One morning some time after I began technical instruction at the magic tool artisan guild Gourmets of Venom.

I was standing in front of the guild’s workshop.

“Seyi-sama…! Are you really leaving!?”

All the workers of this workshop, including Terry-kun, were standing in front of me.

Even though some of them were off today, they gathered here early in the morning to see me off. Good kids…

“Yes. I finally received an order from the higher-ups to report in.”

The magic tool artisan guild Gourmets of Venom had its headquarters in the royal capital Giiv of the Elf Nation Anemosgive.

The director there had issued a summons to me, the on-site supervisor.

Well, if I took over a branch and did whatever I wanted this much, the higher-ups could not stay silent.

For me as well, in order to advance reforms for the entire guild, I was just thinking I would have to beat the higher-ups—ahem, persuade (physically) them.

But if I stormed the headquarters and rampaged immediately, knights would come and it would be troublesome. So I waited until they told me to come instead.

“Please Seyi-sama! Don’t go! There’s still a lot we haven’t learned from you!”

When Terry-kun pleaded like that, the employees began trying to stop me one after another.

“Please Seyi-sama!”

“Stay here forever!”

“We need you!”

“We beg you!”

Hmm, this was troubling… In the first place, I did not want to stay long. I wanted to travel freely.

The reason I came to the Elf Nation Anemosgive was to search for the family of one of my slaves, Zenith-chan.

That goal had not been achieved at all, and quite a lot of time had passed. Honestly I did not want to waste any more time…

Alright.

“Honestly, I’m disappointed in you all.”

“““!”””

“I believed I gave you enough knowledge and skill to stand on your own. And yet… what? Don’t go? You need me? That means my teaching was insufficient… is that what you’re saying?”

“N-no… that’s not what we meant…”

All the employees hurriedly shook their heads.

Yes, I knew that. I knew they did not mean that.

But here I deliberately pretended to be angry.

And I wanted to leave as if storming off…

“Seyi-sama… I’m sorry! I… was wrong!”

“That’s enough, people this incompetent—huh?”

H-huh? Terry-kun? I’m in the middle of my line? Why are you interrupting?

“Everyone, Seyi-sama is telling us this! ‘I have already given you sufficient knowledge and skill. You still don’t reach my level, but from here on manage with your own strength!’ She’s encouraging us with tough love, right!?”

“Eh, no…”

““““I see…!””””

“Eeeeh…”

I was just pretending to get angry so I could leave quickly because I didn’t want to stay…

The workers… were they all crying…!?

“Seyi-sama… deliberately acting cold to promote our growth!”

“N-no…”

“Believing we can become proper engineers like you, her whip of love!”

“I mean…”

“““Thank you, Seyi-sama…!”””

“Eeeeh…”

For some reason I was being thanked intensely…!

“Big sis is kind!”

“As expected, our lord possesses goddess-like compassion!”

Ah, even Daphne-chan and Toka-chan were influenced.

Only Zenith-chan had a ‘hang in there’ kind of face… thank you.

“Master. If we do not depart soon, we will not arrive before the designated time before noon. End of report.”

Cherge, the robot maid sitting at the driver’s seat, urged me.

“F-farewell…!”

It was all becoming troublesome, so I quickly boarded the dragon carriage.

Chi-chan the earth dragon began running.

“Seyi-sama!”

“Take care!”

“Goodbye!”

…Honestly, what a hassle.

Being on top really is troublesome.

This time I taught them by circumstance, but maybe I should stop teaching for a while.

Because parting becomes troublesome. Staying too long also stops the journey.

After that the dragon carriage headed toward the royal capital Giiv.

Just when I thought we would arrive soon.

“Big sis! A person is being attacked by monsters!”

Daphne-chan of the rabbit tribe suddenly said so. This child has good ears and can detect enemies in advance.

“That is terrible! My lord, we of course head to the scene!?”

“Eeeh… I’m tired so let’s avo—”

“Cherge-dono! Please switch with me in driving the carriage! Hyaaa! Chi-chan-dono!”

Toka-chan switched the carriage driving on her own.

Wait, why did she interrupt me trying to say avoid and rush into trouble!?

“It is inferred that in Toka-sama’s mind, Master has become the greatest saintess who helps the weak. End of report.”

W-well true… knowing about injured people and ignoring them would feel bad afterward… but still.

Before something like this happened and I helped so the journey would stay comfortable… but still!

I thought today at least I could avoid it after the tiring morning… well, fine…

“We can see them! Several wolf-type monsters… and that looks like a knight!”

I looked outside the window.

A knight in armor with a white mantle was fighting multiple monsters.

He seemed quite disadvantaged. The knight’s armor was stained with blood.

Sigh… can’t be helped. Cherge. Throw a Repellent Potion.”

Cherge took out a Repellent Potion I made from storage and accurately threw the bottle.

Immediately she took out a gun and shot the bottle midair.

When the contents scattered around, the monsters tucked their tails and fled.

“Toka-chan. Bring the carriage closer to him.”

“Understood! Treatment, yes! As expected, my lord is kind!”

If I left the injured person, Toka-chan would start giving me disappointed looks.

I disliked that, so… I helped.
