Lady Seremees smiled with satisfaction when she heard my reply, but her smile quickly faded and she rested her hand on her chin with a troubled expression.

“The problem is the number of days until the monsters overflow. Ant Hell is a very large dungeon with thirty floors in total. Each floor spans several kilometers. Even for you, Luca, reaching the deepest level in two days would be impossible. Even if I guide you, it would take three days.”

So Ant Hell was really that huge. I had entered only the first floor once before, but I remembered being surprised by how enormous it was even there. If there were thirty floors like that, it really was unbelievable.

“What should we do then? …That means the monsters will overflow for about a day, right?”

“Yes… it might be better to rely on the help of others here. For example, early tomorrow morning you could go to Ant Hell and report to the Adventurer Guild that there are signs of a Stampede. After that, have them prepare for the Stampede before you enter the dungeon. The later you start entering the dungeon, the longer the monsters will overflow, but it should still be better than a Stampede beginning without any preparation, don’t you think?”

That was true… without prior preparation, in the worst case the city could be filled with monsters within a few hours. In that case, even if the release time of the monsters became slightly longer, it would be better to warn them about the signs of a Stampede beforehand.

“I agree with Lady Seremees’s opinion. So the plan would be to inform the Guild about the Stampede tomorrow morning, have them prepare during the afternoon, and I will enter the dungeon by evening.”

“That would be the most ideal course.”

“Understood. …However, if I manage to destroy the Dungeon Core, the dungeon entrance will disappear and I’ll appear there, right? Wouldn’t that attract a huge amount of attention?”

Entering a dungeon during a Stampede and destroying the Dungeon Core… that would cause an uproar no matter how strong someone was.

“That can’t be helped. …Didn’t you want to raise your Adventurer rank, Luca? This will be the perfect achievement.”

“It would certainly be an achievement… but wouldn’t people find out that I’m a divine servant?”

“Not necessarily. The possibility that someone is a divine servant rarely even enters the minds of ordinary people. Since people already believe you became stronger after your curse was lifted, they will probably just be surprised that your strength exceeded their expectations.”

That made sense… if someone had solved a Stampede before I met Lady Seremees, I would have simply admired how strong they were. I would never have suspected they were a divine servant.

“Would the other gods find out?”

“…The God of Earth would certainly notice. But since you will fight the servant of the God of Earth when destroying the Dungeon Core, there’s no point worrying about that. As for the other gods… they probably won’t notice. Unless they happen to be in this city and witness the incident up close.”

If that was the case… then there was no need to worry too much.

In this world, beneath the Creator God there were ten gods in total, and throughout the world there could be no more than ten divine servants. Even if this was the Royal Capital, it was unlikely that several divine servants would be gathered in this city.

And even among those ten divine servants, not all of them would necessarily be dangerous to me. …It might be better to know which ones I should be especially wary of.

“Lady Seremees, I understand that I must be cautious of the servant of the God of Destruction, but how many other divine servants should I be wary of?”

Lady Seremees thought about my question for a moment before slowly speaking.

“The most concerning would be the God of Death. After that, the Goddess of Love may sometimes become an enemy of the Goddess of Peace. As for the gods of the sky, sea, sun, and moon, they rarely get involved. The servant of the Goddess of Life might actually be someone you could get along with.”

The Goddess of Love becoming an enemy sometimes… that was quite shocking. The Goddess of Love had many followers in this country, and there were numerous churches dedicated to her.

“However, this is not absolute. Don’t worry about it too much. You should judge for yourself whether the person in front of you is an ally or an enemy.”

“That’s true… I understand. Thank you for telling me.”

“You’re welcome. Now then, returning to the topic, I’m counting on you to eliminate the Stampede.”

“Yes. I will do everything I can. For now, I’ll rest today to prepare for tomorrow.”

I gripped the sword in my hand tightly, resolved to save this city no matter what, and returned to the inn. Even though I couldn’t feel sleepy at all due to the tension of what was about to happen, I forced myself into bed to rest.
