“Udadadada! Yap!”
Screeeech!
The black-haired woman ran wildly then stopped. She stopped in front of Elena’s clinic.
“This is it, right? Took me a while to find it after so long. So, how are the silly older sisters doing?”
Muttering to herself, she entered the clinic.
“Welcome!”
Entering the clinic, she was a guest to Elena. Naturally, Elena showed a gentle, kind smile and gestured.
“Come in. Where does it hurt?”
“My heart hurts.”
“Your heart? What kind of hurt?”
Elena was momentarily confused since it was the first time she heard someone say their heart hurts during her clinic work.
“My heart just hurts. Why is this world so bright?”
“Pardon?”
What sort of nonsense was that? Elena didn’t know what to say and just opened her mouth.
Actually, Elena was a bit startled when she entered because this woman wore sunglasses, hiding her eyes.
“Uh, those are sunglasses on your eyes, right? Oh! Do you know Mr. El?”
“Hehehe. Yes! I know him well. Better than anyone else, though I have one rival.”
“Huh?”
What was that about? Elena touched her chin unconsciously, confused.
Well, if you know El, you’d understand the sunglasses.
Because Elena herself had those sunglasses.
Once, when going to the Elf village to help, she shared these sunglasses to cover the eyes of Sereina and Rurin who came along. Elena didn’t need them but boldly asked to join in. That courage was enormous.
Now she can boldly say she wants to do everything together, but back then she always kneeled before dragons.
Those sunglasses are still kept carefully in Elena’s treasure box.
“But I like that sister. She took care of me a lot when I was little.”
“Huh? I don’t understand what you’re saying. When did we meet?”
Elena frowned.
Well, Elena was a long-lived elf. So it wasn’t a problem that a human she helped as a child grew this big.
Besides, it’s harder to recognize someone who’s grown.
“Yes. We’ve met! By the way, sister?”
“Yes?”
“Why do elves have such good hair? It’s so soft. If I envy elves for something, it’s their hair. Mine splits easily! It’s unfair! Ugh!”
Then she puffed out her cheeks.
‘I think I’ve seen that cheek-puffing somewhere.’
Elena thought so.
Maybe because of that, the stranger who touched her hair so intimately didn’t cause any strong discomfort, surprisingly.
“What? Who are you to dare touch my beloved hair? That’s mine.”
Then Sereina, stretching as she came out, glared at the woman like catching someone cheating.
“Beloved? No, I’m not involved in this!”
Elena shouted in confusion.
“Yeah, yeah. Everyone says that at first.”
Sereina said that, then came behind Elena and put her hand on her head.
“This hair is mine. Only I can touch it.”
“That’s not true. She allowed me too! Personally!”
“Me?”
She had no memory of that. She didn’t even remember giving Sereina permission.
“What? You suddenly appear and claim ownership over someone else’s property?”
“Hehehe, because it’s mine?”
She even made a ‘V’ sign with her fingers.
“Well, I keep saying it, but I’m not either of yours.”
Elena quietly confessed the truth in between.
“But.”
Sereina, still behind Elena, lowered her voice and glared at the woman again.
“Who the hell are you?”
“Me?”
“So who else is here?”
“Um, who it is is a secret! But.”
“…Elena, get up. Go behind me.”
“Yeah?”
Sereina seriously helped Elena up.
“You’ve been shooting dragon spears since before, but she hasn’t moved and her behavior is suspicious. She’s not a surviving Red Dragon coming for revenge…right?”
“Ugh? That’s mean! Don’t compare me to that! And the spear! I’ve already been hit by that. Look. Ugh, dizzy!”
The woman suddenly feigned collapsing weakly.
“Sis! Save me! Something’s covering my whole body!”
She reached toward Elena. Her clumsy act left Sereina and Elena staring at each other in disbelief.
“For some reason, no mana is felt, but that’s definitely a dragon.”
Sereina declared with certainty.
“Well, judging by the black hair, she’s not a Red Dragon. So she must be a follower of the Black Dragon. The sunglasses are probably because Elena, as an elf who can identify polymorphed dragons at a glance, knows that.”
“Ugh?”
The woman looked struck again, stopped the act, and stood up abruptly.
Then she took off her sunglasses.
“Tada! How’s that? Am I a dragon?”
But soon she changed her expression and started laughing again, making a ‘V’ sign.
“Well, um…”
Elena stared intently at the woman, but soon tilted her head.
“Am I right?”
Sereina asked with complete confidence, but Elena shook her head.
“It’s strange. This is the first time. I don’t know.”
“You don’t know because I’m human. Um, then how about this?”
The woman cleared her throat and spoke again in a higher tone.
“I am hu-man. How’s that? I didn’t lie, did I?”
