After the trial ended it was noon, and the heiresses immediately split into two groups to go have lunch.
One group returned to their rooms to elegantly and quietly enjoy lunch alone or with friends.
The other group went together to the elegant main dining hall for lunch.
Xiya Blackwing did not come; she had probably returned to her own family to soothe things and reorganize.
So Nia brought Young Master Naiye over by herself to this dining hall, whose style and scale were only slightly inferior to last night’s banquet, to have lunch.
It was said the Skywing Knight Family alone was wealthy enough to rival a nation—and it didn’t seem like an exaggeration.
A dining hall of such scale and refinement was just their everyday restaurant!
“Come on, Naiye, take a look—what do you want to eat?”
Sitting before a table draped in soft red silk, the table was already set with an ice bucket, elegant fragrant flowers, and neatly arranged place settings.
Of course, there were only two sets of utensils.
Nia cutely covered her face with both hands and looked at Naiye happily.
Young Master Naiye picked up the menu this time and politely examined the dishes in silence.
Many waitstaff bustled through the restaurant, but they moved with practiced, efficient motions.
They were quiet and disciplined; even with so many people, their skill quickly restored order to the whole dining room.
These rigorously trained servers completed their tasks efficiently.
Which was to make sure the guests ate delicious food.
Most guests didn’t receive special favors; the servers and chefs prepared dishes in order and brought them out.
Of course, there were always some guests the chefs especially liked.
Naturally, many guests were greatly disliked by the chefs, and the reason was simple.
“Uh, give me a stew without dairy.”
“I want the lime lambfish but no potatoes, and the white sauce with no seasoning.”
“I won’t eat much—one wheat-free chicken cutlet, and not too much sauce.”
Hearing the orders around them, Young Master Naiye understood why the chefs disliked these pampered heiresses so much.
—Don’t want this, don’t want that, no wheat, no dairy, no fat!
—Then why even eat anything at all!
Young Master Naiye could practically hear the chefs in the kitchen shouting in fury!!!
Seeing Naiye shake his head, Nia looked up in surprise.
“What’s wrong? You don’t like today’s special?”
“No, I heard the chefs’ daily specials are all different?”
Nia nodded in confirmation; this dining hall had gathered many high-caliber chefs.
The daily special menu was quite famous; even the pampered noble children had to admit how wonderful the food was!
Only they were too picky, which made them notorious in the chefs’ reputations.
As a female knight, Nia was already quite good, female knights had to eat more.
But even she couldn’t eat carelessly or too much; she still had to watch her figure.
“Alright then, so as not to waste anything, I’ll try them all!”
“All of them?”
Nia widened her beautiful lashes in surprise, a little astonished at Naiye’s appetite.
Young Master Naiye nodded, because each of the daily specials sounded truly enticing.
【Golden Bean Stew, Truffle Red Wine Risotto, Lime Lambfish with Tangy White Sauce, Roasted Quail with Cream Omelette, Braised Lamb Shank】
They sounded absolutely delicious!
“All of them. I have to finish them, that’s how I show respect to the food and the chefs.”
Hearing that, Nia smiled happily.
She now understood why, after just attending last night’s banquet, the chefs were so fond of Young Master Naiye Lycoris.
In the busy kitchen.
When Young Master Naiye and Miss Nia’s order reached the kitchen.
The chefs wearing tall white hats marveled at the list of dishes on the ticket.
No requests to remove this or that!
No substitutions either!
Compared to the other messy, pampered tables, this was so pleasing!
After all, guests eating all their food cleanly was the greatest respect.
They didn’t want their dishes to be wasted.
“This is the first time I’ve seen, aside from Miss Qing—the big eater—another noble willing to order everything!”
Generally nobles, for the sake of etiquette, wouldn’t order too much even if they could eat it.
Because wasting food would be a major loss of face.
Even those heiresses would at most order one main dish and one side; they wouldn’t order more.
“Quick, quick! Quail! Lamb shank! Risotto! Lime lambfish! Braised beef! Bean stew! I’ll take the lead on the pot!”
The head chef shouted excitedly.
The kitchen grew even busier!
In the dining room, the already noticeable Young Master Naiye and Captain Nia Skywing drew even more attention.
A table usually had at most two servers, since many hands can lead to confusion.
But Naiye and Miss Nia had five or six servers tending to them exceptionally well!
And they were the focus of attention.
The surrounding heiresses cast envious glances.
Because in this dining hall, no matter how wealthy they were, they wouldn’t receive such special treatment.
And if anyone dared to imitate Young Master Naiye by ordering everything, they’d only invite ridicule.
Because the worst thing would be not finishing it and causing extreme waste!
For those who cared about face, that was terrible!
A server gracefully and steadily poured lime sauce over the lambfish and introduced it with a smile.
“This is your lime lambfish; please enjoy it slowly.”
Another server placed the braised lamb on the table, then slowly sprinkled some spicy seasonings over it.
