“What… is going on?”

At the sound of my voice imbued with Force, not only the two of them but also the two half-conscious trash flinched.

“That woman… tried to kill these two. It seemed you didn’t intend to kill them yet, so I tried to stop her, and things got a bit rough. I apologize.”

At Arun’s polite response, I turned my gaze to Hyo-ju. Under my gaze, she flinched as if scalded by something hot and lowered her head.

“Explain.”

“I wanted… to kill them. Just watching them breathe felt like my chest would burst…”

I had a feeling, and it turned out to be true.

‘Ha! She wanted to kill them… Should I think it’s impressive that Lee Hyo-ju, an Earthling, tried to kill someone with her own hands just because it’s the ‘Battlefield of Gods’? Was it a mistake to save and bring her along?’

Various thoughts crossed my mind in a brief moment, but the conclusion was still a sense of dissatisfaction.

“Lee Hyo-ju, listen carefully. Even if these chunks of meat are food waste, they are mine until I dispose of them. MINE. Are you the kind of woman who thinks it’s okay to break or meddle with someone else’s belongings just because you don’t like them? If so, we part ways here.”

I uttered harsh words without hesitation.

It wasn’t because I had any remaining feelings for her.

The fact that she was once a member of the same Legion. And objectively, she is an outstanding representative.

These two reasons were why I gave her one more chance.

“Sniff… I’m sorry.”

“Are you crying? Sigh… Still haven’t come to your senses? Listen carefully, I’ll say this one last time. This isn’t Earth! Unless someone has a special bond with you, no one will protect you just because you’re a woman, unlike on Earth. The same goes for me! If someone shows you kindness without expecting anything in return, it’s one of two things. They either want your abilities or your body.”

“Hic! Yes. Hic hic.”

I turned my gaze from Hyo-ju, who was trying hard to hold back her tears, to Arun.

“Good job.”

“A-ah, no… cough, it’s nothing!”

Arun seemed surprised by my unexpected encouragement and even bit his tongue in embarrassment.

“And there’s something you two should know: inside these walls, representatives can’t harm each other to the point of death.”

“Oh…!”

“…!”

Only then did the two realize their actions were pointless, and naturally, their expressions turned foolish.

At the same time, they looked at me with curiosity about how I knew such a fact, but then they remembered I wasn’t the kind of guy to be that kind, and withdrew their gaze from me.

“Let’s move.”

I tied the two pieces of trash by their heads behind the carriage, dragging them along the ground, and moved to the house marked on the map.

Fortunately, the coachman seemed to know the mansion I mentioned, allowing us to arrive quickly without wandering.

It seemed someone was expecting us, as a shadow flickered in front of the large iron gate.

A high and thick white wall continued to meet a black iron gate that boasted as much grandeur as the wall.

The iron gate had strange engravings, and a woman, whose hair was turning white in places and didn’t seem to belong to the Construction Guild, was waiting for us.

“You arrived quickly.”

“Ah, hello, Delegate. I am Kyuri, the representative of the Construction Guild.”

“Representative? The representative came in person? Well, let’s go in.”

After tossing a gold coin to the hardworking coachman, I headed inside, hearing the creak of the heavy gate.

As the gate opened and I stepped inside, the first thing that caught my eye was the straight white avenue extending from the main gate.

The wide, flat road, resembling marble, was broad enough for ten adult men to walk shoulder to shoulder.

Along this wide avenue, various landscaping trees were growing. The expansive white avenue was flanked by a wide garden, spreading like a forest, as if escorting us.

At the end of the white avenue stood a colorful fountain that did not match at all.

It doesn’t fit at all. Completely! Absolutely!

“This is…?”

“The previous owner had a peculiar taste…”

Kyuri, the Construction Guild representative, trailed off, sounding embarrassed.

It was understandable, as the colorful fountain stood out unexpectedly at the end of the white avenue and the classic garden.

“Make sure to get rid of it.”

“Yes!”

Fortunately, the fountain’s functions were halted, so no water flowed, lessening the mental shock.

As I moved along the circular path around the large fountain, a massive mansion emerged, so large that I had to crane my neck to see the top.

While I was distracted by the fountain, which was a cultural shock, the mansion revealed its grandeur, larger and more magnificent than expected. Even Kyuri was momentarily speechless.

“It’s big…”

In response to Lee Hyo-ju’s soft voice, I snapped out of my reverie and opened the door adorned with vintage engravings, stepping inside.

Though it looked large from the outside, the space inside welcomed us with its vastness, reminiscent of a grand hall.

Standing in the middle of the enormous hall, I took a sweeping look around the spacious house and discussed work with Kyuri.

