The day after revoking Morokoshi Daitoku’s adventurer license, Yatsuka Mai, the director of the Japan Adventurer’s Association, shut herself in the director’s office and stared intently at her PC monitor. At the other end of her gaze was the A-rank adventurer, Hayato.
“Today, we’re taking on the boss of the Ikebukuro Dungeon’s fifteenth stratum, the Gigant Spider, in repeat runs together with these girls!!”
The camera switched to show a group of five young women wearing matching armor striking a pose.
“We are the idol group [A-generation], who made our adventurer debut the other day!!”
Hayato stepped in from off-screen, stood beside the woman who seemed to be the leader, and began introducing them.
“Believe it or not, all the members of [A-generation] are A-rank adventurers! As you viewers can probably tell, this is insanely impressive.”
Yatsuka relaxed her mouth as she watched the scrolling comments. She was probably getting the exact reaction she expected from the viewers.
“Before we take on the Gigant Spider, let’s review how to fight it. What do we do before entering the room?”“Yes!” one of the A-generation members raised her hand.
“We prepare to cast the high-level ice magic [Ice Age]!”“Correct! All five of you make sure you’re ready to cast [Ice Age] at any moment. And the moment I open the door, unleash it all together. That way, the Gigant Spider, which is weak to the cold, will stop moving the moment it appears. While it’s immobilized, we’ll crush its red weak-point eyes.”
After that, Hayato and the members of A-generation defeated the Gigant Spider just as they had discussed. Quite effortlessly.
Watching that scene, Yatsuka looked extremely satisfied.
During the waiting time until the Gigant Spider’s respawn, Hayato looked at his smartphone and picked up viewer comments.
Seeing the comment, Hayato’s expression changed.
“Ah. Regarding the man who’s been a topic of some discussion since yesterday… um, Morokoshi old man, I’ll just say one thing. That guy has already had his adventurer license revoked by the Japan Adventurer’s Association, so he’s just an ordinary civilian now. No matter what he does, it has nothing to do with the Association.”
Hayato let out a wry chuckle before answering the comments.
“Apparently, he made it to C-rank over twenty years ago and stayed there ever since. Well, in other words, you know how it is.”
For a while after that, Hayato and the group interacted with viewers, and when the Gigant Spider respawned, they headed into the boss room.
