What kind of position did Su Pingnan hold in the hearts of these two men? Their devotion to Su Pingnan in his previous life had proved it. Besides, Su Pingnan was now extremely generous and very attentive in his daily dealings. On top of that, his business kept growing, and his vision and methods made them utterly devoted to him.

Now some man from nowhere was sneering at their esteemed boss and brother—how could the two of them stand that? Their faces turned fierce at once. This electronics transaction could well turn into a bloodbath.

“Damn it!” Liu Han, someone who had risked his life at sea for wealth, immediately realized what was going on. His expression turned nasty as well as he also put his hand on the combat knife at his waist.

The Gao brothers had an especially nasty expression on their faces too. “Old Liu, us brothers have been doing so much to arrange this deal for you and you treat our guest like that? You think you’re really impressive, huh? Boss Hai better have a good explanation for us.”

The two of them knew Liu Han’s temper was actually aimed at them. This batch of goods wasn’t supposed to go through Tiandu since they didn’t understand electronics. It had only just become popular over in Japan and it was Boss Hai’s accidental find. But Old Liu thought that since he’d helped the Gao brothers before, the Gao brothers would definitely buy it off him. So he volunteered to take care of the goods and eagerly brought the motherboards to Tiandu.

Who knew that after arriving, the Gao brothers kept trying to weasel their way out of buying them and things were handled clumsily. After all, these goods were worth almost 800,000 bucks. The Gao brothers were grateful to the old man, but this wasn’t a deal they could agree to so easily.

Su Pingnan’s face was icy but he shook his head at the two men.

“It seems our friend here doesn’t want to sell the stuff to us, so there’s no point in talking.” Su Pingnan flicked away his cigarette, turned, opened the lead SUV’s front passenger door, and said to Wang Chenguang, “I’m hungry; find a place to eat.”

Su Pingnan spoke calmly, but everyone present clearly felt the chill behind his words. Nobody dared to fight with Su Pingnan around, since they wouldn’t want to hurt him. But if he left, the scene would surely become uncontrollable.

“Red Robe, what are you doing?”

The older Gao brother was really anxious. He glared fiercely at Liu Han and gripped Su Pingnan’s arm to hold him back. He vaguely knew about Su Pingnan’s business in Ertai Town. Next year it was said they’d heavily invest in road transport, and there would be no shortage of trucks needing modifications. Seeing a major client about to cut ties with him made him want to kill Liu Han.

Liu Han was frightened by the older Gao brother’s bloodshot stare. If the deal fell through, the older Gao brother would definitely make life hard for him. He was already unpopular in these circles because of his personality, so he could imagine he wouldn’t have a good time when he returned.

But Liu Han also knew what he had to do in order to survive. He immediately put away his fierce look and shouted, “Red Robe, I’m an old man, so it’s normal for me to act illogically. I’ll sell these at half price to you, Mr. Su—consider it making amends.”

Su Pingnan stopped, looked at the man who had softened, and with the same calm face said, “I’m not a petty man, the price stays the same. This time we’ll give Old Gao face—Teacher Zhang, inspect the goods.”

Guo Guangyao and the others looked at Su Pingnan’s expression and slowly retreated.

Teacher Zhang quickly finished the inspection and nodded. Su Pingnan lowered his voice and asked, “With the prototype and these parts, can we produce pirated copies?”

He had already changed his mind. Originally Su Pingnan planned to bring cheap game boards from Japan by sea, then assemble them himself to open nationwide distribution and usher in an arcade golden age. But Liu Han made him realize that dealing with these ruffians who were only loyal to money would become a problem someday, so he’d make this deal once, then cut ties. Once his pirated electronics company was established, he would tell this Boss Hai how all of this happened—what would happen to Liu Han afterwards? The result was obvious.

Su Pingnan smiled somewhat cruelly. A maritime kingpin would find out he had lost over a hundred million in profits because of one of his underlings. Liu Han would have to beg for mercy once that happened.

Having decided to have no further dealings, Su Pingnan was unceremonious. Seeing Teacher Zhang nod, he said coldly, “Pay them,” then got in the car without looking back and drove off.

Guo Guangyao grabbed a duffel from the trunk and threw it to the older Gao brother, then got into the car grouchily without even saying goodbye. The three cars soon disappeared from the Gao brothers’ and Liu Han’s sight.

The Gao brothers had no interest in entertaining this brute either. They counted the cash in the duffel bag and tossed it to Liu Han.

The younger Gao brother smiled falsely as he gnashed his teeth, “Old Liu, your visit has caused too much of a stir. Our place is too small to afford keeping you around, so, we’ll add another 200,000 as a send-off and thanks for your help over the years.”

Liu Han was bewildered. He stared at his henchmen carrying the duffel, and stamped his foot. He thought to himself: I’ve been too unlucky lately and now I’ve accidentally provoked a fierce man from Tiannan—better to head back early.

“Let’s go!”

He barked the words angrily at his henchmen and left without looking back. This guy had a big mouth—crude but straightforward—and secretly admired Su Pingnan’s generosity. Su Pingnan himself never expected that one clash would start to make his name somewhat known among the people eking out a living along the coast.

A company called Jinxiu Electronics was quickly founded, and Teacher Zhang brought a few skilled electronics students over to work overtime at the company.

Just as everything was running smoothly, Su Pingnan found himself missing that delicate girl.
