Ggggggrrr

Even the massive stone altar could not withstand the strength of the two men who had learned martial arts. The stone altar slowly slid aside, and a hole appeared in the floor.

“That’s enough. Stop!”

Sohee made them stop.

“Is that enough?”

Gyeong Chun asked, sweating.

“Yes, you worked hard.”

At Sohee’s one word, Gyeong Chun and Gyeong Un felt as if all their exhaustion had vanished. As expected, a beauty’s praise gave strength.

But Sohee was not finished speaking.

“Now rest in peace.”

“Yes.”

The two sat down with a thud. But suddenly, a strange thought occurred to Gyeong Chun. It was that damned imagination again. It was an image of Sohee killing Gyeong Un and himself.

‘Why did I have to imagine something that unlucky? Ugh, useless bastard!’

Gyeong Chun thought that and glanced at Sohee’s face. But what was this? A single white line that had appeared in his imagination was passing through Gyeong Un’s neck and approaching his own.

“Thi……!”

Gyeong Chun tried to say something. But he could no longer tell the story he had made up.

Sohee looked down through the gaping hole and muttered.

“Could he really fall down there and still climb back up? Did I do something useless for no reason……? If so, I might be torn apart by the Mountain Lord’s hands.”

Sohee checked the movements outside and swept the corpses of the two men she had killed into the hole.

The two bodies fell far below. It was so deep that not even the sound of their bodies shattering could be heard.

That result disappointed Sohee even more. If someone had fallen from such a depth, not even Secret Shadow, or anyone else, could have survived.

“If Secret Shadow is dead, then there is no hope left.”

She sank down on the spot with a thud.

“But what was the sound I heard earlier? Could it have been the sound made by Secret Shadow’s ghost? Has his ghost, filled with resentment, appeared?”

Even though the hole had opened, there was no sign of anything, so Sohee abandoned the hope that Secret Shadow would climb back up alive.

“If we cannot stop that, the Central Plains martial world is finished……. But there is no way to deliver this news…….”

Sohee muttered regretfully. However, there was no strength in her words.

But then it happened. Someone’s figure appeared beside her.

“What news is that?”

Shock spread across Sohee’s face. The face of Secret Shadow, whom she had believed dead, was right there.

Neung Je-gang had climbed up the wall using Pungroe and his sword. He did not know how much time had passed. Having finally climbed all the way to the top, he realized that there was no longer any place where he could support his feet.

“What now?”

He could see a hole above his head, and beneath it, the underside of the stone altar that completely blocked it. He wondered whether he could hold his sword or Pungroe with one hand and use palm force with the other to break or push aside the stone altar.

However, if enemies heard the sound and rushed over, they would devise a way to stop him from escaping. So he had to destroy it in a single blow.

“If only I could support my feet, it would not be impossible…….”

Even after firing palm force, he had to avoid falling back down.

“Is there no way?”

Neung Je-gang pondered. Then something glinting caught his eye without thinking. It was a spiderweb.

“That’s it.”

Neung Je-gang took Heaven-Silk Fiber out of his robes. He tied the Heaven-Silk Fiber to the end of Pungroe. He drew his sword and drove it in about two cheok away from the Heaven-Silk Fiber. He brought the Heaven-Silk Fiber tied to Pungroe over to the sword and wound it around together with Pungroe. Though it was only about the width of a sword hilt, standing on it was not particularly difficult.

“Ohoho! It worked. Now I just have to break that stone altar and get out. Wait for me, Deung Gak, Byeon Bong, and Kunlun!”

Neung Je-gang drew up his internal energy. He looked forward to seeing just how much power the Heaven-Shattering Thunderbolt Sovereign, fired with all his might through his strengthened internal energy, would produce.

Ruuuuumble

He raised his hand. Now, if he stretched his hand above his head, the Heaven-Shattering Thunderbolt Sovereign would shoot out.

Ggggggrrr

But it was right at that moment. Though he had not yet released his palm force, the stone altar was moving on its own.

Neung Je-gang fell into a sense of futility. The brief time he had spent agonizing had been wasted effort.

As he stood blankly like that for a moment, something fell down through the hole. Then something shaped like a ball fell after it.

Neung Je-gang’s mind snapped awake. It was a human head.

‘Let’s get out before the stone altar closes again.’

Thinking about it, the current situation could be called lucky. It was no different from someone simply opening the door for him.

Neung Je-gang untied the Heaven-Silk Fiber. He used his sword and Pungroe again to approach the exit. Then he observed the movements outside.

‘That woman is……?’

He recognized that Sohee was above him. But why was it? From her, he felt the same feeling he had when he saw Hwangbo Chu. Was it because they were martial siblings? Their atmosphere was similar.

In the end, he was able to come out through the hole without making any presence known. In his heart, he wanted to kill Sohee. But he thought of Hwangbo Chu and held back.

For Hwangbo Chu’s sake, he decided to spare Sohee just this once. If he met her next time, he would truly kill her. In any case, for now, he had to repay her for moving the stone altar aside.

As he tried to slip out secretly, he heard Sohee’s lament.

“If we cannot stop that, the Central Plains martial world is finished……. But there is no way to deliver this news…….”

When Neung Je-gang heard it, the content sounded strange.

‘Could this woman possibly have different intentions from Deung Gak or Kunlun?’

Neung Je-gang could not easily believe it. Did Sohee not have a past record? There must have been no small number of people who had died because of her. In Beijing as well, how many people have died because of her?

“What news is that?”

In the end, Neung Je-gang could not simply leave. So he asked this to satisfy his curiosity.

“You, you ……?”

Sohee was so shocked that she could not say anything.
