After I took over the magic tool artisan guild [Gourmets of Venom]… ahem! changed the person in charge.
The employees other than Terry-kun woke from sleep and came into the workshop one after another.
“Alright everyone, hello. I am Seyi Falt. From today I am the on-site manager!”
The employees murmured in confusion. That was natural. The manager suddenly changed.
Terry-kun placed the sword I enchanted on the table.
“Everyone look at this! A magic tool made by Seyi-san.”
The employees raised cheers seeing the sword.
“What splendid enchantment!”
“I’ve never seen a mana core processed so beautifully!”
“S-she made this alone…?”
Everyone looked at me.
“Well, yes. Ah, today’s delivery portion is all finished so rest easy. Cherge.”
The maid robot Cherge came before everyone carrying a wooden box containing swords on a cart.
The employees opened the lid and were shocked again.
“A-amazing…! We had given up thinking it would never be finished!”
“To complete all magic tools during the three hours we slept…!”
I raised my hand and said.
“Ah, it didn’t even take three hours. The remaining time I was making an SOP.”
“““S…SOP?”””
Hmm, as expected they didn’t know the existence of manuals. What are the people above even doing?
Are they mocking us by giving vague orders and throwing everything to the field? Training until they can do it is also part of salary, you know… (crack).
“In short, it’s a text with written procedures so anyone can make magic tools by reading it.”
Everyone looked anxious.
“No, that’s impossible…”
“Unless it’s Seyi-san, we can’t make something like this…”
“Isn’t it just because you’re amazing…?”
“That’s not true. Let’s see… Terry-kun. Using this, could you try making a magic tool?”
I nominated him because he was the worker I first met here.
Terry-kun nodded easily and received the SOP from me.
He opened the text… and widened his eyes.
“A-amazing…! It’s so easy to read and understand! The magic images help with the work… with this I can!”
Terry-kun sat before the work table.
He picked up a mana crystal, split it with a hammer according to the manual, and filed it.
Nothing difficult. Just follow the manual.
Soon the mana core was completed.
“A-amazing!”
“It’s the same mana core Seyi-san made!”
“I can’t believe it can be made this quickly!”
The workers cheered.
“10 minutes. Yes, well done for a first time.”
“Thank you! By the way how long does it take for Seyi-san?”
“Well…”
I picked up a mana crystal. In an instant its shape changed into a sphere.
“Something like this. Cherge, how many seconds?”
“0.5 seconds. End.”
“““…………”””
Huh? Everyone is surprised… or slightly backing away!?
“Master performed processing beyond another dimension, so they are bewildered. End.”
“Ah, right! Sorry! But if you all work hard, you’ll be able to do it without splitting with a hammer or filing!”
What I just did was basic alchemy technique.
“Um… Seyi-san. Isn’t that because you are exceptionally talented? I cannot imagine ordinary people like us reaching your level…”
Oh dear, all the workers made the same face. That won’t do.
“Don’t worry. Alchemy is not a miracle of the gods but a technique. What’s necessary is the determination to learn technique, correct practice methods, and practice time. Then anyone can do at least this much.”
This is not consolation.
Technique is reproducible and anyone can acquire it, not only alchemy.
“Seyi-san… no, Seyi-sama.”
“W-what Terry-kun… suddenly adding -sama…”
“I am moved! Your words… encouraged me greatly!”
Terry-kun and the workers all smiled. The depressed faces from before were gone.
In their eyes was a flame of motivation.
“Seyi-sama… please teach us your wonderful techniques!”
“““Please, Seyi-sama…!”””
Honestly I planned to only make SOP and leave. I already included the method to make magic tools that don’t produce miasma.
But… those motivated eyes. The same eyes I once had.
It made me a little happy.
“Alright. I’ll instruct you.”
“““Oh…! Thank you…!”””
Will this become a detour?
But solving pollution requires a fundamental solution.
If I teach them correct knowledge and skills, the pollution will stop. It will take time and effort though.
Thus I held a technical seminar for the guild workers.
