Moving straight ahead, Gina defeated a single Kobold Fighter, and we reached the third floor.
There was nothing there except for a large oval-shaped plaza, where two Kobold Archers and two Kobold Fighters were stationed.
It was out of range for Wind Shot.
“Gina, please take care of the archers.”
What about the Kobold Fighters, you ask?
Considering their behavioral patterns, we could manage them somehow.
Hearing my instructions, Gina lunged at the Kobold Archers with the speed of a sudden squall, instantly sending both of their heads flying.
One of the Kobold Fighters charged straight at me, while the other headed toward Gina.Just as I expected.
Kobolds were certainly smarter than goblins, but they weren’t smart enough to ignore a formidable enemy who had just slaughtered their allies and prioritize taking out the frail spellcaster first.
Though, seeing as both of them ended up targeting Gina instead, perhaps I could assume some individuals among them possessed higher intelligence than goblins.
“Wind Shot.”
Since the battle had started with some distance between us, naturally, I had the advantage as the spellcaster.
I slammed a wind magic spell into the approaching Kobold, taking it down in a single hit.Yeah, this was a huge milestone for me.
It proved that as long as I controlled the situation, I could take down a Kobold one-on-one.
“Brilliant work.”
Gina praised me as she returned after collecting the dropped items.
“Only two arrows, though.”
She said with a hint of dissatisfaction, but since drop rates weren’t 100%, it couldn’t be helped.
Well, the Kobolds weren’t dropping the specific items we wanted anyway.
And with that, we reached the fourth floor.
I had expected a boss to be waiting, as was typical, but it seemed this dungeon didn’t have one.
…A miscalculation in the best possible way had occurred.
If you cleared the dungeon at level 5 or below, you were supposed to receive the special title “Time Attacker” and the skill “Preco,” right?
Preco was a skill that increased acquired experience points by 1.1 times—a particularly welcome ability for me in the early game.
I had previously written it off as unrealistic for someone playing as Rasta and tried not to think about it, but even after advancing through the fourth floor, we didn’t encounter any enemies and finally reached the innermost room.
The innermost room only contained a magic circle glowing with a white light; stepping onto it would transport us right back to the dungeon entrance.
And it would officially record that we had conquered the dungeon all the way to the deepest part.
In a beginner dungeon, it might not hold all that much significance, but if it meant getting a title and a skill, it was definitely worth doing.
“Let’s go.”
I called out to Gina, who had been quietly waiting for my instructions, and together we stepped onto the magic circle.
In the next instant, the two of us were whisked away outside the dungeon.
