El found the Elder of the Black Dragons among them.
‘As expected.’
A dragon who could communicate enough to clear this ridiculous false accusation.
The actors El had been waiting for were all gathered.
Dedanq, the Elder of the Red Dragon who appeared from the sky, shouted loudly at El and Rurin, who were fighting, and the Red Dragons, filled with fury.
“Stop it all! Don’t you know there is a truce in effect between the Black Dragons and the Red Dragons?”
Seeing Elder Dedanq shout with an angry face, El thought,
‘Of course.’
It wasn’t the whole Red Dragon clan that orchestrated this, but the work of one who kept trying to frame him.
All the Red Dragons looked at Dedanq. And Veint flew towards the Elder.
In that situation, Medidana, the Elder of the Black Dragon, spoke to Rurin.
“You rascal. Why are you fighting with the Red Dragons? And you too! Both you and Rurin are directly involved in the truce agreement! This is forbidden!”
To El, it was ridiculous. He wasn’t the one who attacked first, it was the Red Dragons. And they framed him with such absurdity.
But based on Medidana’s words, El confirmed that the Black Dragons were also not involved in this matter.
When such powerful mana is entangled, it is only natural for those not involved to appear. Because of the truce agreement.
It was only natural for the elders to appear to punish such foolishness because fighting is prohibited.
This was the situation El had been waiting for.
‘It’s time to shut that damned Red Dragon’s mouth. If the Elders are uninvolved, no one can act out in front of clear evidence.’
Thinking so, El shouted toward Medidana, the Elder of the Black Dragon.
“That’s an unfair statement. Elder, they attacked first.”
“They did? What do you mean by that?”
“More importantly, how did you appear here?”
When El asked for the final confirmation, Medidana felt puzzled. They were attacked first? That would mean the Red Dragons violated the truce first.
Thinking the situation was turning strange, Medidana felt it was necessary to investigate and answered El’s question.
“When Dragon Fear collides and massive mana fluctuates, how could we not know! What on earth is this commotion!”
At that moment, Veint flew to their Elder Dedanq and started framing El just like he did to the other Red Dragons.
“Elder Dedanq! That guy attacked Sereina and drove her to death. Everyone here witnessed it. Taking revenge on the one who killed our kin has nothing to do with the truce agreement!”
“Is that true?”
Elder Dedanq of the Red Dragon was startled. No matter how powerful, a mere human killed a Red Dragon? That indeed had nothing to do with the truce.
And that voice was loud enough for the Black Dragon group to hear.
As a result, Rurin became very angry and stomped her feet. Then she shouted towards Medidana.
“No, Elder! They attacked El! Those red ones are treacherous. They cannot be forgiven. They must not be spared!”
As Rurin passionately stomped and shouted, Medidana tilted his head. She knew Rurin’s personality well.
After hearing Veint’s explanation, Dedanq pointed at El and asked again for confirmation.
“He harmed Sereina? That human?”
“Yes! Everyone here saw it!”
“No! That Red one suddenly came to the restaurant bleeding!”
“Is that Black Dragon involved too?”
“It seems they are accomplices, so it’s not unrelated.”
Veint subtly framed Rurin as well.
Watching the absurd scene, El shook his head. He couldn’t figure out what grudge they had against him, but he intended to overturn this unreasonable situation first and then discuss it.
But right in that situation, an unexpected variable popped out. Nies, a Black Dragon behind Elder Medidana, stepped forward to help Veint.
“Elder! That human seems to have finally gone mad! We must sever all ties with him to ensure this incident doesn’t relate to the Black Dragons because of Rurin. It’s best to return Rurin and leave that human to the Red Dragons!”
Seeing Nies suddenly step forward to help Veint, El frowned once again. Naturally, Rurin couldn’t stand the nonsense and glared at Nies.
In fact, Nies is a dragon Rurin hates more than the Red Dragons.
The one she hates the most in the world, not just among dragons. The sight of that dragon slandering El in front of her.
Rurin felt her blood boiling as she rebutted.
“Nies! El has never done such a thing. What nonsense are you spouting!”
Seeing that scene, El was once again taken aback. Judging by her calling his name, they seemed to know each other.
Of course, that wasn’t the reason he was taken aback. The reason was that Rurin’s condition didn’t seem good.
Rurin’s hand, standing next to him, was trembling.
El immediately grabbed Rurin’s hand and asked about her condition.
“Rurin, are you okay?”
Honestly, for El, Rurin’s condition was a hundred times more worrying than all this farce.
“I’m fine! Not really, but I am. But you, I hate that guy! He has bullied me since childhood, mentioning my mother.”
