Siena was tied to a tree, and the men were trying to wake her up.

I didn’t know what was going on, but I had no intention of stepping in.

I just planned to ensure Siena didn’t die. It wasn’t my job to save her, that was something her prince should do, right?

The leader of the uninvited guests stepped forward and woke Siena up.

When she woke up, Siena immediately recognized the intruder.

“B-Baron Gerin…!”

A baron.

I hadn’t realized he was a noble because he had no dignity, but he was a baron?

He was completely different from the baron I met in prison.

Though, among dukes, there were those who were just as undignified.

Gerin approached Siena, grinning wickedly.

‘It must be Baron Gerin, this vile creature?’

Slap-!

Baron Gerin slapped Siena across the face.

My brow furrowed, but it was Greek’s responsibility to save her. If her life wasn’t in immediate danger, all I could do was watch.

I climbed up the tree and observed the situation closely.

By now, he must have heard from Elena.

“Did you really come all the way here?”

“Did you think I would just let you get away with what you’ve done?”

“Well, no, but…”

Siena’s voice began to tremble.

Baron Gerin laughed at her and drew a sword.

A sword.

This isn’t good.

“I don’t know what’s going on between you and that Greek bastard, but since you’re defending him, he’s finished! How dare he touch someone from another territory, he’s far out of line!”

“Wh-what are you saying? Baron Gerin! Greek… Lord Greek and I have nothing to do with each other!”

At first, Siena had called him just “Baron Gerin”, but now, her face pale, she shouted, calling him “Baron Gerin” with a sense of dread.

“What nonsense! I already made a formal request to Lord Greek to hand you over. But he refused to give up a criminal. Do you know how serious this is? Do you understand?!”

Slap-!

Another slap struck the opposite side of Siena’s face.

At this point, something felt off to me.

That discomfort.

It was something in Siena’s words.

It felt like she had regained her memory. Could it be that she left the mansion because she didn’t want to be a burden to Greek, now that she was connected to him?

If I think like that, everything that’s happening today makes sense.

Of course, this assumes that Siena still cares deeply for Greek, and that her memory has returned.

It seems like she remembers everything now.

“In order to cause more harm to him, it seems better to have you killed by an unknown group in his territory rather than having you executed alive. That’s the Count’s order, and you won’t just die without making trouble, you’ll die with all the consequences. You… Hehehe.”

“You! Please, please untie me right now! That can never, never happen!”

“You’re joking.”

Baron Gerin grabbed Siena’s hair and began pulling it around.

Siena was quietly tied up, but as soon as she heard that she could harm Greek, she started twisting her body violently. But the more she struggled, the more injuries she sustained.

And at that moment.

Baron Gerin, with an expression that said ‘This is enough’, drew his sword.

It was a dramatic moment.

Greek, if only he could appear at the dramatic moment, but things don’t always go that smoothly in the world.

Reluctantly, I was about to use magic to make it look like Gerin and his subordinates were struck by some mysterious force they didn’t understand, but before I could, Siena started shouting.

“Wait! Just a moment.”

“What do you mean ‘just a moment’? Shut up and die.”

“Please take me to Lord Greek.”

“Why should I do that?”

“Do you think I only stole the crest and seal?”

“What?”

At those words, Baron Gerin stopped his movements. He put the sword down and scowled as he roughly grabbed Siena’s chin.

“What are you hiding?”

“……”

Siena kept her mouth shut.

“If you take me there, I’ll tell you. Just know that it will be evidence of what you’ve done.”

“You little…”

Baron Gerin was about to slap her again. If it was evidence, I had collected it all that day.

So, there might be something guilty he’s hiding.

According to Baron Dink’s testimony in prison, it didn’t seem like she had stolen anything else.

Was it a trick to stay alive?

I heard she came up with a way to steal the relief supplies on the spot.

I snapped my fingers.

Baron Gerin and his men, who were near Siena, were all knocked to the ground by a powerful wind.

“Aaaack!”

“Wh-what was that?!”

When the wind stopped, they barely got up. The reason for this was to prevent Greek from seeing this, especially the sight of Gerin hitting Siena.

If Greek saw it, he would kill Baron Gerin without hesitation.

It wouldn’t be good to let someone who could potentially tie up Count Lutyian with evidence die so easily, so I was trying to tamp Greek’s unnecessary anger.

Of course, the reason for my actions was because I noticed Greek’s soldiers coming madly from a distance.

There was nothing more to see.

