Queen Auriel’s Era, Year 3010,
Kingdom of Auriel, on the outskirts of the capital Auriel, at the manor of Duke Lycoris.
“Young Master, breakfast has been prepared for you: a refreshing cup of Kali coffee, a cheese-and-bacon omelette, doughnuts and mushroom soup, and fruit salad after the meal.”
A familiar voice reached his ear, followed by footsteps moving from beside him to the window.
The heavy, sun-blocking sky-blue curtains were drawn aside, the hanging golden tassels brushing the floor, and bright, intense sunlight fell on the person who had opened the curtains.
The person wore a maid’s outfit, with long, pointed ears; her sexy, beautiful brown skin and silvery-white long hair gleamed under the sun.
By rights this race should fear the sun, but this Dark Elf maid was completely different.
“Understood……..”
Her lightly curled eyelashes trembled, her eyes engaged in an intense struggle…..
Naiye, still in bed, lazily gazed at the graceful, enchanting figure at the window, yet remained listless from last night’s late study.
“Mm~ ah…..”
Bored and languid, he gave a soft yawn. The very young duke slowly rose; the fluffy, soft duvet slid off his pale skin, his naked body tinged with a thin wash of golden light,
“Young Master Naiye, please mind your manners.”
A pure black, over-the-knee dress, a white lace apron, and pristine stockings wrapped her legs, outlining long, rounded curves.
Naiye’s personal maid, Cassia, stepped forward with elegant poise; her alluring, delicate features came into view, her purple irises deep and strange, her long ears twitching lively—every bit the charm of a dark elf.
“Tomorrow you return to the Auriel Knight Academy; you can’t stay up late researching like last night anymore, even if you are Duke Lycoris who leads magical technology.”
“Oh.”
He responded with a murmur; Naiye’s gaze was dreamy, completely unmoved.
He still hadn’t fully opened his eyes, sat on the bedside, watching Cassia raise her slender arm while he quietly waited.
Cassia’s ears twitched again; though she still forced a blank expression at the scene before her,
Cassia retrieved the prepared white shirt, the jet-black double-breasted jacket and straight trousers, leaned in and dressed the young master.
She tugged at the cuffs and hems, fingertips lightly touching, inch by inch caressing his soft white skin, as smooth as the precious silks of eastern lands.
“Sometimes it’s really troublesome….”
An arrogant yet languid voice sounded at her ear; Cassia slightly lifted her head,
a pair of beautiful, icy eyes looked down at her; their crimson pupils like red spider lilies stained with dew,
“There’s no one here, you don’t have to be so strict, right?”
“This is the rule, Young Master.”
Answering Naiye calmly, the Dark Elf maid rose and, button by button, carefully fastened her master’s shirt, then smoothed out the creases in his clothes.
“This is the rule I follow as a maid caring for the Young Master.”
“What rule?”
Propping himself up with his hands, the young master of the house slowly lifted his leg, letting the maid handle it.
“…………”
Saying nothing, Cassia knelt on one knee,
held Naiye’s delicate, graceful white foot, her fingertips idly playing with and kneading the rounded, exquisite toes, her heart filled with a strange satisfaction.
“When I began serving you I swore an oath: in this life I will always serve you.”
“How long is ‘always’?”
“Longer than forever!”
Unlike her earlier silence, this sentence came from Cassia with firm, unquestioning resolve.
“I’m asking you, not the oath.”
The dark elf’s ears twitched again, but Cassia still kept her head bowed, diligently helping the young master of the house into his shoes, a faint blush appearing on her brown-skinned face.
“I will uphold the oath sworn with my soul; my life will never break that vow.”
Having finished her answer, it was as if she had said nothing, though the young master of the house already knew.
The earlier exchange was merely teasing this dark elf who always restrained herself before him.
The last piece was dark-blue finely woven trousers; Cassia gently helped this overly noble young master of the house into them, pausing at his knees.
Naiye stood up with a calm expression; it was time to properly reward the maid who served him.
Cassia’s tall, seductive body pressed against him, intentionally or not; her hands wrapped around his waist and hips, beginning to caress with delicate care.
That slightly heavy breath brushed his black hair.
Sometimes one had to admit—
Dark elves truly are creatures loyal to desire.
A smile tugged at the young master of the house’s lips; although it wasn’t the first time, when he was sober Cassia wouldn’t dare act out of turn.
“Finished touching?”
That familiar, crisp voice, with a slight teasing, rang in her ear.
Cassia froze for a moment, finally stopping her hands, her smooth, beautiful brown skin beginning to heat up.
Almost…….
Clearing his throat, the maid intended to step back, but was gently captured by a pair of strong arms around her neck and hooked at the waist,
“Although I can give it to you, you can’t act recklessly.”
Cassia looked into those familiar yet always so clear eyes, quietly and gently gazing up at him.
Her heart began to race.
“But you must take good care of me, because I am………”
“Naiye Lycoris, this rare male knight in the queen-ruled kingdom of female knights! Also the rising great noble who, a century ago, developed magical technology that propelled the kingdom’s development and social foundations! He was willing to engage with other races, accepted my master, traded and interacted with other peoples! And he developed the epoch-making high-tech ‘Magical Automaton’—a supremely gifted Young Master of the House!”
After beginning with praise, Cassia took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm the tumultuous emotions within.
‘Almost……. I almost fell for the Young Master’s trap again.’
Although she enjoyed it, she truly wanted to take the initiative once, not be teased step by step by the young master of the house.
‘So……. I absolutely mustn’t fall for the Young Master’s ways!’
Heh, Naiye looked at his Dark Elf maid with a half-smile.
Teasing a maid who pretends to be serious is indeed great fun.
And it was the second time.
Still, the words Cassia had just said were indeed pleasing to this young master.
After the early-morning commotion, the young master of the house Naiye was considerably more awake.
Master and maid set off down the ornately decorated corridor toward the hall for breakfast.
“The Academy… I didn’t expect I’d go back again; I clearly graduated long ago.”
“Young Master, the Auriel Knight Academy allows ten years to graduate—when did you graduate?”
“I entered in the first year at fifteen, then graduated early at sixteen—otherwise how could I be the young master of the house?”
Naiye and his Dark Elf maid walked and conversed as they always did.
At this time the young master was at his most clear-headed and relaxed, which always put the Dark Elf maid who’d served him for years at ease.
Although this young master of the house was the most indulgent when it came to pleasure, one had to admit Cassia preferred this very reliable side of him.
They stopped by the window.
They watched four knight-guards patrolling outside, their armor bearing the emblem of Queen Auriel.
“They arrived yesterday, offering to serve as the knight-guards for House Lycoris free of charge.”
“Hm… they really have everything prepared; just waiting for my return to the Academy tomorrow.”
The fourth guard among the three patrolling knights wasn’t a knight at all, but a large, imposing Magical Automaton mech.
It moved stiffly and properly; then when its master looked over it stopped, turned toward Naiye inside the window, and its huge sky-blue magical eyes bowed in salute to the young master of the house.
The three knights ahead also noticed, and with even more formal ceremony knelt on one knee to salute Naiye.
—It looked pretty good, and these female knights were very proper.
Young Master Naiye casually waved his hand, telling them not to be so formal.
He was hungry—first fill his stomach, then deal with everything else.
