Young Master Naiye looked out the window and found that Ice Tina and Eir’s fight was unexpectedly intense!
Thud! Thud! Bang!
The shockwaves from this battle were fiercer than the others! And they were holding back.
Otherwise, the disturbances the two caused would have been even greater than when Flame Lance Knight Manaen and Dark Knight Weiluxika dueled.
“Why are they fighting with such relish?”
Even so, Young Master Naiye calmly watched the two female knights fight.
They were consciously holding back, so there was no need to worry too much.
As for why they were fighting, Naiye could only guess that they didn’t get along; this wasn’t their first fight.
But the puzzling thing was that even if Silver Knight Eir blocked Ice Tina, it still shouldn’t have escalated into a direct brawl like this, right?
Moreover, Ice Tina was relatively rational; not having found Naiye now, she should have come back later to find Young Master Naiye.
Or—were the two extremely incompatible with each other?
Young Master Naiye continued to observe the two female knights’ fight.
One wore armor, her ice-blue ponytail neatly secured, still wearing the cap that signified the head of discipline.
Tall and slender, with a cold and fierce gaze, she looked like someone who would mercilessly hack you with a sword.
She was surrounded by a beautiful yet lethal winter aura, exuding a literal aloof chilliness—terrifying like a queen of winter.
The other female knight wore no armor, only a dress; heavy armor would have been a burden to her. Her smooth long hair danced, neatly flowing down her back even in battle.
She was equally tall, but compared to the other, fuller and more muscular.
Beneath that fleshy body lay tremendous power—a single punch could shatter glaciers, making most knights reluctant to meet her attack.
Young Master Naiye simply watched in silence.
He wasn’t focused on the fight so much as on the two icy beauties.
One was the cold female knight—the head of discipline herself—breaking rules and fighting someone.
The other ignored rules, fought others without reporting to Young Master Naiye.
For some reason the two female knights had gotten heated and started brawling in Young Master Naiye’s courtyard, making a huge mess.
And it seemed they’d been fighting for some time—was it really such a fierce, evenly matched dispute?
But Naiye, long accustomed to the fighting culture at the knight academy, simply enjoyed watching the two women fight.
Sometimes two women fighting could indeed be a spectacle, especially when they couldn’t afford to go all out.
No—wait!
Hold on, what are they doing now?
Ice Tina’s ice sword dissipated, and sharper frost began to form on her body.
Eir was more exaggerated: she set down her silver blade, clenched her right hand and began to charge power, and Naiye seemed to glimpse a dragon’s claw?
Even Young Master Naiye now felt two opposing forces beginning to coalesce!
They began to stop holding back!
The two female knights in the courtyard glared at each other.
Then they both started to gather their power simultaneously!
Ice Tina began to clench her fist; visible frost gathered around her hand.
Forming a solid, massive, and razor-sharp ice fist!
The extreme cold began to converge in the fist.
Eir glared at her with her head lowered, took her stance, and began to charge.
Her right hand rested at her waist as she poured dragon force through her body.
For a moment, her right hand seemed to turn into a dragon’s claw covered in silver scales.
Fist against claw, the two formidable forces stood in complete opposition.
The courtyard seemed to split into two different scenes.
The plants around Eir shook violently, tossed by fierce winds and momentum; some that couldn’t hold on were flying about in the air.
The flowers and grasses beneath Ice Tina were the exact opposite—motionless, frozen solid by terrifying cold!
They had all become dreadful ice sculptures!
The once sunny, peaceful courtyard had been ruined by the two fearsome female knights!
Yet they paid no attention to that, their gazes fixed on each other without the slightest opening.
Finally, the two moved!
A fist and a claw attacked at the same time!
At the moment of collision!
“Hey! You two idiots! What are you doing?!”
Young Master Naiye finally appeared!
“Naiye!”
“…!!”
The two normally aloof, restrained female knights both jolted in their hearts and hastily stopped at the same time.
“You’ve ruined my court—!”
Although they stopped, the attack still erupted at close range!
It formed a small circle right beneath their feet.
Then, everything inside that little circle was destroyed!
Including the plants, even Eir’s apron, and even the cup Naiye had left here long ago and that had since gone cold.
Frozen in an instant, shattered in an instant.
But what terrified them most was an ice shard.
Right before their eyes, an ice shard shot out.
It sliced toward Young Master Naiye, who was standing under the doorway!!
“Naiye!”
“Watch out!”
Whoosh!
“………….”
Young Master Naiye calmly watched the ice shard skim past his ear.
It seemed to have grazed Naiye’s delicate, pale cheek, leaving a slight mark.
“………………”
“………………”
‘I almost let Naiye get hurt!’
‘I almost failed to protect the Young Master!’
The two stared at Naiye in shock, their bodies completely frozen, at a loss.
Young Master Naiye, however, remained unusually calm; he wiped the mark from his face and smudged it away.
His gaze glanced aside toward his courtyard.
