◇Hiroto / Zeke
Hiroto’s possession target. Seventeen years old. A villain.
He sank into the depths of despair before a scenario he could not change, but he stood up once more because there were people who saw Zeke (Hiroto) as a single human being. After learning the truth about Fool and Noisy and coming into contact with their feelings, he decided to fulfill his responsibility as the last lord of Lagias. He does not say it out loud, but he is happy that he was able to reconcile with Luke. An unrewarded protagonist type.

◇Van Freak
Seventeen years old. Brown-haired. Main character. Inheritor of a Key.
The swordsman who served as the protagonist of the original Wish Soul. After losing Masfelt, who was his family, grandfather, and master, right before his eyes, he assumed from the situation that Zeke was the culprit. Now that the truth of the incident has come to light, he spends his days asking himself what he should do. If judged purely by talent with the sword alone, he is not inferior to Zeke or Luke.

◇Atri
Sixteen years old. White-haired. Main character. Inheritor of the Guide.
The heroine of the original work. Her combat style is that of a mage. She regretted that her existence had caused Zeke’s parents to become Watchmen and thought it could not be helped even if she were killed, but Zeke’s words saved her once more. Even though she had not known the truth, she resolved not to avert her eyes from the Guide and to face it directly. Her name in the original work was Mistraze.

◇Glanz Folt
Sixty-two years old. Long gray hair. Main character.
The kingdom’s highest-class mage, who guides Van and the others. When an unfortunate misunderstanding led him into battle with Zeke, he unfolded a high-level magic battle. The sheer number of options he had was truly worthy of being called the Sage. If viewed as an enemy, he was the person Zeke was most wary of. He is an old acquaintance of Sword Saint Masfelt and Baccus, the commander of the Royal Guard Corps.

◇Ciel Astera
Eighteen years old. Silver-haired. Main character. Inheritor of a Key.
A sacred arts user from the Astera Ducal House, known as the Silver Saintess. Ciel’s sacred arts possess top-class ability, capable of erasing even pain, which is said to be their only flaw. Because of her goddess-like appearance, she is often proposed to. However, every proposal has been shot down.

◇Selen Bloom
Eighteen years old. Blue-haired. Main character.
A magic-gun user who serves as Ciel’s bodyguard. Because of her appearance and the fact that she uses the rare weapon known as a magic gun, she is recognized as a foreigner, but almost no one knows that she was once a noble lady of the Kingdom of Anishing. She is plotting to surround him from the outside.

◇Eris Lark
A promising young adventurer active in the royal capital. She had been cooperating to complete Van’s request, but in the end, she chose to help Zeke. It had been a long time since she had failed a request. Though it was only for a short time, the escape journey while nursing Zeke remains an unforgettable memory. She does not resemble her father, Stork, very much.

◇Hares Wilder
A man who serves as a regimental commander in the Knight Order. He feels a sense of danger toward Zeke and Lagias, but he does not possess the simplistic way of thinking that Lagias must be evil simply because it is Lagias. He dislikes Eltia, a fellow regimental commander.

◇Eltia Rosecircle
A female knight who became a regimental commander in the Knight Order at the youngest age. She persistently pursued Zeke after he was placed on the wanted list, but her goal was to take him in as her subordinate and reform the Knight Order. Before Luke enlisted, Eltia held the record for youngest knight.

◇Brink Hartmann
Luke’s father, a regimental commander, and a handsome middle-aged man. He had doubts about Zeke being wanted, but conversely, he used this opportunity to coordinate with Stork behind the scenes in order to sweep away the dangerous elements. In the original work, his life had been taken by Zeke’s father, Fool.

◇Stork Lark
The kingdom’s shield, serving as acting vice commander of the Knight Order. He is effectively the head of the regimental commanders. When he received information that his daughter Eris was acting together with the wanted Zeke, he worried about her but did not intend to blame her. In the original work, he died during the battle against Rovinz while protecting Fonsell (Luke).

◇Kratz Line
A male soldier from Wartel, the capital of the Republic of Ignote. Two years ago, Zeke saved his hometown. This time, he had come to the Kingdom of Diabalet partly for travel when he encountered the incident of Zeke being placed on the wanted list. Because of what had happened in Wartel, he had expected Zeke and the Yaksha (Selen) to be on good terms, but he was completely wrong.

◇Selsia
A female knight belonging to Eltia’s unit. She has an extremely serious personality, but also has an innocent side.

◇Garbera
A female knight directly under Eltia. She has a flashy appearance, but her sense of chastity is strong. She is bad at dealing with Luke.

◇Luke Hartmann
Seventeen years old. Blond-haired. Main character. Inheritor of a Key.
A genius knight who enlisted in the Knight Order at the youngest age and became a platoon leader at the youngest age. In order to make Zeke, who refused to tell everything, speak the truth, he challenged him to battle alone. From the outside, it may have looked like they were evenly matched, but in reality, he understood that Zeke had been holding back. After learning the truth of Lagias, he decided to throw everything away and walk alongside Zeke. His name in the original work was Fonsell.

◇Skinny
A knight belonging to Luke’s platoon. He has a blunt personality, but at heart he is a kind older-brother type. He is a survivor of the clan known as Shupilad, which uses necromancy. He showed Luke and the others the path.

◇Nahal
A mage belonging to Luke’s platoon. He has a serious personality, but he is not merely rigid, and at times he can make flexible judgments. He is a promising talent. After parting from Luke and the others, he returned to the royal capital.

◇Markus
A man belonging to the Mage Corps. He discovered Zeke and the others fleeing at a checkpoint, but judged that there was nothing abnormal and let them go. He remembered Eris, with whom he had had contact during the attack on the royal capital.

