Having received a total of two reward boxes each, they swallowed hard and opened them. The list of rewards filled the screen, overflowing and seemingly endless. It felt as if the items were literally raining down.
There was a massive amount of Tier EXP and gold coins. The items were incredibly diverse, ranging from Rare-grade and above equipment, outfits, and accessories to furniture, weapons, life tools, mounts, recovery potions, elixirs, combat scrolls, and crafting materials. It felt as though their minds couldn’t keep up with the list scrolling before their eyes.
“Eek! A mortar! The Sage’s Mortaaar!”
At that moment, Holanghee shrieked and collapsed to her knees. In her trembling hands was a small mortar—a Legendary-grade alchemy tool that was harder to find than a star in the night sky.
Noquia and Father were also digging through their inventories with sparkling eyes, clearly having pulled something impressive as well.
Theo had received various good items, but none were particularly useful for him. He felt inwardly disappointed, but he figured selling them would certainly pad his pockets. Thinking it was a relief to at least make some money, Theo turned to Blaine.
“Did you get anything good?”
At Theo’s question, Blaine looked at him and nodded.
“I got something I’ve never seen before.”
He held out his palm, seemingly intending to show the item. Theo stepped closer to peer at Blaine’s hand.
“What is it?”
Simultaneously, an item materialized above Blaine’s palm. It looked like a full moon partially draped in night clouds.
“It’s called ‘Full Moon in the Courtyard,’ and it says it’s a residential ornament. I think it’s for house decorating.”
Full Moon in the Courtyard? It was an item even Theo had never heard of. Theo inspected the item information floating above Blaine’s hand.
As Theo read down the description, he was horrified by the item’s grade.
“Legendary?! I mean, what kind of housing item is Legendary grade?”
He continued reading the rest of the description.
“That’s insane…”
After finishing the description, Theo could only mutter blankly. Blaine nodded in agreement, his voice slightly excited.
“I want to install it at home quickly. I’m curious to see how it looks.”
“I bet.”
Theo looked up at Father, Holanghee, and Noquia. He was about to suggest they head back to town. Then, his eyes fell on Noquia. She was turning a dagger he’d never seen before over in her hands; it was likely a reward.
“Hey, Noquia, is your vision okay now?”
Noquia, who had been inspecting the dagger with gleaming eyes, looked up.
“Huh?”
“Your eyes.”
“Oh! Oh! I can see perfectly!”
Noquia made circles with her hands and held them to her eyes, making a big fuss. Theo gave a lukewarm, awkward smile and turned to Father. He was about to suggest returning to town when Father spoke first.
“But I wonder, which part was different between the True Ending we saw and the regular ending? Since we saw the True Ending on our first try, we can’t even compare them.”
Everyone looked at Father. Now that she mentioned it, she was right. What was the result of the normal ending? Where did the hidden portion begin?
While everyone was deep in thought, Noquia asked boldly.
“Want to run it one more time?”
Father, Holanghee, and Theo all looked at Noquia. Then, with one heart and one mind, they shouted in unison.
“Get lost!”
As Noquia grew dejected at the fierce rebuke, Father clicked her tongue and opened the Guild category.
[Father: Has anyone cleared The Unreturning Guest dungeon?]
[Marco: ?]
[Red Snapper: We just got out after clearing it, why?]
[Father: What was the ending like?]
[Bastard Kid: Why? Did you guys fail to clear it?]
[Holanghee: Look at this brat, who do you think you’re talking to?]
[Bastard Kid: ;;]
[Yorkshire: We just got four items, escaped, and that was it?]
[Theo: You didn’t give them back to the bride?]
[Yorkshire: Huh? Why would we give them back to her? Don’t you lose if she takes them?]
[Marco: By the way, didn’t you guys enter around the same time as us? You’re just finishing now?]
[Red Snapper: Yeah, true. That took a really long time.]
[Noquia: We saw the True Ending, you punks!]
[Marco: What?]
[Yorkshire: ??]
[Bastard Kid: There’s something like that?!]
[Leather Flute Hip Song: ???]
[Red Snapper: ????]
[Noquia: We saw the True Ending and got insane rewards!]
[Holanghee: Right!! I got the Sage’s Mortar!!!]
[Marco: Whoa, seriously?!]
[Bastard Kid: What! That’s OP! That’s cheating!]
