One week after the Goblin General’s attack.

The pendant hanging from Kikori’s chest had changed to one made of red iron.

He had ranked up once due to the definite achievement of single-handedly defeating the Goblin General.

Well, even calling it a rank up, it apparently served only as proof to others of his work performance and didn’t really come with anything special…

However, speaking of changes, there was one major change.

“…Here you go. Fried rice.”

“Hmm.”

Aria, holding her spoon ready, stabbed it into the fried rice on the plate Kikori set down.

A generous scoop.

She brought the spice-scented fried rice to her mouth, chewed… and eventually nodded, saying,

“Hmm, I see.”

“It’s normally tasty!”

“Did you have to add ‘normally’?”

“For something you say is from your previous life’s taste, it was normal.”

“That detailed explanation hurts…!”

“Well, anyway, it’s Kikori’s previous life knowledge. I’ve tried various things over the past few days, but it doesn’t seem like there’s any problem even if you use it fully.”

“I kind of understand that.”

Yes, Kikori had told Aria about his previous life.

Everything, including being called demon-possessed and wandering here.

Aria gently hugged him saying “I see”… but in truth, Aria—or rather some people in this world—already knew of the existence of people with “previous lives.”

Such people sometimes created unbelievable things from impossible ideas, or caused terrible incidents… and for various reasons, the existence of “previous-life holders” was not publicly announced.

She told Kikori it was because when they once tried to manage them, things turned disastrous.

Yes, it was common sense that “previous-life holders” usually possessed the power to accomplish such things.

As a price, most of them self-destructed or lived short lives…

“Compared to them, Kikori is normal, or rather, no matter how you struggle, you’re just an ordinary person. You’d probably only be judged as a normal person obsessed with previous-life holders.”

“Not even ‘high possibility,’ huh…”

“I know you couldn’t even read letters before, so I understand you’re not like that. Also, publicly declaring you have a previous life isn’t very good. People who know will know, and strange types will gather around.”

“Yeah… that makes sense.”

He was able to cast off the burden of being a reincarnator with a previous life.

However… the fact that it ultimately didn’t seem like much of a weapon left Kikori slightly disappointed.
