I, Seyi Falt, am an alchemist who travels freely.
I came to the homeland of one of the slave girls, the elf Zenith-chan.
But there I was captured by the worst-of-the-worst elf king who uses the weak for selfish desires and forces them to work—the Forest King.
I decided to escape prison and punish… no, persuade this trash… I mean, the Forest King.
“Big sis!”
“My lord!”
“…Seyi-sama! Are you safe!?”
The slave girls were imprisoned in an underground cell some distance away.
Everyone hugged me all at once.
“I’m glad you’re safe…”
“That’s my line, Daphne-chan. I’m glad everyone’s safe.”
After escaping prison, I walked through the dungeon and found where they were.
“Still, how did you find us? This prison is quite large.”
“I used a magic tool.”
“Hmm? But when we were captured our belongings were confiscated? When did you retrieve a magic tool?”
“Ah, no, no. I made it on the spot.”
A bug-like object with eyeballs attached fluttered around me.
“W-what is that?”
“I call it a ‘Trown.’ If you put mana into it, it moves automatically, searches the surroundings, and tells you the location when it finds the target.”
“Oh! I don’t really understand, but that’s amazing!”
I liked Toka-chan, who praised me even without understanding.
Zenith-chan’s eyes widened.
“…Amazing. With this, dungeon exploration would become easy, and we could keep watch of the surroundings to prevent surprise attacks. What an incredible magic tool.”
Zenith-chan really is smart. Cute and clever.
“…What did you do about the magic core to run the tool?”
“Huh? You just gather the fine miasma particles in the air and make one, right? They’re everywhere.”
“…………”
“Huh? What’s wrong, Zenith-chan? Your mouth is hanging open.”
“…No. I was impressed because only Seyi-sama could do something like that.”
Anyway, I was glad the slave girls were safe.
“Master. I was also captured, you know? End of report.”
“You won’t die anyway… unlike these cute girls.”
Now then, I regained composure and told them.
“You all go with Cherge, meet up with Chi-chan, and get outside.”
My dragon carriage and the earth dragon Chi-chan pulling it were somewhere in this castle too.
The luggage could be replaced somehow, but Chi-chan was an irreplaceable travel companion.
“Yes! Daphne will follow Chi-chan’s cries and find her!”
“Oh, as expected of the rabbit tribe. Good ears. And once you’re outside, Zenith-chan, signal me with magic.”
Zenith-chan could use some spells since I taught her magic at master’s workshop.
“…Seyi-sama?”
Zenith-chan looked anxious at me staying behind alone after letting them escape.
Ah… such a kind child.
“It’s okay. I’m not staying behind heroically to sacrifice myself so you can escape.”
“Huh?”
Zenith-chan looked genuinely surprised. Well, she’d think that since she’s kind.
“…Th-then what?”
“Well… simply put…”
Our eyes met and the words came to me.
I grinned and answered.
“A coup d’état.”
Now, how to create an opening for Zenith-chan to escape.
After thinking a little, I moved to execute the plan.
“Hello, prisoner over there.”
“W-who are you…?”
Right, this was a dungeon. A place where criminals were imprisoned.
We weren’t the only ones captured. Others who committed various crimes were here too.
“I’m a traveling alchemist.”
“I see…”
Inside the nearby cell was a rather dashing elf man.
From his dignified face and intelligent eyes, he hardly seemed like a criminal.
Well, right now I didn’t care what crimes anyone committed.
“Could you help me? I’m thinking of breaking out.”
“B-break out!? Impossible, these bars are made of Orichalcum and escaping is—”
I placed my hand on the bars and activated alchemy.
They warped, forming a hole big enough for a person.
“…………”
“I want your cooperation. To safely escape here, I need manpower. Of course, if you want to stay here forever, that’s fine too.”
Was it okay to release criminals? I wondered, but since the real criminal sat on the throne, I felt no guilt.
What I wanted was to cause chaos inside.
Using the confusion to let my precious slave girls escape was the goal.
Then the dashing elf man seemed to understand something.
“I shall lend my small aid.”
“That helps. Um, you are…?”
“Robin.”
“Robin-san. Use this potion and free the other prisoners.”
I handed Robin one of the potion bottles stored by Cherge.
“What is this?”
“A solvent. You can find it anywhere.”
“A solvent… a liquid used to dissolve things?”
“Exactly. If you pour a little…”
I poured the solvent on the bars of the cell Robin exited.
The bars melted completely, leaving only a puddle.
“See?”
“Master, he is completely horrified. End of report.”
“Huh!? Why!? It’s just a solvent!”
“That is clearly a dissolving poison. End of report.”
When making magic potions, many materials must be dissolved.
This special solvent could dissolve anything.
In short, it was one of the important liquids used when making magic potions.
Calling it dissolving poison? How rude.
“A-amazing… magical water that melts even Orichalcum.”
“It’s not magic, it’s alchemy. I gave this maid lots of solvent, so free the prisoners with it.”
“Understood. Thank you, beautiful savior.”
Now I’m a savior after saintess…
I’m an alchemist though.
“Alright, ASAP please. I’ll prepare the next step, so I leave this to you… adieu!”
I entrusted the slave girls to Cherge and Robin and left the place.
