Character Introductions.

・Nino (Male / 26 years old / Alchemist / Ordinary Race)
Black hair and black eyes with a plain face. He has a slender build and is only slightly taller than the average male. While he is generally unflappable, he prefers not to stand out. His memories of a past life awakened upon seeing the Moon of Ruin. He has mastered near-universal transmutation arts and is plotting to build a shelter within a subterranean labyrinth.

・Paula Alvarez (Female / 24 years old / Monster Tamer / Mazin Race)
A beautiful woman with red hair, large reddish eyes, and bewitching lips. Her brown skin and black tail are proof of her Mazin heritage. Her physique can be described in one word: glamorous. She speaks in a slightly relaxed manner but possesses sharp eyes that can see into the hearts of others. She is the daughter of an influential noble from the Dunkelheit Magic Empire and has a preference for men with high magic power.

・Yoru (♀ / Under 1 year old / Familiar / Race Unknown)
A mysterious monster born from an egg kept secret by Paula’s family. Her entire body is covered in fluffy fur, but for some reason, her face looks human. She has large, triangular beast ears. She is about the height of a three-year-old child.

・Kuu (♂ / Under 1 year old / Familiar / Race Unknown)
A monster born from an egg, just like Yoru. Though they are twins, he is apparently the younger brother. Unlike his sister, he is covered in feathers and is capable of flight. The feathers around his neck are soft and puffed up. He is about the same height as his sister.

・Dirk (Male / 51 years old / Healer / Oni Race)
The village chief of the frontier settlement. He has a tall, rugged appearance and looks good in a straw hat. He is honest and persistent. A single horn grows from his forehead, and he is blessed with the protection of Light.

・Carina (Female / 49 years old / Healer / Oni Race)
The village chief’s wife, a woman with a perfectly straight posture. She also has a horn on her forehead but has little experience as a healer. She has a calm personality and serves as the leader of the village women. She is also the best seamstress in the village.

・Ute (Female / 44 years old / Ordinary Race)
The proprietress of the village’s only tavern, the “Tomorrow’s Cask Inn.” She has a stout, heavy build, and her personality is just as sturdy. Having lost her husband early, she raised her only daughter single-handedly. she is a trusted advisor to the villagers.

・Hans (Male / 36 years old / Mage & Swordsman / Ordinary Race)
A peddler who connects the royal capital and the village. He has a polite, affable personality that isn’t quite suited for a merchant. He has a medium build and a plain, unremarkable appearance, so he tried growing a mustache—though he still doesn’t stand out. He is Ute’s younger brother by twelve years, but people are usually shocked by how little they resemble each other.

・Mia (Female / 17 years old / Mage / Ordinary Race)
The poster girl of the Tomorrow’s Cask Inn. She has a bright personality and opens up to anyone immediately. A beauty with curly blonde hair and a voluptuous figure, she is a girl who dreams of the big city without fully realizing her own charms.

・Heimo (Male / 24 years old / Warrior / Beastman Race)
The village blacksmith. He has a shaggy, bearded appearance with small bear ears. Though short and stout, he is thick-boned and sturdy. He is quick to anger but forgets just as fast. He left his homeland, the Flam Emirates, to come to the Holy Kingdom of Virnia for training.

・Eugen (Male / 65 years old / Ordinary Race)
A bald old man with a long white beard who essentially lives at the tavern. A drunkard who is well-versed in the affairs of the western region. While he says a lot of random things, he can’t be underestimated as he occasionally drops a very sharp insight.

・Waltrude (Female / 42 years old / Oni Race)
The Queen who rules the Holy Kingdom of Virnia. She has dazzling golden hair and equally brilliant golden eyes. She possesses three spiraled horns, the mark of royalty. A moderate ruler, she has pursued a policy of harmony among the various races.

・Alma (Female / 17 years old / Oni Race)

One of the Queen’s daughters. A gentle girl who inherited her mother’s beauty. Like her mother, she has three horns. She was supposed to serve as the Shrine Maiden in the centennial “Rite of Divine Passing,” but she went missing after her ship was wrecked.

・Siegmund (Male / 41 years old / Oni Race)
The Commander of the Dragon-Spear Holy Knights. A handsome swordsman with twin curved horns. He possesses an elegant bearing that makes it hard to believe he is a father. He boasts the greatest talent for sword and spear in the kingdom and is a top-tier user of purification arts. He is a bit soft on his daughter.

・Rosalinde (Female / 19 years old / Oni Race)
Siegmund’s only daughter and a Shrine Guard Knight responsible for protecting the Shrine Maiden. A beauty with a slender, toned physique and straight hair cut neatly at the collar. She is currently missing along with the person she was guarding.

・Nicklaus (Male / 66 years old / Oni Race)
The Archbishop of the Holy Light Church. At first glance, he appears to be a gentle old man with a white beard. He is bald and has two long, curved horns. However, beneath his miter… He hates the royal family and secretly plots to strip them of their influence.

・Barnabas (Male / 50 years old / Alchemist / Oni Race)
The Workshop Master of the Royal Transmutation Workshop, born a commoner. Having risen through the ranks, his transmutation skills are unquestionably first-class. He wears a monocle and a well-groomed mustache. He has a reputation for being soft-spoken and caring toward his subordinates, though he is thinning on top.

・Arnold (Male / 23 years old / Alchemist / Oni Race)
A talented alchemist belonging to the Royal Transmutation Workshop. A handsome guy with a refreshing look and dazzling white teeth. However, he is a deep-seated discriminator and an Oni supremacist. He was the primary cause of Nino being driven out.

・Enni (Female / 27 years old / Beastman Race)
The landlady of Nino’s former boarding house. A woman with adorable fox ears who wears her brown hair up. She is a reliable, “big sister” type figure. She has a nine-year-old daughter and two sons, ages seven and five.

・Olli (Male / 29 years old / Beastman Race)
The cook at the Golden Bear Inn located on the first floor of the boarding house. He and Nino come from the same orphanage. He has a build reminiscent of a large bear, but his rounded beast ears are surprisingly cute. He has a simple, honest personality, but he is a man who can get angry for the sake of others when it counts. His cooking skills are solid.

・Leocadio Alvarez (Male / 41 years old / Mazin Race)
A Mazin businessman with extensive operations in the capital. He is Paula’s uncle and a former Imperial noble. He is a breathtakingly handsome middle-aged man who looks youthful, though he has recently developed back pain and cannot let go of his cane.