“Really? That guy was the main culprit?”
Rurin nodded vigorously and gripped El’s hand, which he was holding, even tighter. The slight tremor was still there. El felt it and became deeply sorrowful.
Then he looked at Nies. At that moment, Nies was exchanging glances with Veint, who was in the opposite sky.
‘Hmm?’
Witnessing that exchange of glances, El realized one more thing. It wasn’t just one guy framing him. It was Nies of the Black Dragons and Veint of the Red Dragons.
Although he still didn’t know the reason, the moment he was sure that the two of them had conspired something.
El looked at the two dragons alternately, feeling that he couldn’t forgive them.
Yes, he couldn’t forgive them.
There was no need to forgive those who tried to kill him by falsely accusing him.
Moreover, he was the main culprit who bullied Rurin. A dragon who made Rurin’s hand tremble just by looking at him.
The one who made Rurin stay holed up in the lair during her childhood.
How much must he have bullied her in her childhood for her hand to tremble just by seeing him.
She is lively.
But among the dragon clan, she has always felt pitiful.
That’s why his anger towards Nies surged even more. He didn’t care much about himself. But Rurin.
How dare he bully Rurin.
Whatever conspiracy they were plotting. Whatever the reason they were trying to harm him.
It had already become completely irrelevant.
El gently patted Rurin’s head. Then he whispered quietly into her ear, so others couldn’t hear.
“It’s okay, Rurin. There’s no need to tremble. I wasn’t there back then, but now I’m here by your side.”
At those words, Rurin’s trembling momentarily stopped. She looked up at El quietly. There was a strong force in her eyes.
Her eyes contained very deep emotions. A faith that went beyond belief.
“You…!”
“First, let’s resolve this situation.”
Anyway, the problem is those two culprits. They cannot be left alone.
There were already more than 40 dragons.
Even if his mana had increased with the dragon orb, he couldn’t handle more than 40 dragons.
It had become impossible to annihilate all the dragons by force. He had planned to use strategy from the beginning.
The method was actually very simple. A very basic method.
The logic that the Red Dragons had to attack El required the premise that their kin had been killed.
But if there was no dead dragon, it would just be a ridiculous claim.
So El alternately looked at the two dragons framing him and spoke.
“You two are really ridiculous.”
“You?”
Even Rurin looked up at El as if asking why. El just smiled and started glaring at Veint. Then he shouted loudly for everyone to hear.
“Hey, dragon, you say I harmed your kin?”
“Yes! Everyone here is a witness!”
Red Dragon Veint flapped his wings vigorously and answered. Then he looked at his kin beside him. The other Red Dragons received that gaze and spoke in unison to their Elder Dedanq.
“That’s right, elder. We all saw him do that to Sereina.”
Unilateral testimony without even witnessing the actual killing. El just scoffed and maintained his composure.
From the beginning, they had come leading the group for this testimony. It was inevitable.
El approached the most reasonable Elder of the Black Dragons, Medidana, and spoke.
“Elder, do you also think that Rurin and I harmed the Red Dragon?”
“With so many witnesses…!”
“That’s not true, Elder. What they’re saying can be directly refuted. We just need to check with that dragon called Sereina.”
“What do you mean by that? They said she died?”
However, there was one thing he couldn’t be sure of. That Red Dragon called Sereina.
If she was in cahoots with Veint, the problem would become serious. It would be troublesome.
‘Of course, that’s highly unlikely. Her wound was definitely fatal. She was on the brink of death, so it’s absurd to think that was part of the scheme. If Elena hadn’t used Great Healing, she would have already died. And even with Great Healing, it only prolonged her life for a short time; she would eventually die for real. Her wound was that fatal. So, there’s no way she participated at the cost of her life.’
He couldn’t be sure, but probability-wise, he felt more than 90% sure that Sereina was unrelated to Veint.
Especially remembering the self-deprecating smile she had when she mentioned love and betrayal. It was clear she had been backstabbed by her kin.
In that case, the best way was to keep her alive and have her identify the culprit.
He had originally intended to save her. Now, he had even more reason to rescue her no matter what.
“Is that true?”
When El assured him, Medidana thought inwardly that it was a relief. If what the Red Dragons said was true, it would be troublesome in many ways. So, he frowned, then brightened up and asked again.
But Nies, who couldn’t tolerate everything El was doing, spoke sternly to Medidana again.
“What are you trying to confirm with a dragon that’s already dead! Are you trying to insult even us Black Dragons now? He’s a guy who could reignite a war between Black and Red Dragons. Elder! He must never be forgiven!”
At that moment, El thought that this guy might be the main culprit of everything.
