“GROOOOOOO!”

The Goblin General raised its sword to meet Kikori head-on.

With a terrifying roar, the sword came crashing down—so violent it looked like it could cleave even an orc in two.

But it didn’t hit Kikori.

Slipping through the gap in the attack, Kikori swung his magic axe and targeted the openings between the Goblin General’s armor plates.

“GRAAAAH!”

“Guh!”

But there was no way the Goblin General would allow that.

A vicious kick hammered into Kikori and sent him tumbling.

As Kikori rolled disgracefully across the ground, the Goblin General moved in to follow up—then twitched at Kikori’s word.

“Charge.”

“Mjol—”

Because it understood what that meant, the Goblin General raised its sword to bisect Kikori.

But it was too late.

“—nir!”

Lightning wrapped around the axe.

The thrown axe was aimed at the descending sword, and its tremendous force knocked the Goblin General’s blade off line.

It didn’t let go of the sword—no, it didn’t—but because of that grip, the Goblin General took the lightning surging from the Mjolnir-wreathed axe directly through the weapon.

“G—GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!?”

Boom—through the sword, the strike of lightning carried by Mjolnir poured into the Goblin General.

The mana was too great for it to be charred black in a single hit, but it still hurt badly enough that the Goblin General cried out in agony.

And then, the Goblin General heard it.

“Charge.”

That voice.

“G—GIIIIIII!”

It wouldn’t let him do it again. The Goblin General charged at Kikori, who held two axes at the ready.

It would kill him before he could fire it.

Easy. There were countless ways to do that.

That thought—and that judgment—was correct.

Compared to Kikori, the Goblin General had a mountain of ways to kill him in a single blow.

Even Mjolnir, even with Charge, wouldn’t be enough to kill the Goblin General in one hit.

But—what if that was exactly what Kikori wanted it to believe?

“GIIIIIIII!”

The sword swung. Because of the difference in size, the Goblin General’s attacks tended to be heavy downward strikes.

And just like before, Kikori dodged and slipped inside—

And seeing the same movement again, the Goblin General grinned.

So he hadn’t learned what happened last time.

It drove in a kick with the intent to smash him to pieces.

“Break—”

It slammed home.

“—er!”

Kikori went flying, like a pebble that had been kicked by accident.

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

A sudden pain struck its leg, and the Goblin General screamed in violent agony.
