The Tycoon Wolf, its core destroyed, fell toward the ground.
The massive body hit with a quake and, this time for certain, stopped moving completely.
“We… won…?”
The remaining Wood Golems came to a halt.
Aira looked toward me.
Nadja raised her fist high over her head in a triumphant pose.
Only then did my heart finally catch up with the reality that until now had felt strangely unreal.
I see… we really did win.
Aira and Nadja approached.
Before I knew it, the three of us were wrapped in a tight embrace.
The enemy had been truly formidable. Nadja alone could not have defeated it.
I stalled for time, Aira locked its movements, and Nadja unleashed her full-power strike—only then were we able to defeat that monster.
I checked my remaining points.
Only 54 points left.
But honestly, who cared?
I could just earn more points later.
“Well now, I feel like I just watched a fine performance.”
While we were sharing our victory, Wheel-san walked over.
A “performance,” huh…
Well, I guessed that was how a Divine Beast would see it.
We were actually pretty desperate, you know…
“It… it was amazing…”
The noble-lady guinea pig girl looked up at us with sparkling eyes, her tiny hands clasped together.
Cute… I almost used my Harvest Bag on reflex just to give her a treat.
—Ah, right.
“Could you tell me your name?”
“M-My name?”
I nodded firmly.
I’d been curious for a long time.
And this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
“Rebecca… My name is Rebecca.”
“I see, that’s a lovely name.”
“Th-Thank you…”
The noble-lady guinea pig—Rebecca—lowered her face for some reason.
As I wondered why and moved closer—ow!?
A sharp pain hit me from both sides of my ribs!
“Woody-sama… have you started charming Divine Beasts now…?”
“I really didn’t see this one coming… I never imagined Woody’s strike zone was this wide… even though I’m the fiancée… mumble mumble…”
As I tried soothing the suddenly grumpy Aira and Nadja, Wheel-san began sniffing the ground intensely.
Then he marched over to the area where the Tycoon Wolf had been sleeping earlier, nodded, and stood tall like a champion.
“Good… we can make a Sanctuary around here! I wanna finish this quick, so could ya call the villagers?”
It felt like the ending fizzled out a bit awkwardly, but—well, whatever.
In any case, with this, all preparations were finally complete.
Alright, now… we could create a Sanctuary!