“I want a complete remodeling, including the exterior of the mansion, the surrounding walls, and the garden. It will be a major construction. We’ll need to plaster magic circles everywhere. Can you handle it?”

“Of course!”

“Really?”

“Yes! To be honest, it’s been over three months since we received a construction request at Exorsus. With a project this large, all the construction guild members can work together to handle it efficiently and quickly. Just leave it to us.”

I didn’t know about those circumstances. Around this time before the regression, I was fleeing from the Monster Belt, crying and screaming.

“Alright, then I’ll trust you with it. First, about that wall, I’d like it to be higher and thicker. On the perimeter, set up intrusion prevention, alarm, defense, and even counterattack magic. For the main gate, include recognition magic, defense, counterattack, and open/close magic.”

“What?!”

“Why? Is it difficult? We’re just getting started.”

“N-no, it’s not!”

Kyuri, taken aback by the list of magic types, quickly started recording what I’d explained.

“Then let’s continue. Push down all the trees on both sides of the avenue. Plant flowers or grass that reach from the ankle to below the knee in the garden. You can also plant trees if they are around that size. What I’m saying is, from the mansion, I want the entire garden to be visible at a glance. Even if an intruder climbs over the wall, the moment they stand in the garden, they shouldn’t be able to hide anywhere.”

“Ah…! Yes!!”

“Now, based on the white avenue, install a Spirit Concentration Magic Circle on the right and a Mana Concentration Magic Circle on the left. Speaking of concentration magic circles, let’s talk about them all at once. As I just mentioned, Spirit on the right side of the garden, Mana on the left, and behind this mansion would be the training ground, right?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“In the training ground, install a Force Concentration Magic Circle, and in the large room at the very top of the mansion, install a Divinity Concentration Magic Circle. You’re well aware of the four major divine powers, and there’s no need to mention that each magic circle should not interfere with the others, right? That’s why we’re spreading them out widely.”

“Of course! But are you going to install all of that? It will cost quite a bit.”

“Yes.”

At my firm declaration, Kyuri clicked her tongue and shook her head in disbelief.

“Next is this space, the interior. First, throw away any unusable furniture. If you feel it’s a waste, give it to those in Exorsus who need it. The bed and blankets should be the best. As far as I know, there’s a bed used by nobles that has a Refresh Magic Circle installed on it, and if it’s something like that, even better.”

“Are you talking about a bed with a Fatigue Recovery Magic Circle?”

“Yeah. In our dimension, there’s a saying that sleep is the best medicine. For the overall interior, make the first floor look elegant and not cheap, so it exudes a sense of class. From the second to the fourth floor, just keep it neat. The ones who will use it in the future can decorate it themselves.”

“Yes, yes.”

“We should definitely install Temperature Control and Cleanliness Magic Circles throughout the entire mansion, right? Oh! And is there anyone in Exorsus capable of installing a magic circle that can simultaneously integrate the four divine powers?”

“I am confident I can find someone who can do it! Just leave it to me!”

“Alright. Then, here below, I mean the basement. Make the door leading to the basement sturdy, or use magical means to secure the entrance. Even if the manor collapses, it shouldn’t be affected. I’m planning to use it as a personal training ground. Reinforce the floor, walls, and ceiling, and install Shock Absorption Magic Circles to the limit. Install the four divine powers integration magic circle on the floor as mentioned earlier.”

“Gulp… Ah, understood.”

“And can you install a Gravity Magic Circle in the underground training ground? How many times can it be increased?”

“If it’s a Gravity Magic Circle, you’re talking about a Weight Increase Magic Circle…? Well, the thing is… there’s no one who specifically installs such magic circles…”

Understanding the meaning of a Gravity Magic Circle, I nodded, and she trailed off awkwardly.

Kyuri’s point was valid. Who would forcibly install a weight-increasing magic circle in their home, especially underground?

Unless it was a treasure vault of a high-ranking noble or royalty with a massive vault.

“That makes sense. For now, look into it. The four divine powers integration magic circle is the priority, then install the Gravity Magic Circle to the maximum extent possible.”

“Yes, I will do my best!”

“Relax. This is the last one. Is the two-story house on the right of the mansion the employees’ quarters?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“Then install a Temperature Control Magic Circle there too. Also, add a couple more floors. Since it’s two stories, just add two more on top. And on the left side of this mansion, build a forge, no, a massive workshop. Equip it with the best facilities the construction guild can provide. Make it an all-purpose workshop capable of handling almost all tasks like forging, alchemy equipment, crafting, and leather refining. I’m looking forward to it.”

“Yes! Leave it to us. We won’t disappoint you.”
