I, Seyi Falt, had been tasked by my master with heading down to the seafloor.

“Wow! This is amazing, Sui-chan! I can swim just like a little fish~!”

“……!!”

Thanks to the effect of the transformation potion I made, Daphne-chan had temporarily turned into a water spirit.

Since the lower half of her body had become that of a fish, she almost looked like a mermaid.

Though she still had rabbit ears too, so all the elements were getting a bit overcrowded.

“Heh heh heh.”

Cherge, swimming beside me, smiled smugly.

For the record, the robot could swim at quite a speed by firing jets from her feet.

“What?”

“Fufu… Master. Surely, even you can’t dominate everything with potions underwater.”

Haaah?

What was this robot going on about now? And why did she look so smug?

“This may be the sea, but of course monsters exist here. When we encounter them, isn’t it usually Master who solves things with some little potion trick…?”

“What, are you imitating me? Huh? You picking a fight?”

“However, potions cannot be used underwater. Their contents would dissolve into the water. Which means, this is where I come in.”

Ahaaan?

So that was it, was it? She wanted to complain because her chance to shine protecting her master had been stolen?

“Fuh… how naive, robo-maid. My strength may depend on potions, but I never once said I couldn’t fight underwater.”

“Oh? Then perhaps you’ll demonstrate that with that?”

A single shadowy fish shape came swimming toward us at tremendous speed…

“I-it’s a shark, no less~!”

“My, my, what a very big fishy.”

Daphne-chan and the others were panicking, but it was just an ordinary shark about three meters long.

There was nothing to be scared of.

“My lord! I shall handle it!”

“Ah, it’s fine, it’s fine. I’ll deal with it somehow.”

“…However, Seyi-sama, you cannot use potions underwater, can you?”

That was true. I couldn’t do my usual routine of making a potion, throwing it, and taking the enemy down.

“At times like this, ta-da! The [Exchange Communicator]!”

One of the treasures I found in that dungeon the other day.

It came as a pair of rings, and allowed the two wearers to exchange items between them.

I had Cherge hold the other ring (for some reason, she wore it on the ring finger of her left hand).

By combining Cherge’s storage function with this [Exchange Communicator], I could use the materials I had her store.

Various medicinal herbs appeared before my eyes.

By using seawater and combining it with the herbs…

“Paralysis Potion~!”

There was water everywhere, after all. I mixed the paralyzing component into just one part of the seawater.

As a result, the shark passed through it and the paralysis took effect.

And then it just floated there belly-up.

“…Seyi-sama truly is amazing. You’re strong no matter where you are.”

“Wahaha! There is no blind spot for this great Seyi Falt-sama, got that? Cherge-kun~?”

At that, Cherge placed a hand on the seafloor and bowed her head.

“…I thought, for once, I might be able to be of use to Master…”

W-what now… don’t go acting all modest like that.

You’re making it look like I’m the bad one here…

“Big sis, Cherge-san… looks so pitiful, yes she does.”

Daphne-chan and Sui-chan turned moist eyes toward me.

D-damn you, Cherge! You even got the slave girls on your side!

A-at this rate, I can’t just coldly refuse you!

“F-fine then… I’ll leave underwater combat to you. A water gun would probably take them down more easily anyway.”

“Phew~… honestly, honestly, Master really is hopeless without me after all.”

Once we got back on land, I decided I’d give her a good punch.
