Grail Went Wild

Grail slammed a gaze filled with killing intent into the handsome man.
“What the helllllll!? Who the hell are yoooooou!? If this doesn’t concern you, stay out of it!”
“It isn’t unrelated… I’m the party’s representative, after all. At the moment, they’re my companions. I can’t overlook this.”
“Tch!”
Grail shoved the scout away and turned toward the handsome man.
“If you’re going to get in my way, you’re ready for what comes next, right!?”
Grail was irritated. He felt like beating anyone at all to a pulp.
“Listen up. I’m a Swordsmanship skill user. If you’re a warrior too, you understand, don’t you? What it means to have the Swordsmanship skill? If you’re going to apologize, now’s your chance.”
While intimidating him, Grail’s chest danced with dark feelings.
The Swordsmanship skill—the destination point for a warrior. The thing many warriors admired.
Since he was teaming up with the scouts, this handsome man’s level should not be that different from Grail’s either. There was no way a Swordsmanship skill user would lose against a warrior in the same level range.
If he was a warrior, he would understand that. That was why other warriors had always been unable to defy Grail. That felt good to Grail.
(Hehehehe—you’re the same. Turn pale with fear. Tremble. Then get on your knees and say you’re sorry!)
However, the handsome man’s reaction was different from what Grail had expected.
“Do I need to apologize?”
He said such a thing with a relaxed expression.
Once again, Grail’s thoughts dyed red.
“Acting all composed! Hey, I’m serious. Fight me!”
“Good grief… what a hot-blooded guy…”
After smiling wryly, the handsome man responded lightly.
“I don’t mind.”
The fight was carried out according to the procedure of a duel.
A duel—it was not just a simple fight. It was carried out after bringing each other’s retrievers close and making a duel oath. By doing this, a record was left in the retrievers that it was a fight both parties had agreed to.
If they made a duel oath, even if they appealed to the guild over any losses that arose from it, the guild would never get involved.
A duel was that sort of procedure.
“I’m gonna beat you to a pulp—prepare yourself!”
Grail pulled the sword at his waist out with the sheath still attached. He really wanted to cut him to death, but Grail still had enough reason left to restrain himself from that.
“Hahaha, how very terrifying.”
The man also readied a sheathed sword.
At this point, Grail was already certain of his victory.
(There’s no way you can beat me, a Swordsmanship holder!)
I’ll settle this in an instant—
Grail fiercely attacked the man. He swung down at the man with the blow that had slaughtered countless monsters.
(Take this! This is the power of Attack Power +100 and a 20% increase to Attack Power!)
The man reacted and blocked that blow with his sword.
However, the difference in attack power could not be helped. Grail’s blow instantly knocked the man’s sword awa—
“Gihieeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?”
The one who screamed was Grail.
Unable to endure the intense pain transmitted through the sword, Grail tumbled pathetically and fell on his backside.
“W-W-What the hell is this…!?”
“Just as you have your proud Swordsmanship skill—I have a skill I’m proud of too.”
The handsome man pointed his sword at Grail.
White sparks crackled across its surface.
“Great Discharge is a rare skill, but—do you know it?”
A smile of certain victory appeared on the handsome man’s lips.
“…What the hell is Great Discharge? Kruaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
Grail stood up and slashed at the handsome man again.
But the instant that sword touched the handsome man’s sword—
“Ahieeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa!?”
Grail twisted his body in pain.
The instant he touched the opponent’s sword, intense pain burst through Grail’s sword.
As if he had been struck by lightning—
“Hahahaha! You should listen when people talk!”
The handsome man struck Grail’s staggering stomach once with his sheathed sword.
“Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?”
Grail let out a voice of agony.
Grail was a warrior too. He did not scream from a little pain. But something unexpected was different. The pain that pierced his stomach was not at the level of a blow from a sheath.
As if he had been struck by lightning—
“Y-You… what is this?”
“Oh? Have you finally decided to listen to people?”
The handsome man continued with a smirking smile.
“The skill Great Discharge. It’s the unique skill I have. As the name says, I send electric shocks into the things I touch. In other words, if you touch my sword, you take an electric shock.”
Electricity ran through metal. If Grail received the handsome man’s sword with his own sword, electricity would flow from sword to sword and strike Grail down.
In other words, Grail could not block the other man’s sword with his own sword—and on top of that, he could not allow the reverse either.
Even if the handsome man blocked Grail’s sword, the same result would occur.
“…What the hell is that—what the hell is that!”
“This is what a truly powerful skill is. Even if you boast about mere Swordsmanship, which anyone can get as long as they level up…”
The man sighed, then continued like this.
“Swordsmanship, lol.”
“K-K-K-K—”
Grail forced a voice out from the bottom of his stomach.
“Kruaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
Awakening his courage together with his rage, Grail challenged the handsome man.
The same result as before—
was not what Grail reached.
Grail had learned. The man’s sword was dangerous. If so, he just had to avoid that sword. He just had to fight while avoiding it.
I can do it!
If it’s me, an excellent warrior with Swordsmanship!
Grail’s concentration was sharpened. With meticulous care and precise footwork, he continued to dodge the man’s sword.
“Heh.”
The handsome man let out an impressed voice.
Grail was growing triumphant. The sense of omnipotence that had withdrawn a little started rising up again.
The handsome man opened his mouth.
“But what are you going to do? I don’t think you can win by continuing to run away like that.”
“Shut the hell up!”
Grail did not engage with it. In combat—when Grail seriously tried to win and became calm, he was unquestionably strong.
After continuing to avoid the man’s attacks, Grail finally found an opening.
I’ve been waiting for this moment!
Grail stepped in and swung his sheathed sword.
“Your defeat has just one cause! A simple answer!”
Together with the anger boiling at the bottom of his stomach, Grail shouted.
“You pissed me offffffff!”
It did not matter even through iron armor. He would overpower him with the attack power of a Swordsmanship holder!
The instant Grail’s blow that would smash everything landed—
“Hagyoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”
The one who screamed was Grail.
He collapsed with a scream and continued rolling across the floor.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
Grail could not understand.
(Why!? How!? I should have won!? It was my win!?)
As if to blow away Grail’s doubts, the handsome man’s loud laughter rang out.
“You really should listen properly. The target is anything I touch. It isn’t just my sword.”
The handsome man struck his own armor with a clang.
“My armor too. My armor is charged too.”
Then, in an elegant tone, he continued like this.
“In other words, you had no chance of winning from the very beginning.”
