could handle poison with skill had Trunco in hand…?
Just thinking about it gave me chills. I looked over the spear once more carefully and put it into the inventory.
Next, I picked up a sleek bow that shimmered silver like moonlight.
From its gracefully curved body to its transparent bowstring, it was a bow so beautiful that anyone who handled a bow would covet it.
While looking at Balisarda’s description, I suddenly stopped my hand.
It was partly because it was the first time I’d seen a sword that also appeared in Earth’s myths, but more than that, because the explanation was so brief.
What puzzled me most was the explanation of that unique authority, which looked as if it had been cut off mid-output.
‘Void Kill?’
For some reason, there was no explanation of the authority at all. Even the descriptions of classes are printed in detail, but there is no explanation whatsoever for the authority.
As I held Balisarda and agonized over ‘Void Kill,’ a line of message floated up in the air.
“…No.”
Not yet. Registering as the master here and now was not a good idea.
Everyone’s intimacy level was Trust, but with equipment this advanced, a trivial action could lead to a huge misunderstanding. Unless it was that jewel box left for last.
Putting my curiosity aside, I put Balisarda into the inventory and picked up the jewel box.
A shorter explanation than expected. I opened the jewel box out of curiosity. No, I tried to open it.
“Yes.”
“Huh?”
Click—
The jewel box opened by itself. And, fitting its small size, there were no jewels inside.
From the empty jewel box, a three-dimensional image seemed to be projected like a hologram, and then with a ‘pop!’ light burst forth and a tiny fairy appeared.
A fairy wearing a fluttering yellow dress and flying around on two pairs of thin wings.
—Hello, new master.
“Huh? Uh… uh!”
“W-Wow! A fairy, a fairy!”
“I couldn’t get registered as the master…. Hng!”
“Wow! Wow!”
—Are you the new master?
“Huh? Yeah.”
The fairy flying before my eyes had appeared through magical imagery like a hologram, yet it had substance.
I lightly poked it with a finger, and I could feel the touch. A real fairy.
Even in my previous life, where I lived for 31 years in the Battlefield of the Gods, I never got to see this much. In this life, I was seeing a lot of things in my fifth year. How many people have actually seen a fairy in person?
—Then I will begin master registration. Master, I’ll eat well! Nom!
The fairy, gently swimming through the air and circling around me once, passed over my right shoulder and bit my ear with a ‘chomp!’
I don’t know whether it drew blood, but what surprised me most was that this tiny fairy had pierced my body, which had the talents of ‘Enhanced Body’ and ‘Regeneration.’
“Uh? Ah, no!!”
Arun’s scream came out of nowhere. While the whole party was startled, Arun collapsed to the spot and cried out, tearing at his hair.
“This can’t be!! A fairy… a fairy!! A fairy sucking blood! My dream? My romance? My fantasy!! Die!!”
“Hey, hey! Hold him back! Hold him back!!”
I had already taken out and gripped the ‘Branch of the World Tree,’ and everyone around was trying to hold back Arun, who at a glance looked like he was trying to attack me.
A message appears, almost as if the caretaker ego had changed because of the ego the Creator gave me as a bonus, and it was sighing while looking at Arun.
And what’s with this fantasy about fairies? Even while restrained by the other members, Arun kept sniffing and repeating, ‘A fairy… a vampire….’
No wonder the ego sighed.
But wait.
“Administrator?”
—Yes! Master!
“You?”
The fairy, flapping its two pairs of wings and blinking its bright eyes as it flew around me, apparently held the title of administrator.
The thing staring at me with eyes that seemed to be urging me to ask it questions reminded me of Tinker Bell, who stalked Peter Pan.
At that gaze attack, I looked at Hazel and Lee Hyo-ju, but the two women were observing me with smiles on their lips, as if something was that amusing.
A strange smile, as if to say, ‘We found your weakness!’
“R-right…. Then could you show me the contents inside first?”
—Yes, master.
Spinning—pop!
Spinning in the air and performing tricks like a hero from a girls’ comic, images rose one by one in my mind along with white smoke.
They were categorized like a school bag, into separate categories.
Three main ones.
Jewels, divine power stones, and elixirs.
Within the jewel category, more finely subdivided jewels were listed.
What surprised me most, of course, was the elixirs. Why were elixirs in here?
“Why is this…?”
To my question, the thing that I couldn’t tell whether it was a fairy or a vampire giggled and answered.
—Because they’re jewels.
“…I see.”
When I asked it to take out any elixir, it flew over with a cute grunt of ‘Heave-ho!’ while carrying a jewel as big as its own body.
When I placed the elixir in my hand and activated ‘Check,’ item information flowed up in a cascade.
“Crazy….!”
I couldn’t easily close my mouth at the class of such an empire that ruled the continent.
