As he opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar ceiling.

Swish.

He raised his body and looked around.

An unfamiliar room, kind of old but clean and well kept. It had all the necessity for one to live in but it wasn't very wide. It was a size where one person could move freely but would be narrow for two.

'Where am I?'

He didn't remember where this was or how he came here.

Or rather he didn't remember anything. He tried recalling his name but he didn't remember that either.

'What should I do now?'

He decided to look at his belongings to find a clue about himself. Maybe he even remembered something.

After looking around for quite a while, he organized his belongings before himself.

A sword, a set of clothes and a bag of money with an identity plaque in it.

He read the name on the plaque.

"Chun Woo-Moon"

It seem like he could read even if he didn't have any memory.

'Maybe I can do things that are ingrained in my mind and subconsciousness. Then what about the things I did with my body?'

Some may say that the mind and body are separate things, but in reality they are very related to each other. So, it was true that if it was something routine that either the body or mind remembered, then he could do it. But if it was something that he knew, but rarely used, for example, he knew how to cook but he didn't cook useless necessary, then neither mind nor body would remember it.

The problem was, he didn't know what he did before he lost his memory. As he was thinking of what to do, his eyes caught the sword.

"This should do."

He grabbed the sword, still in the sheath and started to swing it. At first it was crude, but as time passed, the swings started to become more refined. His body started to remember the sword as it moved on its own and performed the sword techniques. After a while, he started to remember the sword too, as he began to swing the sword of his own free will.

After an hour of training(experimenting), he decided to look at his surrounding to find a clue about his situation.

The first thing he saw after going out was a small yard and the fences around it. After looking further away, he saw a small village with some people walking here and there in it.

As he was looking around, a hunched old man with a hoe on his shoulder passing by, looked at him and exclaimed.

"Ahh, you're finally awake. The mayor wanted to see you. I'll guide you to his house. Are you alright? Can you come with me now?"

His eyes became round as he was surprised by the barrage of questions. He decided to don't answer and ask what he wanted to know.

"Who are you? Do you know me?"

The old man looked like he caught on to something and started to laugh out loud.

"AHAHAHA, sorry, sorry. Right, right. You would be surprised if a stranger suddenly barraged you with questions."

After laughing heartily for a while, the old man started talking.

"I'm Dan mu-sung, an elder of this village. You can just call me old man Dan."

"Alright, old man Dan. If possible can you please explain the situation to me as I...."

Chun Woo-Moon hesitated as he didn't know whether it would be okay to tell him about his amnesia. Old man Dan had said that they were strangers, so he decided to not tell him that he didn't have any memories, in case they took advantage of it and tried to deceive him.

After a short pause, he started talking again.

"As I'm quite confused?"

"Sure. Then, shall we go, young man? Oh, right. What's your name? I haven't heard it."

"I'm Chun Woo-Moon."

"Is that so? Then, I'll guide you to the mayor's house, young man Woo-Moon."

"alright."

Chun Woo-Moon thought that he need to come up with a background for himself before they reach the mayor's house, so it would be reasonable even if he asked a strange questions.

******

As he was drinking tea in his house, someone knocked on the door and entered the room he was in.

"Hey, sir mayor. I brought the young man as you asked."

He set his cup of tea down as he stared at the person who came in the room and the person behind him. He was a hunched old man in his sixties, but he became bewildered as he saw the person behind the old man.

A handsome young man with long, silky hair flowing down to his waist, eyes so bright and clear that it would reflect anything like a mirror, a fair face and white skin so beautiful any women would be jealous, broad shoulders and a fit, sculpted body that would put any men practicing martial arts to shame and a calm and oppressive presence like that of a deity detached from mundane world and uninterested in anything.

Truly, the god's work of art on earth!

He had seen him before, but at the time he was unconsciousness and dirty. So although he knew he was handsome, he didn't think he would be this handsome. But now that he wore a proper clothes and was clean, he was so beautiful that you wouldn't find anyone as beautiful among the men and women in the world. Even now, he was a little messy and the clothes was simple, so if he groomed and adorned himself what would happen?

As he was thinking this, someone pulled him out of his fantasy.

"Sir mayor, snap out of it. I know that he is otherworldly beautiful, but it's rude to stare at him without saying anything after you invited him."

"Oh, right. I'm sorry. He was so heavenly handsome that I forget about it. But you should give me some slack. You were the one who bathed him and took care of him these two days, so you have some tolerance, But I haven't seen him since the first encounter."

"Can we go to the main topic?"

Chun Woo-Moon interrupted them as he didn't understand what they were talking about.

"Ah, yes. Then I would like to introduce myself first. I'm Dan Hyun-Jong. This village's mayor and the niece of the person standing next to you. I invited you here to ask about how you came here, and what led you to come here?"

Chun Woo-Moon let out a sigh and started talking.

"First of all, I'm Chun Woo-Moon. As for my background, if possible I don't want to talk about it, as I have my own situation. Secondly, about how I got here... I don't know. When I came to, I was already here. I don't know how I came or what led me here. And that's exactly why I have come to ask you about it."

The mayor looked at Chun Woo-Moon's eyes. As time passed, he let out a quiet hum and started speaking.

"Hmm, it doesn't seem like you're lying. Very well. I shall tell you everything I know."

He took a sip of his tea and continued.

"Two days ago at around noon, a big earthquake shook the village and the area around it, along with the roar of a terrifying beast. We gathered everyone in the village at the village's hall and formed an investigation team with the fastest people in our village. After a while they returned saying they found a strange thing in the forest near the village but don't know what to do with it. And that's where we found you."

The mayor paused and looked at Chun Woo-Moon's reaction. He was calm. So calm you would think it has nothing to do with him.

'Such a strange man. Since he said he doesn't know what happened to him, shouldn't he show some reaction? Or at least be nervous?'

"After the report we went there to see what they found. Even now we don't know what it is. It was a round, metallic object around the size of a small house, but there was smoke raising from it and the ground around it had caved in. We tried to be cautious and slowly circled around it, and found you on the ground the other side of the object."

"You were covered in blood from top to bottom. We were so surprised that we all rushed to you without thinking. After examining you, it didn't seem as serious as we thought. But just in case, we called the doctor. He said that the blood on you was fresh and recent and that most of your injuries are internal and that's why we thought you were in better shape that expected. He said that your injuries are very serious."

"That's why I'm surprised that you're already up. The doctor said that you would be in bed for two to three weeks, but it's only been two days and not only are you already up, but you can even walk."

Chun Woo-Moon listened to the mayor and and old man Dan's story attentively. After organizing his thoughts, he started talking.

'I may find some clue there.'

"Can I go and see that object that you mentioned?"

"Well, I don't mind, but please be careful. I don't know what it is, but given the circumstances, I think it has fallen from the sky like a meteorite. But it's not a meteorite and we don't know what dangers it has. Again, please be cautious when you approach it."

"Okay. Thank you, mayor."

As he get up and tried to leave, someone stopped him.

"Wai! Can you please not go now?"

"Why?"

"First of all, you have only just woken up after being seriously injured. Please go to the doctor for examination first. If the doctor doesn't allow it and you're still injured, then I can't just let you go. Secondly, I have to find someone to guide you. Many of the people in the village are afraid of that thing and don't go near it. And he have to be someone who is fast and can judge the situation calmly if something were to occur. The same applies to you too. You have to be prepared."

"I got it. Then, shall we go a week later? Since I have to prepare and organize my thoughts too."

And this time, he left the house without looking back while old man Dan led him somewhere.