I got up from the tree. This was something Greek should handle.

This was the first time in his life that Greek had run this aggressively. After learning that Siena was missing, he had turned Greek Castle upside down like a farmer threshing grain and had people search the city. Upon hearing from Elena, Greek gathered all the available forces and headed toward the forest immediately.

And for some reason, he shouted loudly at Baron Gerin and his group, who were standing awkwardly.

“Stop right now!”

Soldiers wearing the Greek family crest on their uniforms swiftly took control of the forest, surrounding Baron Gerin and his knights.

Greek stood at the front, drawing his sword.

“Baron Gerin! What do you think you’re doing in someone else’s territory?”

Kch…”

“Make that bastard kneel in front of me right now!”

“Yes, My Lord!”

A multitude of soldiers shouted in unison, and immediately, Baron Gerin and his knights were forced to kneel to the ground, feeling the coldness of the sword’s tip at their throats.

“You bastard, how dare you touch Siena!”

Thud-!

Greek kicked Baron Gerin with all his strength. Gerin rolled across the ground.

Thud, thud-!

“Die, you bastard, die!”

Greek, unable to contain his rage, continued to kick Baron Gerin.

“If you kill me, a war with the Lutyian family will break out. Lord Greek… Cough, cough, enough! Enough!”

Baron Gerin, who was being kicked relentlessly, curled up on the ground. At the mention of war, Siena, startled, shouted at Greek.

“Stop! Oppa! No, no war!”

“It’s fine. I will use him as a way to punish Count Lutyian. Guards! Imprison these bastards immediately!”

As Greek shouted, the soldiers moved in perfect unison.

Once the remnants of the group were dealt with, Greek ran to the tree and untied the rope binding Siena.

“L-Lord Greek.”

“Did you just call me oppa?”

“Wh-what?”

Siena looked at Greek, confused as to what he meant by that.

Siena realized that Greek had refused Lutyian’s request. She knew that to protect her, Greek had already crossed a line that couldn’t be crossed. She had decided that she would rather return to the Lutyian family and not cause trouble for Greek. Pretending not to have regained her memory, she tried to maintain her composure.

Unintentionally, in the heat of the moment, calling Greek “oppa” was a fatal mistake.

“I-I don’t know what you mean, Lord Greek…”

“Siena.”

“Yes.”

“Don’t lie. You definitely said oppa. Your memory has returned, right? Right? Siena!”

Greek asked with a desperate expression. His look almost made Siena answer ‘Yes’, but she held herself back and shook her head.

“No, that’s not it.”

“It’s been strange. From when you kept asking me to remember your name. The word ‘keep’. And ‘oppa’. And you were even trying to run away to avoid causing trouble!”

Greek shouted once more. Siena couldn’t say anything and hesitated.

For a moment, she didn’t know how to react.

She wanted to admit it.

But if she admitted it, she would ruin the happiness of the man who had come running for her, drenched in sweat.

She didn’t want that.

“Listen, Siena.”

Seeing her hesitation, Greek shouted again.

“It’s okay.”

“What? What do you mean?”

“Do you know? You supported me when I was struggling the most. Because of that, even in the toughest times, I always thought about how to make Greek City a better place. A good lord, a good city… It was all because of you. Because you were there, I wanted to be a good lord! Do you know how happy I am that you’re alive? I’d sell my soul just to get you back! And Siena…you’re mistaken about something!”

Siena’s throat tightened. It felt like the tears were about to fall at any moment.

She didn’t have that much worth.

The person she had always liked since childhood, the one who made her happy just by being near him, was now saying he would sell his soul for her.

Siena, confused, barely managed to hold onto her rationality and asked again.

“What do you mean?”

“Do I still look like the old me? The weak lord from before?”

Siena lowered her head deeply.

Her heart was pounding uncontrollably.

“I’ve changed. I became strong for you. My mentor helped me a lot, which is why I grew. Now I can protect you. No matter what sins you’ve committed, I’ll protect you. Besides, you didn’t commit any sins! You just did what was right. I defeated Count Dedran and took control of Dedran City. It’s the same with Count Lutyian. I can defeat him too! So no matter what happens, don’t leave my side!”

Greek pulled Siena into a tight embrace.

At that moment, Siena couldn’t think of anything. All she could do was cry.

Her mind went blank, and she unconsciously whispered “Oppa”, as if acknowledging that her memories had returned.

Wrapped in Greek’s arms, she continued to cry.
