Taking the chance, Young Master Naiye came again today to take a look at Train Station No. 1.

But there wasn’t much to see; after all, this place was still closed, even if it had been carefully tended to and had funds to operate.

However, the important train still wasn’t here, so it couldn’t be started.

They could use the small trains, but without the most important one, the core purpose and meaning were gone—how could they continue?

Otherwise it wouldn’t be called Train Station No. 1.

The people who came here most were only the three from the Engineering Knights Order, or the patrol led by that pigtailed hot girl who came by occasionally.

Besides them, there was Young Master Naiye.

Originally, the three in the Engineering Knights Order didn’t even have a club space, because three people were simply too few to qualify.

And the mechanical engineering equipment needed was numerous and large; a small room for three people was completely insufficient.

So they had never been able to apply.

Only after helping Young Master Naiye manage the train station did they finally have a decent place to mess around with engineering.

Now their routine was to come to the station and tinker with machinery.

But they were probably in class now, so only Young Master Naiye was here.

“Phone, phone, it’s… here.”

Young Master Naiye walked onto the platform monitoring the station.

The place was already refreshed, cleaned up neatly, and all sorts of items and facilities had been replaced with new ones.

Young Master Naiye approached the freshly set-up, still-new phone.

One hand opened the phone, the other pulled out a mana crystal.

He was calling to check on the situation at home; he took out the mana crystal to amplify the range of this communication!

The Lycoris family was very far from the Auriel Knight Academy; an ordinary call simply couldn’t reach.

So this time he needed a super-long-range communication call.

It was a single-use mana crystal for this type of amplification.

Depending on the grade and time consumed, the cost for super-long-range communication was roughly one hundred thousand to one million!

Beep beep beep~

Even with the mana crystal’s amplification, the call still took a little while to connect on the other end.

“Hello? Greetings! Master, is there anything you need to know or instruct?”

The call was answered by Naiye’s Dark Elf maid Cassia; from her voice and tone it was the white-haired younger sister.

As always, under her management the Lycoris affairs ran very smoothly and steadily.

“I’m checking in on you—how are things at home?”

“All is well! Each domain is stable; repairs on Train No. 1 are underway. Imminent matters are the Dragon Knights’ alliance and trade, and in a month or two the fleets at the Lycoris docks will be arriving.”

Cassia was pleased to hear her master’s voice.

She answered the state of affairs and various duties very steadily.

Young Master Naiye trusted her as his chief steward.

Under her management, everything was fine.

“Young Master Naiye, your life over there is doing well, right? When the Dragon Knights formed the alliance I knew you met Grandmother Eiru. How’s that brat Weiluxika? And also Eir—Grandma Eiru explained everything to me!”

Cassia was the first person Naiye recruited when he was very young; it was Eiru by his side who urged Naiye to establish the Three Flower Pillars, so Cassia actually knew a lot.

“All is well; Weiluxika is training. So…”

Before Young Master Naiye could finish, the voice on the line suddenly halted.

But it hadn’t hung up; Young Master Naiye didn’t need to listen or ask to know the black-haired older-sister persona had come on.

The Dark Elf maid switched, and the black-haired, expressionless sister appeared.

“Master Naiye, when will you return? Over.”

“Remember to come to me when you return. Over.”

“My sister and I miss you. Over.”

“I’ll return once the Academy stabilizes; hand the phone to my siblings.”

“Yes, obeying your orders. Over.”

Black-haired Cassia came on and, with the most mechanical phrasing, spoke the most emotionally laden words.

Though it was a bit annoying, Young Master Naiye liked that about her.

After a while the call changed hands, but it wasn’t to summon anyone.

Cassia ended the call, and Naiye’s call was passed to someone else.

On the other end, per routine tasks, a two-person team—one large, one small—was preparing to inspect the Magical Automaton knights at key locations.

Xiao Lu and Da Bai were verifying information.

First, Da Bai, who had been standing behind Xiao Lu, stopped.

(●—●)

“What’s wrong? Da Bai.”

Da Bai’s big eyes flickered, then projected an audio screen.

Understanding, Xiao Lu walked over and tapped it, connecting the call.

“Hello? Dad, you finally called! Big Sister keeps zoning out at night, thinking about you~”

A wildly noisy, childish voice, yet very pure and cheerful.

Upon hearing his godson Xiao Lu’s voice, Young Master Naiye couldn’t help but smile.

Having a noisy but happy child at home was truly nice.

This was the warmth of family.

“Xiao Lu, I’m checking on things at home. The tasks I gave you—did you do them well? Were you obedient? You didn’t make your sister or Cassia angry, did you?”

“Of course! I did a great job! And Da Bai’s right here. Also, Big Sister isn’t in the hall—she’s in the repair yard fixing that big train.”

(●—●)

From the tone, Naiye knew the little brat straightened his back proudly as he answered.

