There was a single Demon God there.
His name was Durji, the Demon God of Flame.
The human world, where humans lived. Apart from that, there was a higher dimension… the world where the gods lived, the heavenly realm.
Durji was one of the gods who had been exiled from the heavenly realm due to his bad behavior catching up with him.
There were two types of Demon Gods.
Those who had been gods from the beginning.
And those who mastered techniques such as magic, or created techniques, and reached godhood.
Vivre and Triton were the latter.
And Durji was the former.
Durji looked down on the newer Demon Gods of the latter type.
He saw them as nothing more than imitations.
He believed that he, who had been a god from the moment he was born, was different from the Demon Gods around him.
Just like humans, he looked down on them as inferior creatures.
Durji had established his base far up in the sky, in the Castle in the Sky.
He possessed peerless flames of destruction.
If he became serious, inferior creatures, including humans, would be reduced to ashes in an instant.
If he wanted to, he could destroy the human world at any time.
However, a true strong being did not use his power against such inferior creatures in the first place.
Humans merely continued living at his whim.
Humans did not know. They did not know that there was a far superior being who could easily erase their lives at any time, as if flipping off a switch.
More than anything, he enjoyed looking down on humans from far above, both physically and mentally.
That was… the Demon God known as Durji.
“Hmm? My firebirds were defeated…?”
The flame technique formula that automatically intercepted anything approaching his castle had vanished.
It was not a flaw in the technique formula. Someone had deliberately erased it.
“Kuku… Could it be those lizards again? Are they foolishly trying to challenge this King of the Sky once more?”
He had once been pestered by weaklings called the Divine Dragon Clan.
But he had easily brushed them aside. They had stayed quiet ever since then, but…
“Well, fine. This will ease my boredom. I shall humor them.”
