After The Night Of Betrayal And Sadness!

Once night fell, I sent a message to Karen. Naturally, it was under the pretense that I had “just returned from my trip.”
(Yu): Karen, you still up?
(Karen): I’m awake~
(Yu): Just got home.
(Karen): Oh, really? Did you have fun on your trip?
(Yu): It was alright. I think I managed to relax.
(Karen): That’s good~
(Yu): What were you up to?
(Karen): Nothing much~. Just lazing around at home.
This girl… she already forgot her “meeting friends” cover story from Saturday night.
(Yu): I see. You want to go out somewhere together next week?
Let’s see how she answers this.
(Karen): Hmm, I don’t know yet.
I see. Her feelings really have drifted quite far from me.
(Yu): Alright, I’ll contact you later then.
(Karen): Ah, wait a sec.
(Yu): What is it?
(Karen): I’m thinking of going on a trip with my friends soon, too.
A trip with friends? With who?
(Yu): Which friends?
(Karen): From back home. My friends from middle school.
Suspicious. I have a feeling that whenever Karen meets Kamokura, she uses “friends from back home” as her excuse.
(Karen): It’s fine, right? You went on a trip with Ishida-kun this week, Yu-kun! I want to have a relaxing time with my old friends once in a while, too.
The sheer pushiness of her, saying that before I could even get a word in. It’s definitely Kamokura, isn’t it?
(Yu): I didn’t say no. It’s fine. Go ahead.
(Karen): [ “Good!” sticker ]
(Yu): When are you planning to go?
(Karen): It’s not set in stone yet. But probably during the long weekend in November.
(Yu): Okay. Let me know when it’s decided.
(Karen): Will do.
The exchange with Karen ended there. I immediately called Toko-senpai.
“Yes?”
“It’s me. I just finished messaging Karen.”
“Was it about her ‘going on a trip’?”
“Did you hear about it from Kamokura-senpai, too?”
“It wasn’t that specific, but he mentioned over the phone just now that he ‘might go on a trip with the guys from his old school club.’”
“Just as I thought. Karen said the same thing. The dates aren’t final, but she said the long weekend in November.”
“Tetsuya didn’t go that far. He just said it was a ‘maybe.’”
If that’s the case, it means Karen is deeper into the affair than Kamokura is. Even though I don’t think of Karen as my girlfriend anymore, it still irritates me. I decided to mention it to Toko-senpai.
“Judging by the way they’re talking, it seems like Karen is the one more invested.”
Toko-senpai seemed to have received the same impression.
“It does feel that way.”
“When I asked her if she wanted to meet next week, she told me she ‘didn’t know yet.’”
“That’s problematic.”
Toko-senpai’s voice trailed off. She seemed to be thinking.
“At any rate, let’s meet tomorrow. I want to plan out our next moves. The location is the same coffee shop where we first met. Is that alright?”
“Understood. Same time as before, then.”
With that, I hung up. Toko-senpai had finally acknowledged the reality of the affair between Tetsuya Kamokura and Karen Mitsumoto.
From here on, we were finally moving into the actual operation: Dump them when they are most in love with us and spend the night with the other partner.
I will never forget the humiliation and resentment of being made a fool of like this. I’m going to make them regret it from the bottom of their hearts!