Naiye smiled, giving him praise and affirmation.

“Good, I knew I could trust Xiao Lu. I’ll leave the household automaton knights to you. Give the phone to your sister.”

“Okay~”

The call on that end ended, and the phone call began to be passed along again.

Sure enough it was Dr. Emira doing the repairs; if she said it, it should be fixable.

But Train No. 1’s condition probably wasn’t that easy; they’d need to hear Dr. Emira’s personal inspection later.

“Hello, Young Master Naiye, may I ask what you need?”

The line connected quickly.

Only this time there was not just sound—the mana crystal also displayed the image from the other side.

Because this time Dr. Emira hadn’t used the phone.

Instead, she connected via a specially made tech wristband.

Dr. Emira held her wrist up, and on the wristband appeared the long-unseen visage of Master Naiye.

Thud…….!

Dr. Emira had thought herself calm enough, but upon seeing Young Master Naiye’s face, she couldn’t help but for her heartbeat to quicken.

Her heart rate showed uneasily in the lower-left corner, noticeably faster than usual.

Looking at the calm black-haired beauty on the other side, her clear eyes wearing intellectual glasses.

Young Master Naiye smiled, because Dr. Amira somehow looked a bit prettier—this woman who originally only knew mechanics and tech had put on makeup!

But Young Master Naiye still saw the heavy dark circles hidden beneath the makeup.

Thud………!

When Young Master Naiye smiled, Dr. Emira furrowed her brow a little.

The heartbeat in the lower-left corner sped up again.

“What’s wrong? Is the repair progress on Train No. 1 not good?”

Young Master Naiye saw Dr. Emira’s brow and was a bit surprised.

Dr. Emira was a little startled inside, but her face showed no change as she began to answer.

“Train No. 1’s condition is indeed poor: many components need replacement and quite a few areas require repairs. The cause is over a year without maintenance plus old age; currently the repair progress is about 6% less than expected. In short, the repairs are a bit worse than anticipated.”

“Show me.”

Dr. Emira tapped her wristband and the screen flipped.

Young Master Naiye could now see Train No. 1 in front of Dr. Emira.

Now the entire upper half of Train No. 1 had been dismantled; around it several Magical Automata were assisting with repairs, either using tools to fix things or carrying other parts.

Many parts had already been removed, and with a glance Young Master Naiye knew those removed parts were far too old.

Comparing the sizes of Train No. 1 and Train No. 3 made it obvious: Train No. 1’s overall height and width were only about three meters, while Train No. 3 was a massive five or six meters!

But as the first train, Train No. 1 was very important to the Lycoris family; Naiye wouldn’t abandon the first train his father created.

“Replace all the worn parts and do a full overhaul. Don’t worry about the projected timeline—take it slow and get Train No. 1 properly repaired.”

“The repair completion time will be far off. Young Master Naiye, aren’t you managing a train station?”

“That’s fine. The station is basically closed now; there’s no rush to use the trains. Train No. 2 is in the city and can be used a bit. How’s Train No. 3 doing?”

Dr. Emira opened the info panel and checked the status of Train No. 3.

“Train No. 3 is currently en route to the Dragon Knight family, in good condition; weekly maintenance has kept it problem-free.”

“That’s good. It was to be expected that Train No. 1 was too old to fix easily—take it slow. Also take care of yourself; I can see your dark circles.”

Thud!

“Yes……..”

Dr. Emira had even learned a bit of makeup technique to look prettier in front of Young Master Naiye and to hide her dark circles.

But she hadn’t expected Naiye to notice anyway.

The heartbeat displayed in the lower-left was a bit high.

Dr. Emira forcibly calmed herself and smoothed the long black hair beside her face.

She felt her composed appearance was being seen through by Young Master Naiye.

“That’s enough. Don’t rush—take care of your health and go to sleep.”

“Yes……….”

Young Master Naiye’s calm but gentle face appeared, and the call was ended.

Thud……!

Dr. Emira felt a pang of disappointment

On his way back, Young Master Naiye passed the vending machine he’d encountered before.

As usual he ordered a juice, and Naiye noticed another similar but different device beside the vending machine.

A square vending machine identical to the drink one but much larger?!

No—the things sold inside weren’t drinks, but weapons and shields?

This should be called a weapon machine; it’s even four or five meters tall, several times the size of a drink machine.

The only ones who might freely sell weapons on the street were probably the belligerent female knights of the Auriel Knight Academy.

If your weapon broke, you could just buy a new one from the street’s weapon machine!

Fight! Awesome!

These were the female knights of Auriel.

To outsiders, Young Master Naiye’s behavior was actually exaggerated as well.

Young Master Naiye was only surprised for a moment before quickly accepting it.

He—the noble young master of the Auriel Kingdom—was actually used to these things.
