What appeared before us like a god of destruction— was a colossal existence that more than lived up to the force of its entrance.

The Tamer trainees fell into panic, screaming and scattering in all directions.

“W-Whaaa!? A bear!? It’s a beeeear!?”

“And that bear—it’s the lord of the forest!?”

“H-How can a wild bear enter the academy!? The Repulsion defensive magic should still be active inside the grounds!”

“That’s because it’s my pet.”

Thanks to the effect of the Whirlwind-Voice Potion, my words carried even amid the chaos.

The students who had been scrambling to flee froze in place.

“N-No way… You tamed a bear…?”

“And not just any bear—the violent one called the lord of the forest…?”

“He’s not violent. He’s gentle. Come here, Mark.”

When I beckoned, Mark let out a “Kwon!” like a dog, wagged his round tail, and stepped into the ring.

Right then, Monaka and Kotone came running in, completely out of breath.

“Huff, huff… We finally found you, Leo-kun…!”

“O-Our apologies for the delay, Master…!”

The two of them, who normally would never run, must have sprinted here at full speed.

Seeing the usually graceful pair soaked in sweat felt strangely fresh.

“What’s wrong, you two? Did something happen?”

“T-That’s our line! We heard your voice shouting ‘Come on!’ and thought you were calling us…!”

“We excused ourselves from class and came searching for you, Master!”

“No, I wasn’t calling you two, I was calling—”

“A-Amazing…”

Someone murmured behind us.

“Not just the bear—even Lady Monaka and Lady Kotone came when he called…!”

“I thought only the king could summon those two…!”

“And they ran around desperately searching for him—that means they really care about that trash…!”

“Hmph.”

Weiss’s irritated voice cut through the spectators.

“I know exactly what you did, Leopin! You used despicable, unspeakable methods to seize their weaknesses!”

““That’s not true!””

The two denied it instantly, but Weiss refused to listen.

“I saw through you from the very beginning! You’re a vile man who will use any means to achieve his goals! That’s why I expelled you! And that’s why I’m purging you now!”

Instructor Domanna snapped her fingers excitedly.

“Oooh, is this a rivalry showdown!? I’m fired up!”

“Well then, since both sides’ pets are all here, let’s go ahead and settle this with a bang! Pet Battle! Ready—go!”

Weiss took the initiative, raising the whip at his waist and cracking it against the ground.

“Go! Black Panther! Tear that filthy bear to pieces!”

I braced myself.

Mark clearly had the advantage in power, but in speed, the opponent was undoubtedly superior.

If things went wrong, Mark’s neck could be torn out in a single strike…!

—or so I thought, but that fear proved unfounded.

The Black Panther ignored Weiss’s command.

It sprawled lazily at its owner’s feet and let out a big yawn.

“W-What are you doing, Black Panther!?

Get up and fight! Are you really my pet!?”

The Black Panther remained completely relaxed.

Finally losing patience, Weiss lashed it with his whip.

“Gyaun!?”

The Black Panther recoiled, then rose to its feet, golden eyes flashing.

“So you’re ready now! Go—bite it, Black Panther!”

“GRAOW!”

“N-Not me! The enemy’s over there! Waaaaah!? Stop it! Stop iiiit!”

The exchange was almost comical—but this was no time to laugh.

Pinned beneath the Black Panther, Weiss had his face raked by claws and looked seconds away from having his throat torn out.

I rushed toward him.

Sliding in, I thrust my hand toward the Black Panther.

“Become mine! Taming!”

“That won’t work!”

Instructor Domanna shouted.

“You can’t use Taming on someone else’s pet! So run—now! Ah! No—kyaaaaa!”

Her warning turned into a scream midway.

Because the Black Panther had leapt at me.

The vice principal threw his hands into the air and jumped in delight.

“We did it, zansu! At last, we’ve made that trash scream in agony, zansuuuu!!!!!”

But the very next moment, the one screaming was the vice principal himself.

“Gyaaah!?”

“Ahaha, that tickles! Ahahahaha!”

The Black Panther was licking my face like a playful black cat.

A feline’s tongue was usually rough like sandpaper and hurt when it licked you— but this one was smooth and didn’t hurt at all.

Instructor Domanna collapsed to her knees.

“N-No way…”

The Tamer trainees were just as stunned, their legs giving out.

“H-How!? How can he tame someone else’s pet!? That’s supposed to be absolutely impossible!”

“I-I knew it! Even if only for a moment, he stole our pets! He used the legendary Tamer technique!”

“D-Don’t tell me that’s…!?”

“Yes—‘Brain-Breaking Taming Revolution’! A skill only legendary Tamers can use to steal another person’s pet…!”

“They say the Tamer who loses their pet is so humiliated they’re left barely functional…!? T-This can’t be real! A mere student using a cuckolding-style pet theft technique!? T-Tell me it’s a lie!”

The Tamer trainees clutched their heads, screaming in denial as if their minds had truly been shattered.

…No. This wasn’t anything like that.

In my view, the Black Panther wasn’t a properly trained pet—just a pet.

That was why it ignored Weiss’s commands, and why my Taming skill worked on it.

As for Weiss himself, his body was battered all over, eyes rolled back as he lay unconscious.
