Since I have been told that the names are getting mistaken quite a lot, and I have started to lose track of them myself, here at long last is a character introduction page.
Alphonse von Granburst
His real name is Ryusuke Inoue. In this novel, Alphonse means hawk, and since he was called Taka from the 隆 in his name, he goes by that name. His main title is Headmaster of the Beast-Ear Garden.
His selling points are his cheat-level mana and copy ability. Because he worked in manufacturing for many years, he has a habit of making nothing but things all the time. He also owns a magical PC with internet access.
His body has grown younger, but he is still a middle-aged man already in his fifties, so he has absolutely no woman troubles at all, much less a harem. That makes him extremely rare for the protagonist of this sort of story.
Fal
A mysterious creature called a Rainbow Fals. Guardian deity of the spirits. In this world without gods, she is an existence equal to a god from the spirits’ point of view. Humans call her Sacred Elion, and even the Great High Priest of the Ross Grand Temple calls her the enshrined deity of Ross, the chief god, a being out of legend. The blessing carried by her song is itself already blessing and gospel incarnate.
Since there was not enough mana for her to hatch from the egg, she was entrusted to the protagonist. Lately she has been staying in human form all the time.
There was a report saying she sometimes gets mistakenly written as Fam or something. Since her name was taken from fals, the thing that swells up, she is Fal.
Remi
A little cat-eared beastfolk child. She loves cupcakes. A formidable girl who had already become a street child at sixteen months old. If I had to say, perhaps this child is the main heroine?
She turned two chai in August. Since she is tiny, the protagonist often carried her around.
Erin
The only woman in the adventurer group Team Ed. She is the foodie character, but as an adventurer she is extremely capable. She is always hanging around Eri’s place. She is in charge of the silly jokes. She is fairly pretty, but because she is charming, she is popular with men. The other members were buried under the force of her personality.
Edwin
Usually called Ed. The leader of Team Ed. He is in charge of the straight-man role. Recently he received a paper fan from the protagonist. He has a fairly serious personality. Lately he has been the person in charge of security for the Beast-Ear Garden.
Mari
A magical homunculus created through magical alchemy by the first king, Takeshi Funabashi. She was modeled after the appearance of his younger sister Mari. After Takeshi’s death, she served as the guardian of the ring in the labyrinth of Adros. She herself seems able to use magic too, but she does not seem to like fighting very much. She has been appointed vice-headmaster without anyone asking her.
She does not like to talk much about the old days.
Perhaps because she is a living witness to the wars of the past. There were many people like that in Japan too, people who experienced that war.
Apparently her hobby is collecting street children. The protagonist’s lawless behavior gives her headaches because it reminds her of her former master. From time to time, one unnecessary comment from her makes the protagonist even more full of himself.
Takeshi Funabashi
Like the protagonist, he was a Rare Visitor who wandered into this world. It was recently revealed that his name here was Yamato von Albatross. Since his own name was Takeshi, it seems he called himself Yamato as a play on Yamato Takeru. By now he is every bit as much a figure of legend as the original. They say he was a man utterly incapable of restraint. He could not return to Japan. He had an incurable weakness for sweets, especially red bean paste.
Because movement takes place while spacetime remains connected in real time, normally interdimensional travel is synchronized with Earth’s time, as with the protagonist. Going one thousand years into the past is an irregularity.
Mari Funabashi
Takeshi Funabashi’s younger sister. She is still living in Japan. She and the protagonist’s group interact over the internet.
Eri
She was rescued by the protagonist when she was being attacked by a slime in the labyrinth of Adros. The protagonist also saved her sick mother. She had been taught cooking and confectionery making for the sake of earning a living, but now she has gone all the way to handling the development and instruction of new sweets and dishes in place of the clumsy protagonist. She is practically the person in charge of the whole department. She has the ability to replace things with the ingredients and tools that exist in this world. She is hugely popular with the princesses of the royal capital.
She was once the main heroine, yet here she was forgotten by the author, a poor unfortunate girl. A kind reader reported it, so now she has safely been added in.
Touya
The little fox boy who first got caught in the udon trap. A leader-like presence in the Beast-Ear Garden. The dismantling demon king whose catchphrase is “I wanna take it apart.” He loves tinkering with machines.