A third server brought out the roasted quail, its exterior perfectly crisp and tender.
After several trips back and forth, the table was nearly covered with dishes, and the servers finally withdrew.
The last one, presumably the manager, bowed gracefully to Young Master Naiye and Miss Nia and then said:
“Please enjoy your lunch slowly, and… the head chef sends his regards.”
“Thank you, and please convey our regards to the chefs as well.”
“…………”
Golden-haired Nia watched Young Master Naiye’s composed and dignified behavior.
He showed no airs, yet he drew attention.
Besides, Naiye was a relatively low-key person, especially compared to those always bickering with others.
Many people simply hadn’t seen Young Master Naiye much.
Especially at last night’s banquet, Young Master Naiye was very quiet.
And now Young Master Naiye was truly graceful and cultured!
“Nia, raise your fork.”
Nia was startled awake by the remark and found Young Master Naiye had already started eating the braised lamb.
Naiye ate mouthful by mouthful; though a bit messy, he hadn’t lost all manners.
Nia maintained her elegant etiquette, using knife and fork to bring the roasted quail to her mouth.
As she ate, she sneaked glances at Naiye’s body.
Although Naiye was somewhat slim, he didn’t necessarily look frail—more like a normal slim build—and his figure seemed barely changed since enrolling five years ago.
Everyone, especially the female knights, actually envied Young Master Naiye’s physique.
Flat and slightly thin, but not weak—rather balanced in all aspects.
Yet Naiye ate and drank so heartily!
He had done so last night as well, and now again!
A truly enviable, jealousy-inducing body!
And he’s a man!
As a woman, she was jealous of a man’s figure!
Nia sighed unconsciously, then continued her lunch.
Despite the abundance of food, Young Master Naiye still finished each dish in an average amount of time.
And he completely cleaned his plate each time!
“Naiye, sometimes I really envy your appetite and… your figure. Are you the kind who just doesn’t gain weight?”
“Actually I absorb nutrients well, and I’m not always lazing at home—repairing machinery can be quite tiring.”
Faced with Naiye’s earnest answer, Nia had nothing to retort.
Even she had to watch her diet, it’s a woman’s worry.
On their way out of the dining hall, they purposely passed by the kitchen.
The head chef saw the impeccably clean plates and smiled with joy!
The other chefs behind him felt the same.
Finally, Young Master Naiye greeted the chefs and politely praised everyone’s cooking skills.
Young Master Naiye’s reputation among the chefs improved even more!
After lunch, Nia took Naiye for a walk on the Sky Wing Knights’ territory.
She took the opportunity to show off the landscapes and buildings the Skywing Knight Family had constructed at great expense, each like a work of art.
Another major product of the Sky Wing Knights was tea.
They had particularly abundant tea mountains!
The tea plant seemed ordinary, but had exceptionally fine qualities.
The Skywing Knight Family spent lavish sums cultivating their tea.
Whoever drank it would feel warmth and calm, like a sunny gentle breeze; the gut-soothing and stomach-nourishing effects were only the most basic benefits.
Young Master Naiye admitted that, though he preferred coffee out of habit, he did feel peaceful when drinking tea.
Finally, Nia led Naiye to a courtyard to rest.
This courtyard was called the Breeze of Nature.
Below, a clear, gentle pond rippled softly.
The scenery around the pond was gentle and natural; flowers and plants grew here in a seemingly chaotic yet tranquil way.
Tall sturdy trees thrived greenly, and a light breeze passing by made one feel serene.
Nia led Naiye to sit in a pavilion.
The stone table and chairs were very comfortable to sit on.
But just when they were supposed to rest.
There had originally been several other heiresses playing here as well.
But before they knew it, only Nia and Naiye were left alone.
Once no one was around, Nia instantly removed her mask and hugged Naiye.
She was clearly a noble, beautiful blonde princess knight—indeed the lofty captain of the knight order.
Just moments ago she had been the epitome of an elegant, graceful, polite perfect lady.
Now her heroic, pretty face wore a faintly silly grin—such a contrast was startling.
Naiye pushed her away with a hint of disdain.
“You didn’t refuse Xiya, why are you refusing me?”
“How do you know? You were eavesdropping last night.”
Naiye didn’t ask but stated it directly.
“I know Xiya’s personality better than you do; no need to eavesdrop. I could’ve guessed how it went!”
Nia had definitely eavesdropped.
Young Master Naiye was very certain.
Nia came closer again, and very deftly tugged her clothing down.
She almost revealed her full and firm assets as her ripe, sweet body pressed toward him.
Her long graceful legs, sheathed in soft white silk, skillfully wound around Naiye’s thighs.
She looked so sweet and sexy, yet her energy was like she wanted to devour Naiye.
And she was very forward—much more so than Xiya!
Just as Nia hugged Naiye and was about to kiss him.
Boom!!!
The two of them froze and looked toward the source of the explosion.