Elf eyes detect lies. When the woman said that, Elena nodded. At least by her reading, the woman wasn’t lying. She was telling the truth.
“That seems right. It’s not a lie. Strange, but definitely the truth.”
“What? That’s nonsense. Are you broken? There’s a saying: When you fall in love, you lose sense.”
“Aaah! Why did you say that now? What if someone hears this!”
Elena’s ears reddened as she got flustered and waved her hands.
“If that’s not the case, a mere human couldn’t withstand my spear like that.”
“Red sister, that’s not it.”
“What’s not it?”
“There’s also a human on the hill who can calmly withstand that spear. An incredible person. So incredible that further explanation is impossible!”
The woman smiled showing her gums, bent her waist, and touched the ground.
“Ugh, my flexibility has worsened lately. Ah, anyway, from here!”
Then she jumped and raised her hands to the sky.
“I’m so incredible it includes the heavens and universe!”
The woman expressed her greatness with her whole body.
Then Elena said to Sereina with a face as if she’d just remembered something.
“Oh, now that I think about it, she seems to know Mr. El. And she seemed to have gotten those sunglasses from Mr. El.”
“But there can’t be another human like El. The more I hear, the more suspicious it is.”
Sereina said that and cast a 10th-class spell.
Space control magic.
If she keeps denying, she has to find out by force.
By that magic, the clinic was transported into a vast interspace.
“I made a barrier because it would get noisy if they fought in the village. So let’s see. Dragon or human.”
Sereina shouted and suddenly unleashed a 9th-class spell, the Red Dragon’s specialty, the Flame Blade.
Whooooshhh!
A blooming lava flower.
The flames gathered and flew toward the woman across the space.
“Oh really! Well, it’s good to protect Elena from danger. But actually, unlike Mom, I don’t dislike her!”
“What?”
Sereina couldn’t make sense of what the woman was saying at all.
“Your mother knows me?”
“Ugh. Another slip of the tongue. That’s also a secret!”
And at that moment.
The massive flames were all destroyed with a flick of the woman’s finger.
Sereina has the power to overwhelm almost all existing Black Dragons. Originally, Red Dragons are slightly bigger and stronger one-on-one than Black Dragons.
Except for Rurin, who is an exception.
To anyone except Rurin and El, unless attacked by multiple foes like before, she was confident in one-on-one combat.
“Let me say just one thing.”
The woman suddenly looked serious and stared at Sereina. The surroundings began to shine with a holy light.
“Lady Sereina, Red Dragon. King of all dragons. Stop baring those attack teeth in front of dragons.”
The moment the woman said that.
From her hand, the golden emblem of the Dragon Lord began to shine.
“And this type of barrier, this kind of interspace. It’s boring.”
Boooooom!
With that word, the space created by Sereina was destroyed.
The shattered interspace.
“Where did you two go? Ms. Sereina, you didn’t fight, did you?”
Elena, dazed, bombarded Sereina with questions.
“……”
But Sereina froze, unable to say a word.
Currently, the position of Dragon Lord is vacant.
If a new Dragon Lord was appointed, all dragons would know. So it was impossible that Sereina didn’t know.
But that emblem was real.
No words came out at all.
“Ah, it’s a secret! You mustn’t tell anyone! Even if you notice, you can’t say a word. It’s the Dragon Lord’s order.”
Saying that, the woman started smiling widely again.
“Huh? What are you two doing?”
At that moment.
Rurin, carrying a basket and passing by the clinic, saw Sereina’s face and began laughing.
“Red one, why the sour face? Well, it suits you though. Hehehe.”
Seeing that laugh, Sereina looked even more surprised and glanced between Rurin and the woman.
“You, you…you don’t mean….”
“Ugh, I, I’ll be going now….”
Moreover, when Rurin appeared, the woman who was confidently smiling suddenly broke into a cold sweat and spun around.
“What are you? Hm?”
“Yap!”
Then she took off. She used teleportation. Using teleportation itself proved she was a dragon.
“Strange. When I looked into her eyes, she definitely wasn’t a dragon.”
“Well, she is human, half of her anyway.”
Sereina muttered with a realization on her face. She had her suspicions once the interspace broke.
And when Rurin and the woman stood side by side, suspicion turned to certainty.
It made sense because they looked so similar.
That “hehe” laugh from the start was really irritating.
“Rurin, among El’s specialty magics, there’s dimensional travel, right?”
“That’s right. I can’t use it either. It’s a magic that splits dimensions.”
“He wouldn’t have not taught that to his daughter. Especially if she inherited his power.”
“Huh?”
Rurin tilted her head.
“But dimensional travel is literally just travel between dimensions. More than that isn’t possible. Are you saying she twisted dimensional magic to travel through time?”
Sereina scratched her head with a face full of disbelief.
