When expanding the base, I had estimated a construction period of about one week.

However, thanks to the skills of Mana Counterfeiter, I had somehow managed to complete ninety-nine percent of the plan before dusk.

As the final touch, I built a gate at the place that would become the entrance to the base.

This was the one thing I had no original to duplicate from, so I handmade it from scratch.

Gisu Gate
Quantity: 1
Quality Level 37 | (Material Level 12 + Dexterity Bonus 2 + Job Bonus 23)
A gate made from high-quality Gisu lumber.
Due to various bonuses, it has resistance to earthquakes, fire, and corrosion.
Also, the letters carved into it will never deteriorate.

The letters carved into the top of the gate read “Leopin Village.”

That’s right. I had finally built a village…!

“I did iiiiiiiiiiiit!”

The villagers were even happier about this than I was.

“Leo-kun, that was amazing! I can’t believe you created a village so easily!”

“As expected of you, Master! Magnificent!”

“Leopin-kun, can we really live here!?”

“T-t-to think I can l-l-live in the s-same place as Ch-Chef Leopin… !?”

“It’s like a dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam!!”

Monaka, Kotone, and Maachan were extremely happy, and Kurumi was on the verge of fainting.

When I looked toward the residential district, many students were watching Leopin Village from a distance.

“What!? What is that!? There wasn’t anything like that there yesterday!”

“L-Leopin Village!? Seriously!? That trash finally even built a village…!”

“I-it’s probably a trashy village, just like him anyway!”

“L-look! Those huge fields! And every field has a bumper crop…!”

“That’s not all! There’s even a ranch!”

“What!? Since when did that trash bastard even have a ranch!?”

“W-we even had to get contractors to build our own houses…!”

“And we still have to pay high prices to buy the School Store’s nasty food…!”

“Ahh… the kids in Leopin Village all look so happy…!”

“Surrounded by splendid houses and crops, lots of pets and livestock… rich food and the smiles of their comrades…”

“When I entered this academy, living like that was my dream…”

“I-I’m so jealooooooooooooooooooooous!!”

The students of the residential district were not the only ones envying Leopin Village.

The one who lived at the top of the school building castle and had enjoyed the height of prosperity was also one of them.

When one became student council president, they were specially granted the right to live inside the school building.

They could live without any inconvenience alongside the principal, vice principal, and teachers, but…

Right now, he was filled with craving.

He was glued to the crystal plate of the magical surveillance device, groaning like a starving beast.

What was reflected in his eyes was the sign for Leopin Village.

“Guh… gugh… gugigigi…! Starting tomorrow, I was going to make full use of my authority as student council president and thoroughly interfere with his village building…! I never imagined he would complete a village in just one day…! Even I spent days making my initial base…!”

Incidentally, he had not actually completed a base.

All he had done was build pointlessly tall walls while completely ignoring their strength, causing them to collapse and driving the residential district to the brink of destruction.

Yes. All he had done was interfere with and obstruct others.

Moreover, every time he did it against Leopin, it backfired on him.

He was a failure of a Sage, to the point that there was no longer any need to compare him to Leopin.

However, his stubborn refusal to give up was on Leopin’s level.

“In that case, I’ll activate the Leopin Village Annihilation Plan…! With my genius mind, I’ll turn that village to ash in a single night…!”

“Huh? Huuuh? You’re still here?”

A deliberately affected voice came from behind him, and Weiss turned around.

At the room’s entrance stood Kakerukun and the vice principal.

“After spreading that much disgrace throughout the whole kingdom, don’t tell me you still plan to remain student council president, okay? Okay!”

“P-Principal! The other day’s failure was not my fault! Toinette… no, everything was Leopin’s fault! But please rest assured! I was delayed by that man’s despicable trap, but the same trick will never work on me again! With the secret plan I have held in reserve as a Sage, I will drive that Leopin out of school!”

However, Kakerukun asked back with a stupid look, like a horse forced to listen to a sutra.

“Huh? What are you saying this late in the game? Now that we know you’re trash below Leopin-kun, anything you do is pointless, okay? Okay!”

“M-me, below Leopin…!? Take that back! Even if you are the principal, there are things you can and cannot say! Even if I forgive you, my father will…!”

