“So you mean telling him that we are divine servants. Hmm, can that Ernesto really be trusted?”

When Lady Milora asked Ann with a furrowed brow, Ann shook her head in response.

“I don’t know if he can be trusted. However, I do believe he isn’t someone who was born evil, and that he does possess a sense of justice. Even so, in this case I think the issue isn’t trust, but rather how many people will discover who we really are. We should act in a way that minimizes that as much as possible.”

“So… revealing to Ernesto that we’re divine servants would reduce the chance of that fact spreading compared to fighting Caesar without telling him, right?”

Ann’s reasoning did make sense. For example, if we failed to separate Caesar without telling Ernesto our identities, the worst-case scenario would be fighting Caesar in front of many people.

If that happened, both Caesar and we would be exposed as divine servants to a large crowd. And even worse, many people could end up dragged into the battle.

In that case, it would be better to reveal it only to Ernesto and have him skillfully guide Caesar to a place where no one else was around.

“I also agree with Henriette’s opinion. Ernesto seems trustworthy for now… and more importantly, even if Ernesto alone tells others that the two of you are divine servants, very few people would believe him. If it reduces the chance of many people witnessing it, then there’s nothing to hesitate about.”

Everyone agreed with Lady Seremees’s opinion, and it was decided that they would rely on Ernesto to separate Caesar on the day of the coup. They planned to secretly tell Ernesto about us later at our base.

“Then that settles how we’ll separate Caesar. Next is how we’re going to defeat him. First of all, it’s fine for the three of us to fight him, right?”

Rebecca’s gaze—clearly saying don’t leave me out—pierced into my face, and I nodded with a wry smile.

“Yeah, the three of us will somehow defeat Caesar. The real issue is the special ability possessed by the God of Destruction’s servant.”

“Lady Milora, Lady Seremees, do you know what kind of ability it is?”

“Of course. The servant of the God of Destruction possesses an ability called Dragonification.”

Lady Seremees clenched her fist and spoke with a stern expression, a crease forming between her brows. As if continuing from her words, Lady Milora added an explanation.

“You know dragons, the monsters said to be at the level of natural disasters, right? He can transform parts of his body into those dragons. So you should assume his physical abilities become unbelievably high. However, if he doesn’t release the Dragonification within about five minutes, the transformation can no longer be undone, and he gradually loses his reason until he finally becomes a complete dragon.”

“That’s why five minutes is the key. If we endure for five minutes, the Dragonification will end, and that’s when the real fight begins.”

So it was an ability with a five-minute limit… Being able to turn parts of his body into a dragon sounded terrifying. I couldn’t fully imagine just how powerful that would be, but for now I had to assume the worst.

“For five minutes, we should focus entirely on defense. We can defeat him after the Dragonification ends.”

“That makes sense. Lady Seremees, how long does he need to rest before he can use Dragonification again?”

“If I remember correctly, about an hour.”

That meant Dragonification could only be used once in a single battle.

“Understood. Luca, Ann, let’s do our best.”

“Yeah, we’ll definitely win.”

“Let’s give it our all.”

As we encouraged each other in preparation for the day of the coup, Lady Seremees looked at Rebecca and Ann with a serious expression.

“There is something I think the two of you should know… Caesar might be the very person who destroyed Luca’s hometown village.”

At Lady Seremees’s words, Rebecca showed a pained expression, while Ann widened her eyes in shock. I had never told Ann about my past…

“Luca’s hometown… was destroyed?”

“Yeah, it was suddenly wiped out by a curse. But there were no traces of monsters with curses anywhere in the village, so it’s been called a mysterious incident. But now that we know Caesar can freely control curses… it’s possible he was involved in the destruction of my hometown.”

When I said that, Rebecca clenched her fists with tears in her eyes.

“If that’s true, then Caesar is unforgivable…”

“Yeah, it’s unforgivable. Absolutely unforgivable… but I’ll try my best not to let anger make me lose control.”

“That’s exactly what I wanted to ask. If Luca starts to lose himself in rage, I want the two of you to stop him.”

At Lady Seremees’s request, Rebecca and Ann nodded with serious expressions. I would also try to control my emotions as much as possible.

With that, all discussion about Caesar came to an end, and after deciding when to inform Ernesto, we returned from the Divine Domain to the mortal world.
