One day, about half a month after Seyi and the others departed from the village.
The S-rank adventurer Phylite, who had been tracking them, staggered as she finally cleared the Demon Tower.
“Phylite-san! Are you safe!”
Bols, her lover, and the other adventurers who had accompanied her were waiting at the entrance of the tower.
Bols embraced Phylite. She looked utterly exhausted. After all, it had taken two weeks to clear it.
“Good work. So, did you find any clues?”
“Yes, Bols… this place was the tower of the Saintess’s master…”
“Master?”
“I heard it from the maid at the top floor… she trained her sacred techniques here…”
Phylite told Bols and the others about what she experienced in the tower. Inside were complex traps and powerful monsters wandering about.
There had been terrifying traps set everywhere—just hearing about them made Bols and the others tremble.
“I was told the Saintess cleared this tower in just a few seconds!”
“Whoa!”
“Amazing!”
“Something Phylite-sama took two weeks to overcome in seconds!?”
The evaluation of Seyi skyrocketed yet again. In reality, Seyi had simply used a teleportation portal and never triggered any traps at all.
But from their perspective, she effortlessly passed a place so dangerous even an S-rank adventurer struggled with.
“But seriously, why did the Saintess come here?”
“Isn’t it obvious, Bols? Just look at how tall the tower is.”
“Nope, no idea.”
“The Saintess gazed down upon the world from a high place, lamented the suffering of this darkness-shrouded world, and offered prayers…!”
Phylite fantasized on her own. Bols knew that wasn’t the case, but when it came to Seyi this lover of his became stubborn and uselessly devoted.
If he objected here, she would probably get furious, so he ignored it entirely.
“So where did the Saintess head next?”
“It seems she continued south.”
“Then she probably went straight to the Elf Nation Anemosgive. Let’s go.”
Leading the group of adventurers, Bols and the others left the tower. As they walked…
“W-what the heck is that?”
A magnificent village—no.
A fortress city came into view.
An incredibly splendid outer wall stood alone in the wasteland, absurdly out of place.
They decided to stop by the city for supplies.
“A-amazing…”
“What a magnificent fortress city…”
It was far too grand and orderly to be a remote settlement. Paved roads and neatly aligned buildings filled the area.
The people living there were lively, and development was progressing at tremendous speed.
Bols asked a nearby resident.
He learned that just days ago it had been a village nearly destroyed by Sandworms.
“You rebuilt it this much in only half a month? How in the world?”
The townspeople proudly guided them to a certain place—the fountain park in the city center.
“Wha!? Isn’t that the girl!?”
“Wonderful… not a goddess statue, but a Saintess statue!”
Before the gigantic statue of the Saintess carved from minerals, Phylite’s eyes sparkled while Bols sighed in disbelief.
To build something like this… they must be extremely grateful to Seyi.
“This former village was destined to perish from Sandworm damage. Then the Saintess arrived with her companions and granted us healing free of charge.”
In reality it had only been an experiment with newly made potions, but only Seyi knew that.
They continued praising her achievements—healing villagers, reviving the dead, restoring the town.
“S-she did that much… incredible…”
“Yes, and free of charge! We even tried to offer the mining rights to our mithril mine as compensation…”
“What!? Mithril!? You can mine something that valuable here!?”
“Yes. In this Stampede land, there are many mithril mines.”
“Seriously… why would she refuse mining rights…?”
Phylite shook her head in exasperation.
Bols also sighed, thinking here we go again.
“The Saintess’s charity is unconditional love. Money is unnecessary. Ahh… wonderful♡ To accomplish such feats and ask nothing in return… truly unconditional love!”
In truth, she had just left because staying longer meant more troublesome requests—nothing to do with love at all.
She had also departed before even hearing about the mining rights.
“And she encouraged us before leaving… after receiving her sacred power, we recovered completely as you can see!”
“So you built this magnificent city yourselves.”
What Seyi gave them had been normal potions—but far higher quality than any ordinary alchemist could make.
Her potions activated their cells, awakening even their hidden potential. Everyone in the village blossomed in talent, successfully building this grand city.
“This city will operate as the [Saintess City], providing aid free of charge to those who visit the Stampede land!”
Meaning they now had the manpower to make it possible.
All of them had drunk Seyi’s fresh potions and had their potential raised to hero-level—true heroes.
“Wonderful… a Saintess Road and a Saintess City! To create something like this… the Saintess truly is amazing!”
Within Phylite, the evaluation of Saintess Seyi kept rising to heavenly heights.
