Rebecca seemed unable to properly process my words and froze as if her mind had stopped working. I waited patiently without rushing her.

A few minutes later, Rebecca slowly raised her face… and touched my cheek.

“You won’t suddenly disappear, right?”

“I wouldn’t do something like that, but…”

I tilted my head slightly, not understanding what she meant, but soon realized the reason. It must be because of that old fairy tale.

There were a few stories about divine servants, and in one of them there was a servant who had suddenly vanished for many years. Thinking about it now, that servant was probably in the Divine Domain.

“I do have the ability to move to another space, but that’s something I use by my own will, so I won’t suddenly disappear.”

“I see… that’s a relief.”

Perhaps reassured after confirming that, Rebecca removed her hand from my cheek and smiled softly with a gentle expression that made me want to hug her.

“If you ever move to that other space, tell me beforehand. I’d feel lonely if you suddenly disappeared.”

“Of course. Actually, I should be able to bring you to that space too.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, wait a moment. I’ll ask the Goddess of Peace—Lady Seremees.”

Rebecca clearly understood what my words meant, and her eyes widened in surprise before she closed her mouth again. I smiled to reassure her before calling out to Lady Seremees.

“Lady Seremees, are you available right now?”

“Yes, I am.”

“That’s good to hear. I wanted to ask something. It’s possible to bring humans into the Divine Domain, right?”

“Yes, it is. However, unlike objects, humans will only be able to return to the same location they entered from, just like you. There is also a limit—only a few people at most.”

So there was a limit on the number of people. Still, a few people would not be a problem for now. The only person I could think of bringing was Rebecca.

“Thank you for explaining that. Also, may I bring Rebecca along?”

“Yes, of course. If you believe it is fine, Luca, I have no reason to oppose it. You may bring her freely.”

“Really!? Thank you very much!”

After finishing my conversation with Lady Seremees, I turned my gaze back to Rebecca.

“It seems you can come along too, Rebecca.”

“Luca, the person you were just talking to was…”

“Lady Seremees. As a divine servant, I can speak to her freely no matter where I am.”

“That’s amazing… it still doesn’t feel real.”

“I understand. At first I thought it might be a dream too. So, Rebecca, since the Goddess of Peace gave permission, would you come to the Divine Domain with me? It might help you understand everything better.”

When I took Rebecca’s hand and said that, she suddenly snapped out of her dreamy expression. She looked down at her own body… then shook her head vigorously.

“R-right now!? That’s impossible!”

“Lady Seremees welcomed the idea, so there’s nothing to worry about… Ah, are you scared?”

“N-no, that’s not it! If I’m going to meet a goddess, my hair is messy after working all day, my clothes are just whatever I was wearing, and my face is probably dirty too…”

Hearing that, I stared closely at her face. Honestly, it did not seem messy enough to worry about.

“Your beautiful red hair is neatly in place, your clothes are perfectly normal for an adventurer, and the dirt just proves you worked hard all day, so I don’t think you need to worry about it.”

When I said that sincerely, Rebecca blushed and covered her cheeks with both hands.

“W-wait a second. Luca, do you say things like that to other girls too!?”

“No… I don’t really have any girls I’m as close to as you, Rebecca, so I guess I don’t… probably.”

“That’s good then, but you shouldn’t say things like that so easily. The girl you say it to might misunderstand.”

From Rebecca’s embarrassed attitude and her words, I finally understood what she meant. It could sound like I was flirting with her.

“I’ll be careful.”

Until now I had been so desperate just to survive that I had never thought about things like love or romance. But from now on I would have more room in my life, and maybe I could even have a girlfriend someday.

I had never liked anyone like that before, so it still felt unreal, but it would be nice to meet someone I could enjoy spending time with.

“Anyway, back to the topic—are you okay with going to the Divine Domain as you are now?”

“Ugh… well, I guess it’s fine.”

“Alright. Let’s go.”

I took Rebecca’s hand again and stood up from the bed. Then I activated my interference with the Divine Domain, bringing another person along for the first time…

A moment later, Rebecca and I were standing without issue inside the pavilion in the Divine Domain. In front of us sat Lady Seremees on a sofa.
