She hurriedly called her father, then contacted a hacker to see if the files could be restored.

Immediately after, she called Qin Yun, told him the financial plan had been stolen, and asked if he had a backup.

After all, she had completely trusted Qin Yun with the encryption password for Qin Financial’s secured files.

Although Qin Yun’s health was poor, he was sharp—still only a junior in university yet capable of solving many of her thorny problems.

This was why she trusted Qin Yun wholeheartedly!

This younger brother was simply outstanding.

Except for his poor health, he had almost no faults—what sister could resist spoiling and protecting such a brother?

Qin Yun, who just had his IV removed, was also shocked. Then he seemed to realize something but hesitated to speak…

Qin Moyun, already a little flustered, encouraged him to speak up boldly.

Only then did Qin Yun stammer out, “Eldest Sister, if I tell you, please don’t take it out on Qin Jiang, okay?”

The moment Qin Yun said that, Qin Moyun exploded like gunpowder, “Qin Jiang! It’s that jerk Qin Jiang again?!!”

“Four years ago when Grandpa agreed to take him back into the Qin family he should have been grateful that we pulled him out of a life of hunger and poverty, but instead he’s treated it like revenge against us—every time something goes wrong, he’s involved!

“And now he even dares to stick his hand into the company?”

“When he stole Fourth Sister’s diamond necklace and was punished the last time, Dad should have had his leg broken! Then he wouldn’t be able to harm his family anymore…“

Qin Moyun was the noble and elegant CEO of the group.

As the eldest sister of the Qin family, she always disciplined her younger siblings strictly.

And Qin Jiang was the biggest problem among the siblings!

Having lost the confidential files, Qin Moyun felt a wave of immense pressure.

For a moment her nerves were stretched like a taut rubber band in her mind—if one side slipped, she would be doomed.

She held her forehead, feeling as if needles were pricking her head.

Qin Yun gently tried to mediate, “Eldest sister, maybe Qin Jiang just thought it was fun and wanted to play hide-and-seek with you.”

“Don’t worry… he surely has a backup USB. He’s been mad at me recently—I’ll go to school tomorrow to beg him and get him to think of the bigger picture and return the backup to us!”

Qin Moyun pressed her forehead in discomfort. Qin Yun’s words eased a heavy stone in her heart somewhat.

She then gratefully said, “Yun, you’re the most sensible and obedient in the family—you’re my confidante. Qin Jiang can’t measure up to you even by a toe!”

“However, Qin Jiang is used to being a scoundrel. I’m afraid he’ll bully you again, so I’ll assign my two most capable personal bodyguards to you.”

“If Qin Jiang stubbornly refuses to hand over the backup USB, let my guards teach this good-for-nothing brother a proper lesson for me…”

Qin Moyun carefully arranged the guards for Qin Yun, feeling secretly pleased and praising her younger brother for being sensible and reliable.

After hanging up the phone.

Qin Moyun’s neurasthenia flared up again, and it seemed to be getting worse.

She stayed composed enough to finish dialing emergency services, then called out for help.

“Someone! Help!”

The on-duty staff rushed into the office and hurriedly helped Qin Moyun to a sofa to sit down.

Qin Moyun felt as if her brain was about to shatter.

The staff moving before her eyes grew blurry, and she thought she vaguely recognized a familiar figure. She then snapped in a commanding tone, “Qin Jiang, quickly bring the calming essential oil and massage me… my head hurts terribly.”

Qin Moyun blurted the name out instinctively.

The next moment, she froze.

Qin Jiang?

This damned child had already moved out of the Qin house and declared he would never return.

But Qin Moyun knew him well.

This was nothing more than Qin Jiang’s way of grabbing the family’s attention and competing for affection with Qin Yun.

In a few days he’d come scurrying back home, seeking the family’s forgiveness.

He would pretend to be a good brother for a while, proactively caring for each sister.

She had to admit she had almost been fooled by Qin Jiang’s obedient face before.

When the time came, he would remember her neurasthenia condition.

He would even take time off each month to come to the company to help relieve her chronic neurasthenia.

If things were like before, he would be due to come see her in just a couple of days.

It wouldn’t be long before he returned and knelt before the whole family to confess his faults.

She was waiting to see what price he would have to pay to return home.

“Director Qin, who are you calling for?” Assistant Zhao, Qin Moyun’s right-hand man, asked puzzledly.

“Director Qin, are you all right?”

Qin Moyun pressed her forehead, realizing she had lost her composure. After a moment she said, “I’m fine. Go check my cabinet to see if there’s an unlabeled bottle of calming essential oil.”

Qin Moyun couldn’t spare any time to curse Qin Jiang now. Easing the pain was her priority.

Assistant Zhao promptly began searching and then held up an empty bottle to Qin Moyun and said, “Director Qin, there’s no calming essential oil in here.”

“It’s been empty for a long time…”

To prove he was telling the truth, Assistant Zhao even opened the cap and turned the bottle upside down to show her.

Sure enough, it was completely empty inside.

At that moment, for some reason Qin Moyun suddenly felt a surge of agitation and panic deep inside.

Empty for a long time!?

She blanked out for a moment again.

Her fingertips reflexively curled as if trying to grasp something…

It was as though there had been something in a corner she had never noticed, even deliberately ignored, and it had long since withered and died!

But Qin Moyun had no time to pay this thought any mind right now.
