The Goblin General’s legs showed no visible damage.
Its magic defense had likely surpassed even the charged attack.
But if it worked even a little, that was enough.
The Goblin General dropped to one knee and cried out in pain.
“H-haha. I finally see an opening.”
“Gi, GIIIIII!”
The Goblin General threatened Kikori as he stood up.
The goblins attacking the Hero Gate noticed something was wrong and began returning.
Therefore, Kikori could not let this chance escape.
All the mana remaining in the armor’s mana stone was poured into this single strike.
“Charge”
Mana flowed into his body. The violent impulse intensified further.
His thoughts shifted from “I want to destroy” to “How do I destroy it?”
Everything else faded from view.
“Mjolnir!”
Lightning power dwelled within the Magic Axe.
With a don sound, the Magic Axe charged with all remaining mana shone with dazzling lightning.
The sparking brilliance looked like a symbol of destruction itself.
He threw the axe.
Naturally, the Goblin General blocked it with its shield.
“…Gi?”
Yes, it blocked it.
A mere axe with not a trace of mana inside it.
Its vision covered by the shield, an opening was created.
Kikori ran. The distance was not great.
It was almost instantaneous.
By the time the Goblin General realized it, he was already swinging back.
“OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
He threw it.
The lightning-imbued Magic Axe struck the Goblin General’s head.
Mjolnir, activated with all charged mana and all of Kikori’s own mana.
It shattered the Goblin General’s helmet and pierced in. Into the wound, into the body. Lightning was poured in without remainder, harvesting its life.
What rang out was a heavy dogon sound.
All attention gathered on the Goblin General.
The charred Goblin General slowly collapsed its massive body.
The moment it fell to the ground with a tremor, the Magic Axe returned to Kikori’s hand.
That alone made everyone present understand what had happened.
Holding the Magic Axe ready, with the round shield he carried on his back in his free hand.
A goblin that had tried to approach Kikori and witnessed everything let out a shriek.
“Hii… HIIIGIAAAAAAA!”
That scream spread.
They had only been coordinated by the Goblin General, so once the commander vanished, their cooperation immediately disappeared.
The attacks from the Hero Gate intensified, and both the lizard riders and the Magi Riders quickly fell into disadvantage amid the confusion.
Then the gate opened. The remaining adventurers and guards began their sortie… and this defensive battle too ended in humanity’s victory.
Etching into the guards’ memories the single contributor who had slain the Goblin General.