Suddenly, a voice came from the hallway behind Kakerukun.

“3.1415926!”

“Th-that voice, it can’t be…!?”

“Yes, it is exactly that.”

A smart-looking shadow appeared between Kakerukun and the vice principal, and Weiss nearly stopped breathing.

“Y-you’re Pies…!? Why are you here!?”

The one called that was an intelligent-looking boy who closely resembled Weiss.

As if stealing Weiss’s usual gesture, Pies pushed up his round glasses.

“3.1415926… Brother, do you still not understand? The fact that I am here means you are already no longer needed. Not just by this school, but by our family as well…!”

…Kraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!!

Weiss was crushed by the shock as if he had taken a direct lightning strike.

“I certainly watched your disgrace too, Brother. Eating trash and throwing up from it is beyond shameful for our family, honestly… Unlike you, Brother, I am a genius, so I was able to skip about a year and enter this academy. Not only that, I immediately joined the student council.”

“What…? If an immature brat like you becomes student council president, this academy will…!”

“3.1415926… Brother, you really do not understand. I just said I joined the student council, didn’t I?”

“H… hmph, so there is someone else as student council president. But in this academy, there is no one more suited to being student council president than me…”

Weiss almost said “no one,” then suddenly froze.

“N… no way…!? Don’t tell me those people are…!?”

…Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!

As if answering that question, the entire wall on the hallway side blew away.

Beyond the billowing dust were several silhouettes.

The people who had likely caused this destruction were in the room on the other side of the hallway.

In other words, they had broken through two walls at once.

There was no job that could display this much destructive power without using any tool, except a highest-tier job.

“Weaaaak♪ If the wall was this fragile, Grandma didn’t even need to come out.”

“But this made the room a little wider. Until now, it was about the size of a rabbit hutch, but now it’s at least about the size of a pigsty☆”

The student council room Weiss had been in was as spacious as a hotel royal suite.

It had a spacious walk-in closet, three bathrooms, and as many as five bedrooms.

In this academy, it was a room blessed with luxury second only to the principal’s and vice principal’s, and yet they called it a rabbit hutch…

From those mocking lines, Weiss was certain.

“Y-you people are…!? Class 1-11…! You have finally come to this academy…!?”

However, none of the shadows answered.

Instead, Pies spoke with a sigh mixed into his voice.

“3.1415926… Hah. My classmates are all genuine, so it seems they do not want to exchange words with a fake like you, Brother.”

“Y-you call me a fake…!? Don’t say such ridiculous things, Pies! Besides, I was originally scheduled to be transferred into Class 1-11! And you think someone like you can steal that from me…!”

One of the shadows laughed. It was an especially small shadow, like a child’s.

“Weaaaak♪ If that’s what you say, why not show off your ability and take it back? How about a magic duel with Grandma?”

“Judging from that body, you’re a skip-grade student too!? And unlike Pies, not from middle school, but from even lower, elementary school…! I have heard the rumors! Genius Archmage Girl, Bakuon! But no matter how much of a genius you are, there’s no way a mere elementary schooler can win a magic duel against me, a high school Sage…!”

Weiss braced himself and took a stance to activate a great spell.

However, in the next instant, his body was swept away by a blast and impact like a muddy torrent.

…Booooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!

The wall on the window side was blown to pieces, and Weiss’s body was thrown out into the sunset sky.

As Weiss fell spread-eagled, his eyes were wide open behind his cracked glasses.

“F-fast…!? What incredibly fast chanting…!? N-no way, was it chantless…!? To think there is a magician in this world who can cast a high-level spell like explosion magic without chanting…!”

Weiss fell together with the rubble.

The student council room was located near the top of the castle, about thirty meters above the ground.

At this rate, he would slam into the school building’s courtyard, and he would likely not survive.

Weiss stared blankly up at the now well-ventilated student council room.

There, he saw Bakuon sticking her tongue out at him and Pies showing no sign of concern.

And the distinguished members of Class 1-11 were shining orange.

All of them were clad in splendid equipment, to the point that even Weiss’s custom-made coat looked shabby to him.