The courtyard of the Naiye estate had originally been planted with flowers and plants; ordinary, but comfortable and peaceful.
But now it has been ruined by the two……..
In fact, Young Master Naiye had another mechanical guardian who could have stopped them—the Magical Automaton knight he had brought back from home.
But he had shut it down long ago; Naiye had planned to retrofit it.
Now he somewhat regretted having powered it down………
When Young Master Naiye’s gaze returned again.
The two female knights bowed their heads, faces full of guilt and apology.
Like children who had done wrong, but what the two knights had done was no small child’s misdeed.
What was startling was that Young Master Naiye was already accustomed to this; such fights were actually the norm at the Auriel Knight Academy.
But both had just let loose! They had both broken the rules!
Especially since one of them was the head of discipline!
“What’s going on? Why did you start fighting?”
Of course Naiye would punish the female knights, but he needed to clarify the matter first.
Ice Tina was the first to raise her head.
“I came to see Young Master Naiye about official business regarding Train Station No. 1 and was blocked by Eir of the Dragon Knight family!”
Okay, that statement from Ice Tina was clear enough; Naiye immediately understood what was happening.
The two definitely had a grudge; otherwise they wouldn’t have started fighting, let alone be so hostile.
Eir was about to speak when Young Master Naiye walked over.
“I know, but Eir is no longer the Silver Dragon Knight of the Dragon Knights; she no longer goes by Eir Dragonborn—she is now Eir Lycoris! She is my Silver Knight.”
“What! She was the former Dragon Knight commander! She left two years ago—how is it that now she reappears as your knight? Have you really formed an alliance with the Dragon Knights?!”
Ice Tina was surprised and furious, her hand involuntarily clenching into a fist.
The person she disliked was now standing beside someone she favored.
But she hadn’t expected Naiye to have actually allied with the Dragon Knights!
And Naiye had indeed admitted it.
“That’s right, but Eir is different—she was abandoned, like a family sacrifice, offered to Lycoris, and thus has become my Silver Knight.”
That statement was indeed not false.
“…………….”
Ice Tina’s face nearly darkened; she felt both disgust and heartbreak toward Eir.
Although she disliked Eir, it was only dislike, not hatred.
Her heartbreak was because Eir had once been the Dragon Knight commander, yet her family had abandoned her just like that?
No wonder that brat became the new commander; everyone was very puzzled.
Although Eren was young, his bloodline power was very strong, and Eir had disappeared at that time!
But what puzzled her more now was why Young Master Naiye would ally with the Dragon Knights?
Did the Dragon Knights want to win Naiye over to conquer the Academy? That was everyone’s fear.
“So what is Duke Naiye Lycoris allying with the Dragon Knights for? To seize the Knight King position together, to obtain Queen Auriel’s blessing and favor?”
“Of course not, it’s just a regular alliance—something left by my grandfather and father, unrelated to the Academy.”
“The proof is that Eren has shown no movement recently; I’ve also been working these past few days.”
“……………”
Faced with Ice Tina’s earnest questioning, Naiye’s answer wasn’t particularly strong—ordinary, but a complete explanation.
Because the fact was reality: the Dragon Knights had shown no activity, remaining as quiet as ever, which made observant people find it strange.
Young Master Naiye was also very calm; as he said, Ice Tina knew Naiye had been working inside with no sign of movement……….
In the end, Ice Tina had to accept the fact; there was nothing she could do to intervene.
“Alright, now that that’s settled, it’s time for punishment.”
When Young Master Naiye said it, the two aloof yet clumsy female knights finally remembered the wrecked courtyard around them.
“Eir, you’re punished: clean up the courtyard and you’re not allowed to leave! Stay here alone to reflect.”
“………….”
A simple, ordinary punishment—after all, Naiye could decide severity at will; this was just a light penalty.
But Eir looked very dejected and guilty; she painfully lowered her head, hiding her face.
In any case, she had fought Ice Tina over personal matters—that was her punishment.
Next was Ice Tina.
“Head of Discipline! Go to the Student Council later to accept punishment yourself. For now, we’ll handle the official business.”
“Yes! I’m very sorry for causing you such damage; please accept my apology.”
Young Master Naiye nodded, accepting the sincere apology.
Ice Tina even stuck out her bottom and bowed deeply.
Finally, Eir bowed her head and watched the two leave.
After they left, the entire estate fell silent…..
Facing the wrecked courtyard, Eir stood alone in the middle.
Because of the silence, the damage, the chaos, the mess.
Eir was all alone.
This made her feel a wave of emptiness and loneliness…….
Eir picked up a small trinket, her arm trembling, barely steadying it.
‘Have I been abandoned again?’
Eir’s inner pain and fear of being alone were greater than she imagined, because she had just been abandoned.
And Young Master Naiye’s punishment was actually intentional, but not meant to torment her deliberately.
The real punishment would be dealt with when he returned.