◇Keat
A man belonging to the Knight Order. He had decided in advance with Markus that if they found Zeke, they would let him go. He dislikes Eltia and calls her a vixen.

◇Simon Titan
A man who serves as captain of the Lagias private army. Information that Zeke had been placed on the wanted list under suspicion of murdering the Sword Saint reached his ears immediately, but he did not believe even one millimeter of it. Thanks to a bracelet-type magic tool granted to him by Zeke, he can become a giant, and its destructive power is tremendous. The time limit is not three minutes.

◇Yorn Grin
His unserious attitude stands out, but he is actually a regimental commander in the Mage Corps. In this chapter, he rushed over to help Eris and the others when they fell into danger. He was originally Glanz’s subordinate and is a first-rate mage into whom Glanz drilled many spells. The image of teleportation magic being associated with Glanz is strong, but Yorn himself can also use it. Eltia hates him like poison.

◇Dex
One of the tallest characters in the work. As someone compatible with the factor of a spirit (god), he stood in the way of the protagonists in the original work. The powers they wield each have their own nature, and Dex possesses power reminiscent of annihilation, such as destruction and decay.

◇Pariaach
An inhuman being. By transferring his soul into a temporary body, he becomes close to immortal. He looks like a small child, but his true identity is the only spirit (god) left in this world. In the character popularity poll, he fought with Zeke and the Lagias couple for last place.

◇Feluart
A young man proud of his blazing red hair. He cooperates with Elzen and the others in order to take revenge on Lagias. When he was pretending to be an adventurer, he used a sword, but his preferred weapons are gauntlets. He is from the Lagias Domain.

◇Elzen Freak
Van’s father and the former Sword Saint candidate who served as the final boss of Wish Soul. After the incident of the Sword Saint’s murder, the Freak Trading Company disappeared from the public stage. After a certain event, he met the sealed spirit (god) and came to know the truth of the world. He is the strongest swordsman of the modern age.

◇Baccus Abriate
A highly skilled commander who leads the Royal Guard Corps. He is also the oldest active veteran soldier. He is a warrior who fights by easily swinging a greatsword as large as himself. He is also a refined user of lightning magic and once instructed his subordinate Aaron. He was an old acquaintance of Masfelt and also his best friend.

◇Rosetta
A woman belonging to the Royal Guard Corps. Her strong-willed personality stands out, but she is meticulous in her work. She is a little interested in Zeke.

◇Cherlan
A female royal guard. She is an all-rounder who is active in the elite-filled Royal Guard Corps. She is close friends with Rosetta and Veil.

◇Veil
A woman of the Royal Guard Corps who is good at magic. Her concern is that she is a little timid and weak-willed. Her hobby is reading.

◇Arnica von Diabalet
The third princess, who holds a high position in the line of succession. Before the crisis in Samaris, Zeke proposed a certain deal to her, and she accepted it. After teleporting to the Lagias Domain, she returned to the royal capital once in order to carry out Zeke’s deal. Her heart aches because the contents are far too favorable to Arnica’s side to be called a deal.

◇Aaron Izosaar
A nobleman with top-class ability in the Royal Guard Corps. He is also a member of the intelligence agency who skillfully manipulates lightning magic and rapier techniques. In the fourth chapter, he contacted Van and the others while pretending to be an ally, then showed off a splendid betrayal. The reason he did not appear in the original work despite having ability on par with the main characters is unknown. Perhaps his personality was simply too strong. Amore!

◇Aktor Astera
The next head of the Astera Ducal House, meaning he is a duke. Ciel’s half-brother. Ciel often becomes the topic of conversation when it comes to sacred arts, but Aktor’s ability is also considerable. On top of that, he can fight too, making him an overpowered character. In one way or another, he has taken a liking to Zeke, and the fact that he is secretly plotting to pair him with Ciel in the future is classified information.

◇Masfelt Freak
The deceased Sword Saint. The strongest swordsman who colored an era. He appeared in the present world once more through the necromancy left behind by Shupilad, but his will alone resided in the sword he entrusted to Zeke. In the original work, Masfelt never reappeared. He is not a Sunday person.

◇Tret
Elzen’s childhood friend and an old hand of the Freak Trading Company. He had long known through Elzen that Atri was the Guide. Like Elzen, his swordsmanship is first-rate, and he handles a wide variety of techniques. He was blown away by Noisy after she became a Watchman, but returned unharmed. Just who is Harla…?

◇Fool Lagias
Zeke’s father and the lord of the Lagias Domain. Outwardly, he lived without knowing the role of the Watchman, but in truth, he recognized it in his heart. After inheriting the Watchman, his words and actions were restricted, forcing him to play the role of an atrocious tyrant. When he learned that Zeke had been placed on the wanted list, he was truly worried, but he could not do anything. In the end, he was struck down by Zeke and died.

◇Noisy Lagias
Zeke’s mother and Fool’s wife. As Fool’s fiancée, she had sworn together with him to change Lagias, but she could not resist the curse known as the covenant. She had been searching for Zeke’s fiancée in order to select the next Watchman, but the matter never settled easily. This was because Noisy was resisting so that no more unfortunate people would be born. She died just as she did in the original work.

◇Lagias and the Watchman
The truth about the Lagias who inherited the Watchman was never told in the original work. Even the successive generations of Lagias did not really understand why those who inherited the Watchman became tyrants and had their words and actions restricted. Fool’s guess was that perhaps the first Lagias had held the belief that those who inherited the role of the Watchman “must be hated by the world.”