Mainly in the direction of taking them apart.
Camila
A wolf beastfolk girl. A strong-willed little girl in a sub-leader sort of position at the garden. She is extremely interested in fashion design. She is cute, but she also often knocks boys flying. She has strong hunting instincts.
Miya
A bear beastfolk girl. Her worry is that the round tail unique to bear beastfolk limits what clothes she can wear. Perhaps because of that, she is very interested in sewing-related things. The protagonist is extremely fond of the cute little bear girls.
Sarnya
Miya’s little sister figure. A cute little bear girl collected by Teacher Mari. A shy child.
His Majesty the King
His name is actually Bernard von Albatross. It has finally appeared. He really did have a name. Even Takeshi had his name properly appear in the main text. Unless some old friend character shows up who calls him by name, people do not get called by name very easily.
Since people here do not go around saying things like “Bernard His Majesty the King’s o-nari~” every single time.
Emilio, Third Prince of the Albatross Royal Family
The protagonist saved him in the labyrinth of Adros. Since he also saved him during the ring trial, he has grown attached to the protagonist. He loves being told adventure stories. Apparently he resembles the first king as a child.
Old Man Ruba
The head chamberlain of the Third Prince of Albatross and also a viscount, a royal knight. He is an admirable man, but the protagonist calls him old man. They have a relationship where neither of them has to stay tense.
Antonio von Orston
The third son of House Orston, once called the shame of the kingdom. A family that wields the fearsome magical skill Magic Armor.
A man who is quick to understand things. Before anyone noticed, he had completely gotten used to the protagonist’s lawlessness. He was given a dangerous bracelet made by the protagonist, and various things have been built into it without his knowledge.
Until he fulfilled his long-cherished wish of restoring his family and returned to his territory, he kept being dragged all over the place by the protagonist.
Jessica
The Great High Priest of the Ross Grand Temple in Alba, the royal capital of Albatross Kingdom. Fifteen years old. A silver-haired super-beautiful girl. Her beauty, adorned with divinity, is said to surpass even the princesses by a full head.
However, thanks to being troubled by the upper ranks who are not exactly devoted to austere poverty, and by the spirits who do whatever they please, she has turned into a sadly disappointing super-beautiful girl.
The Crown Prince of the Albatross Royal Family
A very gentle person, but he does have his share of spirit. Serious by nature, and said to become a fine king in the future. For someone so young, he is rather slow to act. He gives off a noble atmosphere.
Armon
The Guildmaster of the Royal Capital Adventurers’ Guild. A former S-rank adventurer. The man who unnecessarily taught the protagonist advanced magic. He has a headache from being stuck with the market’s greatest problem child. Since he is busy with work, he is always in tired mode. Recently he has taken a liking to coffee.
Legg
The Sub-Guildmaster of the Royal Capital Adventurers’ Guild. He has a solid build, but he is calm and highly capable at clerical work. He was a member of the Guildmaster’s party, and Armon trusts him greatly. His family home belongs to a famous line of apothecaries and carries a house name. In Earth terms, perhaps that would be something like holding the title of Sir.
The medicine made by his family is extremely effective, but their motto is that good medicine tastes bitter.
Ars
An S-rank adventurer on close terms with the protagonist. He has an easygoing personality and light footwork. His way of speaking is light too, but what he does is first-rate. The protagonist also trusts him deeply. He has a somewhat childlike side. Even though he used to say he was bad with children, by now he has splendidly become a riding horse.
Aoi Hagiwara
Japanese. She came here on the same day as the protagonist. At the time, she was a second-year high school student. If she had remained in Japan, she would have been close to graduating by now. In the Bernstein Empire, she had been selling imitation anime. The details of her ability are unknown, but it seems to be production-type. She sometimes receives outsourced work from the protagonist. She is beautiful, but very gentle and absentminded. She had been serving as Lady Remi’s riding horse, but recently she has been getting replaced by the Ars model.
There are many fields in which she is more knowledgeable than the protagonist, such as cooking, sewing, and ceremonies, so a fair amount of work gets dumped on her.
Logos
The Guildmaster of the commercial guild in Adros. A devotee of the first king. A man of great backbone.
This has gotten long, so I will leave the rest out. Where did the princesses go?
