Under the sea, I had… supposedly defeated that stupidly huge whale calling itself the evil god Triton, but…
“Master. The enemy’s life signs have not disappeared.”
The robo-maid Cherge said that while staring straight ahead without letting her guard down.
She was not the type to joke in a moment like this, so I guessed that meant the enemy was still alive.
“…! Seyi-sama! The chunks of flesh that were blown to pieces! They have started moving!”
The tissue fragments that I should have destroyed from the inside gradually began sticking back together.
Before long, it transformed back into a giant whale once more.
“So it has regeneration, huh? That does suit a boss, doesn’t it?”
“Fuhaha! You tiny ape! Did you really think you could kill me?! Do not get carried away, you lowly life-form!”
Whoooosh! Mana gathered in Triton’s mouth.
This was bad.
“Everyone, gather up…!”
At my command, the slave girls all gathered together. Nice!
I made a potion underwater.
“Diiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”
That whale blasted a highly compressed water laser from its mouth.
Minerals can be cut by water pressure. This attack was probably based on that principle.
I created one of my advanced potions, the Barrier Potion.
It deployed a special barrier that nullified attacks.
The water current crashed into the barrier.
Cracks spread across the barrier.
I created a second potion.
“Freeze Potion!”
It was a potion that instantly froze water.
It reacted with the water and froze Triton’s water stream.
His body froze solid with a gakiin! sound, but…
“Fuhahaha! That wooooon’t wooooork!”
The ice burst apart from the inside.
My, my, he was lively…
“Master. The cells destroyed by the extreme cold are regenerating.”
The robot reported the results of her scan of the enemy’s body.
He realized that we were probing for his weakness.
Since she could show such fine attention in moments like this, I really thought she should stop her usual annoying remarks and devote herself fully to being a maid.
“I see. That is some impressive regeneration.”
“O-onee-chan… what do we do…?”
Daphne-chan and Sui-chan looked at me with frightened expressions.
With a grin, I patted both of them on the head.
“It’s okaaay. I’ve already seen the bottom. And besides… I’ve finished the setup.”
“Do not prattle on, little girl!”
The giant whale came swimming toward us with a great roar.
“I shall stop it…!”
“No, it’s fine. …It’s already over.”
“What in the world did you…?”
That was when it happened.
DOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
Triton’s body exploded into tiny pieces.
Zenith-chan’s eyes widened.
“…Was that an Explosion Potion? But when did you put it inside the enemy’s body…?”
“No, I didn’t put it inside his body. I just… turned the seawater around him into a potion.”
The barrier, the freeze, and the whale’s own digestive enzymes.
By mixing those three together, I created a medicinal fluid that produced an even greater explosion.
“You know how they always say, ‘Do not mix, danger’? I wasn’t just making potions at random.”
Whales are fish. They take seawater into their bodies.
He took in the seawater that had turned into liquid explosives, and as a result, it exploded inside him.
Whether he regenerated or not did not matter.
As long as there was water around him, the explosions would keep chaining endlessly.
“G-gh…! B-but… I will not die!”
“You may not die, but it still hurts, doesn’t it?”
I smiled sweetly.
“I’ll keep making you go boom boom from the inside until you beg for mercy.”
“Master, you are a demon.”
“No, I’m an alchemist.”
“Oh, that line. It has been a while.”
Now then, how many more times would he have to die before he gave up…?
