Torre was living every day to the fullest. Not long ago, he had been dumped by his fiancée and was spending his days in the Royal Capital with a broken heart.

Ten days had passed since he arrived in the Sutrena frontier, following the recommendation of his friend Julian and a request from a certain individual.

Currently eighteen years old, Torre is the third son of an Earl; both his father and older brother are court nobles. Since he had physical strength and muscle to spare, the journey to the frontier was no hardship.

The Sutrena Lord’s manor stood on the outskirts of the central town, which spread out around a stone fortress.

He had heard the rumors from back when the previous lord, Marquis Evil, governed the land—that it was a desolate place where crops wouldn’t grow and magical beasts ran rampant.

But what was the reality? While it was undeniably bleak compared to the Royal Capital, the food situation had reportedly improved dramatically over the past month. Fences to ward off magical beasts were being constructed steadily, and damage to riding beasts and livestock had decreased.

These were the achievements of Torre’s idolized senior, Nazelbert.

Torre belonged to the Royal Capital’s Knight Order, and until a few years ago, Nazelbert had been there as well. Nazelbert, who issued precise commands and fought with magic himself, was incredibly strong—the pride not just of Torre, but of the entire Order. The knights had been overjoyed, believing he would be a flawless Prince Consort.

That was why, when the rumors of the annulment broke, Torre felt nothing but disbelief. Though he couldn’t say it publicly, Torre doubted Princess Mia and her new fiancé, Robin.

Then, after Nazelbert left the capital, problems began to arise one after another.

Why did no one stop the Princess? Why was Robin allowed to run wild? What on earth were His Majesty and the two Princes doing?

Just as his indignation reached its peak, the incident occurred where his fiancée, Lilianne, was seduced by Robin. He couldn’t believe that his honest, quiet, and gentle girl would commit such infidelity.

However, that man had claimed that wasn’t Lilianne’s true nature. He said the real Lilianne had a bright personality and that her behavior in front of Torre was merely an act of a virtuous fiancée.

“Why? Why didn’t you tell me the truth?”

Torre regretted it, but it was already too late. That said, since it was a valuable opportunity for him to marry into a house as a groom, the engagement couldn’t be easily annulled.

In the past, there were instances where a powerful King stole the fiancée of a vassal. But Robin was merely the son of a Baron and a former commoner; furthermore, he didn’t even seem to want to marry Lilianne. Torre couldn’t understand his intentions.

While Torre was training his muscles in a corner of the Knight Order’s barracks through his tears, a stranger called out to him.

The person had blond hair, green eyes, a mole near his mouth, and a glamorous face. At a glance, one could tell he was of noble birth, yet he was a noble Torre had never seen before.

“…Who are you?”

“Me? Just a shut-in.”

“What business do you have with me? You’re a suspicious fellow.”

“I’m not suspicious, not suspicious at all. I am a legitimate resident of this castle. Though, for certain reasons, I’m in a position where I can’t show my face openly. Anyway, you seem to be suffering from a broken heart.”

“Ah, has the rumor spread already? That’s right. Robin is about to steal my fiancée.”

“How strange. That fellow is already engaged himself, isn’t he?”

“Ugh, Lilianne…”

The mysterious figure looked at Torre with sympathetic eyes.

“You should put some distance between yourself and the Royal Capital. Won’t you do me a favor? I want you to head to an acquaintance of mine on the frontier.”

“Why should I? And who the hell are you anyway?!”

“This isn’t the place for that, so come to my room. I’ll reveal my purpose there. Since you have enough time to hide and work out while crying, I assume you’re free.”

Unable to shake the feeling that the man was suspicious, Torre followed the mysterious figure nonetheless. There was an atmosphere about him that made it impossible to refuse, and moreover, he possessed the same golden hair as the Princess and the Second Prince.

Thus, burdened with various circumstances, Torre was now staying in the Sutrena frontier.

Nazelbert had welcomed him warmly and appointed him as the bodyguard for his wife, the “Potato Lady.” Torre had been internally depressed, thinking, A bodyguard for the Potato Lady? but the Lord’s wife who actually appeared was an incredible beauty.

She had silky silver hair, rose-colored eyes, and was slightly tall compared to other women her age with a healthy physique. Furthermore, she possessed a wonderful magical talent and supported Nazelbert with absolute devotion.

“She is truly a wife worthy of Lord Nazelbert. Way better than someone like the Princess!”

Deeply moved, Torre made a personal vow to fulfill his duty as her guard with the utmost sincerity.

And so, currently…

“Hnnngh!”

While constructing a massive wall in the garden of the Lord’s manor, Torre wiped the glistening sweat from his brow.

At his feet, the Lady of the manor, Agnes, was hopping up and down with joy.

“Lady Agnes, please stand back, it’s dangerous. If I accidentally stepped on you, I wouldn’t be able to look Lord Nazelbert in the eye.”

“I understand!”

At the moment, Torre was using his “Gigantification” magic to construct a stable for magical beasts, as Agnes was preparing to welcome her wyvern. There had been a building resembling a stable at the manor, but it was situated in a damp, sunless spot and was far from hygienic. Furthermore, the crumbling stone structure looked more like a prison, adding to the gloomy atmosphere.

Torre agreed with Agnes’s opinion that she didn’t want to house a wyvern in such a place. Therefore, they decided to build a brand-new stable in a sunny location.

The materials consisted of light-colored wood that Agnes had reinforced with her magic. Torre was assembling them using his own magic.

Torre’s magic, “Gigantification,” allowed him to grow his body up to three times its normal size. It was an excellent skill that amplified his strength along with his size; it had been extremely useful during his time in the Knight Order. Additionally, this magic was perfect for construction, making him a favorite for building emergency defensive walls.

However, it did have a weakness.

Because the mana consumption was so high, he could only gigantify three times a day for about three minutes at a time. He was currently training his muscles every day to try and increase the duration of his magic.

Cheered on by Agnes and by Kelly, who stood a short distance away, Torre continued building the stable in high spirits.

Still, that Kelly… for a maid to casually draw up blueprints for a stable, isn’t she a bit too competent?

Torre continued the construction smoothly, impressed that she was indeed a talent secretly dispatched by that person.
