Moonlight fell upon the nighttime forest.
In the hall inside Kou’s dungeon beneath the mansion, Teti, Sophia, and Rāna were gathered around a table.
On the table were ham, sausages, a stew-like soup, as well as bread and ale.
Sophia, the cleric who was staying there, stood up with a smile. Her blue hair, cut evenly at her shoulders, flowed smoothly.
“Then, to celebrate Rāna-chan’s rapid growth, let’s have a slightly luxurious dinner. —Congratulations, Rāna-chan.”
“I don’t really get it, but congrats! Rāna-chan!”
“Sophia, Teti, thank you!”
Rāna, the Sacred White Dragon girl, raised both hands and rejoiced. Her childish smile was adorable. Her white hair bounced and sparkled.
Then dinner began.
Teti, the elf girl, put a sausage between bread and bit into it.
As she ate, she placed a hand on her cheek and rejoiced.
“Mmm~! The meat is so springy! The juices are overflowing!”
“To think it becomes this delicious just by stuffing it into a casing… How surprising.”
Sophia widened her blue eyes while stuffing her cheeks.
Beside her, Rāna bit into a sausage and broke into a beaming smile.
“It’s delicious, kyai!”
Teti took out a bottle.
“There’s ale too, apparently. Want some? I don’t need any, though.”
“This is unusual liquor. I think I’ll have some.”
Sophia poured it into a glass and took a sip.
At once, her cheeks turned red.
“Fwaa… It isn’t fruit wine, but it has such a sweet fragrance… hehe.”
Sophia began grinning with drunken eyes.
For some reason, she giggled.
Teti looked at her with a flat stare.
“Sophia, what happened?”
“Nfu~. There are two Teti-chans, kyahaha.”
“Huh!? From just one sip of ale!?”
“Ale, she says! Ale, ale! Fight! —That was a cheer, just kidding, kyahaha!”
She laughed and took another sip. She choked while laughing with a sputter.
But she kept laughing.
Teti moved her body away a little, looking at her as if she were seeing something unbelievable.
Rāna also looked up at Sophia with her large eyes wide while eating a sausage.
Teti quietly gave her a look and said,
“Rāna-chan, come over to this side.”
“Kyui!”
Rāna hopped down from her chair, went around the table, and sat beside Teti.
When Sophia saw that, she clutched her stomach and began laughing. Her blue hair shook grandly.
“She moved! Rāna-chan moved to the other side! —Kyahaha!”
“Huh, what is this…? Was there some dangerous drug in the ale?”
Teti reached out and looked at the ale bottle.
“Let’s see—‘Special Ale! Monster Killer’… What a violent name.”
She let a little drip onto an empty plate, dipped her fingertip in it, and licked it.
“Bitter… But it’s normal, I guess?”
Rāna also copied her, dipped a finger in, and licked it. At once, her blue eyes snapped wide open.
“Muh… —Muhya!?”
“Huh, muhya!? What’s muhya!? What happened, Rāna-chan!? —Ah, don’t tell me!”
“Lend me your hands! —Papa’s bread clap! And there! —Who killed it, kyakkai no kai! And there! —Who killed it, kyakkai no kai! …Kyahaha!”
Rāna got completely into it, clapping her hands three times, then leaning forward and thrusting both hands out.
She was laughing loudly with a full smile.
“You’ve got to be kidding me… She only licked it once.”
Teti furrowed her brows and stood there in shock.
Then Sophia suddenly stood up and took off her clothes.
Her slender limbs and white skin were exposed.
“Okaaay, Sophia will do a party trick! A newborn fawn! —Kyahaha!”
While laughing, she made her spread legs tremble. Her well-shaped breasts trembled along with them.
Then, as if something were just that funny, she slammed the table over and over while clutching her stomach and laughing.
“A fawn, a fawn! Kyahaha!”
Rāna also slammed the table together with her and laughed out loud. Tears were floating at the corners of her large eyes.
Teti could only stand there dumbfounded with her mouth open.
“Eeeh… What is this? What’s going on…?”
At that moment, the sub-device Teti was holding vibrated.
Teti hurriedly put it to her ear.
“The feast is in full swing, bamboo horse! What’s up?”
“Hey, Kou-chan, something weird is happening! It seems like it’s because of the ale!”
“You can drink your liquor, but no-vember. If you drip a little on the floor, I can tell, maybe?”
“Ah, okay!”
Teti tilted the ale bottle and dripped a little onto the floor.
The liquid was absorbed into the floor.
“Lick… This is potassium cyanide—. Ooh. Hmm, hmm, I see. This is dungeon-made liquor.”
“Huh, it is?”
“I see, I see. If you split up the process, you can handle fermentation even in a dungeon. Quite the artisan technique, maybe?”
“I get that, but why did those two become weird?”
“Humans only get strongly drunk, but against monsters, it has effects like intoxication, hypnosis, elation, and confusion. It seems to have effects like the magic Confusion, maybe?”
“Oh, I see… Huh!? Monsters!? I understand Rāna-chan because she’s a dragon, but Sophia-san is a monster too!?”
“She is not human, after all.”
“Oh, right… What about me? Are elves human too?”
“Maybe all demi-humans who are close to humans are fine? Or maybe you are a little human, Teti-san?”
“Ah~, true. I guess my mother’s side was human-like.”
She glanced at Sophia.
She was stark naked, holding Rāna to her chest and laughing uproariously.
“Party trick~—nursing announcement~! Kyahaha!”
“Total flop~! —Kyakyai no kai! And there! Kyakyai no kai! Heave-ho! —A sparrow on a tree branch was dancing samba! Yoiyoi yoiyoi, whoopsie—kyahaha!”
The two twisted their bodies on top of the table and laughed with tears streaming down their faces.
They had gone strange from laughing too much.
Teti spoke through the sub-device while being seriously put off.
“What should I do? Kou-chan, can you make something like an antidote?”
“Mmm. It’s originally just normal liquor with special effects added, so making one immediately would be troublesome, maybe? Rather, wouldn’t making them drink a Puchi Elixir work?”
“Ah, we had that! Send one out, Kou-chan!”
“Okaaay. —Fully, fully satisfied, one bottle satisfied, it is.”
A small treasure chest appeared on the floor.
Teti opened the lid and took a small bottle of Puchi Elixir from inside. It was a white bottle with the royal mark.
However, when she tried to make Sophia drink it, Sophia would not cooperate.
As soon as she jumped onto a chair, she stood on one leg. She also spread her black-and-white wings, spread both arms, and shouted. Stark naked, of course.
“Party trick—the Raging Hawk Pose! Kyahaha!” “Hawk! Kyakyai!”
“This is no good.”
Teti shrugged in exasperation.
Kou’s voice came from the sub-device.
“Let’s move on to the next one.”
Teti picked up her half-eaten bread with sausage in it and secretly left the table.
Leaving the two making a ridiculous racket behind, she headed toward the rear hall where her own room was.
When she entered the hall where Kou was, she waved at the pure-white sphere.
“I’m going to sleep. I’ll just leave that alone now.”
“Okaaay, good night~. —Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.”
“Why did you say it three times…? Well, good night.”
Teti opened the door and entered her room while biting into her bread.
Kou was left in the hall.
Sophia and Rāna’s laughter could be heard from the hall in front.
While blue light ran across the surface of the sphere, Kou muttered.
“But this is actually pretty dangerous, maybe? Would it also nullify Madam? Rather, it even works on the Sacred White Dragon? —Could it have a piercing effect? Mmm… I must take countermeasures, measures sticky-sticky.”
As the ridiculous uproar continued from the front room, Kou kept thinking while the lights on its surface blinked on and off.