[Yorkshire: What’s the condition for the True Ending? You just give the items back to the bride??]
[Father: We haven’t seen the normal ending, so we don’t know the exact conditions.]
[Holanghee: They probably made it hard to find, so the devs must be losing their minds now that it’s been cracked in a single day lol.]
[Red Snapper: Aw man, I want to see the True Ending too!!]
[Yorkshire: Did the luck trigger again because you brought Blaine along? Blaine, go with me next time!]
[Blaine: ;;]
[Bastard Kid: Beat it, I’m first in line!]
[Leather Flute Hip Song: Get in line!!!]
The guild members started bickering over Blaine as they pleased, but Father ignored them completely.
“They said they cleared it a while ago, so there’s probably a strategy video up on the boards by now.”
Holanghee snapped her fingers in agreement.
“Then let’s head to the guild house, find the video, and compare how it’s different.”
Noquia agreed it was a good idea. As the three excited women were about to move, Theo hurriedly stopped them.
“But if we go to the guild, those guys are going to follow us and be incredibly noisy.”
The atmosphere cooled instantly. If they went to the guild house now, they would be buried under a barrage of questions. As they deliberated, Holanghee made a suggestion.
“Then shall we go to Sanaret Village? We can grab a meal too.”
Theo and Noquia looked at Holanghee, liking the idea. Just as they were about to agree, Father’s voice cut in.
“No…”
Father trailed off and shook her head, her gaze shifting toward Theo and Blaine. There was a look in her eyes.
“Why haven’t you guys had a housewarming party?”
“Huh?”
“Pardon?”
“It’s been forever since you moved, yet you never invite us. Why no housewarming?”
“…….”
Caught off guard, Theo could only stare blankly at them with his mouth agape.
“She’s right! We still haven’t seen our Sweetie’s new place!”
“Is there some reason we can’t go?!”
As Noquia shouted with a sly, exaggeratedly shocked face, Theo instinctively snapped back.
“There’s no reason…!”
“If there’s nothing, then let’s go to your place!”
They were relentless. Theo knew he’d just get more entangled if he kept arguing. He pressed a hand to his forehead and let out a long sigh of frustration. After glancing at the three women who were chanting “Let’s go” like parrots, he turned to Blaine.
It wasn’t a house he lived in alone, so he couldn’t decide unilaterally. Sensing his gaze, Blaine looked at Theo, and Theo gestured for him to lean in.
As Blaine lowered his head with a curious look, Theo whispered into his ear.
“Is it okay to bring them to our house?”
At the cautious question, Blaine’s eyes widened as he looked at Theo. Then, he gave a radiant smile.
“Of course. I’d like that.”
Seeing that incredibly pure smile, Theo’s brow furrowed slightly with concern. He spoke again in an even lower voice.
“You can say no if you don’t want to.”
Theo remembered Blaine saying he didn’t like anyone but him. Even if he was pretending to be fine, he might still find the three of them uncomfortable. If it were Theo, he would have hated having uncomfortable people in his home. He figured if Blaine said no, they could just go somewhere else.
But Blaine simply smiled and shook his head again.
“I’m really okay. In fact, I’ve been wanting to show off the house I live in with you, Hyung.”
Seeing his cheeks flush slightly, it seemed he was sincere. Theo smiled helplessly and ruffled his hair.
“You’re too kind.”
Father, who was watching the two of them whispering and acting all lovey-dovey with a dissatisfied look, finally burst out.
“What are you two whispering about while glued together?! Stop trying to find a way out and lead the way!”
Theo turned back with eyes weary from her booming voice and shook his head in resignation.
“We’re not running. Fine, let’s go. To our house.”
As Theo and Blaine led the way out of the dungeon lobby, Father, Holanghee, and Noquia cheered and scurried after them.
When they arrived in Lucilvania, Theo and Blaine led them into the alleyway between the stables and the training grounds. The three women seemed a bit taken aback as they entered such a secluded area, but they followed without a word of complaint.
However, as they saw the sky opening up over the alley and the beautifully decorated, quiet scenery, exclamations of admiration began to escape their lips.
“We’re here.”
Theo’s voice broke through as the three were distracted by the view. They snapped out of it and looked at Theo, who was pointing at a building in front of them.
It was a two-story house with a set of about ten steps leading up to the front door.
