Theo, a player of the virtual reality game Eternal Tale, is generally an unlucky person.

One day, Theo miraculously obtains an item that allows him to enter a sacred sanctuary—something he never thought possible. His luck continues, and he even acquires a mythical-grade item called the “Eternal Fog.”

But the Eternal Fog, almost mocking his misfortune, turns out to be a close-combat weapon. For Theo, who plays as a ranged archer, it’s nothing more than a pie in the sky.

As he struggles with the decision of whether to sell the Eternal Fog, Theo ends up saving another player who was struggling in a high-level hunting ground. At that moment, he discovers a way to actually make use of the Eternal Fog.

The rescued player, Blaine, is the opposite of Theo—well-known for his extraordinary luck. Wanting to repay Theo, Blaine insists on following him, and the time they spend together keeps growing…
