A cloak shop. Was thinking such a thing existed the interference of common sense from his previous life?

Yet Kikori had indeed been brought to a cloak shop.

The sign read Jessie Cloak Shop. This store carried nothing but cloaks.

“Whoa… amazing.”

“Right? Coming to places like this really gets me excited!”

“There are so many designs too.”

Yes, there really were all kinds.

Some cloaks were just bright red pieces covering only the back, while others were sleeveless raincoat-like cloaks covering the whole body.

Among them, the raincoat-like types seemed especially numerous.

Even just the sleeveless raincoat type came in many varieties, from thin ones to fluffy ones.

Kikori approached a fluffy cloak and let out an impressed voice.

“It’s like a futon…”

“Ah—this type? You actually can use it like a futon, but it’s meant for normal travelers.”

“Yeah. You wouldn’t be able to move wearing that.”

As they talked, a clerk approached.

“Are you looking for a cloak?”

“Ah, yes.”

“We’re heading deep into the Contaminated Region, so we’re thinking of getting something fairly easy to move in.”

Kuon smoothly explained their request, and apparently a cloak for adventurers functioned as simple bedding.

A blanket you could move in while wearing it. That was basically it.

“I see… what is your budget?”

“It doesn’t have to be cheap, but something reasonable. We’ll wear it out.”

Eil nodded, saying “That’s true,” but Kikori ended up giving an awkward smile.

Being able to say it didn’t need to be cheap was because Kuon had the Big Goblin reward money, and Kikori had the reward for defeating the Goblin General.

After that, Kuon’s contribution to the Big Goblin subjugation had also been recognized, so his wallet was warm too.

Kikori truly felt that having money was important.

“In that case, something not too heavy would be best.”

“What kind of heavy ones are there?”

Kikori asked without thinking, and the clerk’s eyes gleamed.

“Interested? Veteran heavy warrior adventurers often use them—we have cloaks woven with chainmail!”

“Ah, just a normal one this time…”

Kuon interrupted, and the clerk returned to selecting cloaks saying “What a shame”… though indeed, only heavy warriors would wear such a thing.

“Then how about this cloak? It’s relatively easy to put on and take off, and has high water resistance.”

The clerk presented a fairly thin sleeveless raincoat type.

There were many of this kind in the shop—perhaps they were the best sellers.

“Hmm… I think it’s good. Kikori?”

“I think it works.”

“Ah, I’m fine with it too. The price looks reasonable.”

And so the brand-new shining cloaks they bought were excellent items… but—

Kikori, who carried two Magic Axes and a round shield on his back, ran into a small problem of having to readjust how he carried his weapons.

Well, it was a trivial issue.
