He jumped.

Even if he looked like a dragon, Kikori was not a dragon.

He did not possess a single method for flying through the sky.

So, Kikori could not fly.

But he could jump toward the sky.

The strengthening from Mjolnir applied across his entire body.

That gave Kikori’s legs the power to jump into the great sky.

So he jumped.

With a booming sound, he soared upward. From the ground to the sky, lightning fell in reverse.

“Flying!? A human!? No, this is…!”

The Great Wyvern could see it.

That thing, clad in a strangely unusual presence for a human, had taken a form that could be mistaken for a dragon.

And it had flown.

“Uoooooooooooooooo!”

He flew. He soared. The Great Wyvern flew higher into the sky to escape Kikori.

However, Kikori caught up.

The lightning flowing from the axe he swung ran through the Great Wyvern’s body.

“Guh, ooooooh!?”

“Thunder Arrow!”

As if matching him, several lightning arrows fired by Orphe pierced the Great Wyvern, and lightning covered its body in a blinding glow.

Then Kikori returned to the ground with the effect of Mjolnir.

That attack had caught it by surprise. He had also struck it with the maximum power he could think of.

The lightning had flowed through the Great Wyvern as well.

And yet.

“Ha, hahahahahaha! Is that all!? An attack of this level! As if it could reach my life!”

Even so, it had only put slight wounds on the Great Wyvern.

The lightning too had been blocked by its hide and had not penetrated inside.

“…!”

“You’ve got to be kidding me…”

They had not been holding back. Their combination had raised the power, and it should have been the strongest attack they could possibly make.

What they lacked was ability.

It was a problem from before tactics or courage or anything like that.

With Kikori and Orphe’s ability, they could not reach the Great Wyvern’s life.

It was a reality so simple that there was nothing difficult about it, and precisely because of that, it was cruel.

Kikori and the others did not have enough ability to defeat the Great Wyvern.

That fact alone struck Kikori and the others as a crisis.

And gave the Great Wyvern pleasure.

“You’re strong. Strong indeed. You have courage too. Perhaps when people like you grow, you end up strutting around the territory as if you own it.”

“Ki, Kikori…”

“But still. You will die here. Especially you. I mean you, the one I can’t quite tell is human or not.”

The Great Wyvern’s eyes were certainly fixed on Kikori.

In those eyes, there was a shade as if it were trying to see through Kikori.

“I wonder why. I feel like I should make absolutely sure to brutally kill you here.”

And so, the Great Wyvern plunged downward.

It was the next instant that Kikori realized he had been seized with tremendous force.

Orphe’s scream rang out… and Kikori, still caught in the wyvern’s grip, soared far into the sky… high into the air.

“So die. I’ll kill you in a way that makes absolutely certain you die.”

It threw Kikori upward just like that.

The magical tornado stirred up by the wyvern tore at Kikori and lifted him even farther into the sky… into the sky.

He would die.

Ah, he would die.

He would die here.

No matter what he did, he would die.

While realizing that… Kikori lost consciousness inside the magical tornado.

And then.

Kikori was standing in a pitch-black space.
