Defeating The Demon God Perfectly

I had frozen the Flame Demon solid. Now then, I had to hurry and catch up to the slave girls…!

‘Nnngh! It’s not over yetーーーーーーーーーーーーーー!’

With a crack, the demon shattered the block of ice and regained its freedom.

Ugh, it was still alive…? What a drag…

‘Too bad! I have seven lives…! Don’t get cocky just because you killed me once, little girl…!’

“So you did die once.” “That worked extremely well, report.”

‘Shut uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!’

The demon raised its fist and slammed a punch down into the ground with all its might.

The frozen land around us instantly transformed into a magma hellscape.

Cherge and I could both fly, so we were not in danger of being burned to death, but…

“Well, this is troublesome.”

“To kill it completely, there are not enough Freeze Potions left, report.”

After throwing so many of them around, I had only managed to kill it once.

“Cherge, how many Freeze Potions do we have left?”

“One remaining, report.”

“Oh dear. That is the weak point of alchemists. Our strength depends on our potions.”

The demon looked at me and grinned fearlessly.

‘Kuhaha! Is it over already, alchemiiiiiist!?’

It stomped down hard on the ground.

At that instant, magma erupted from below, aiming straight for us.

We dodged to either side.

The next thing flying at us was clumps of magma.

Masses about the size of a human being came flying at incredible speed, in incredible numbers.

‘Fuhahaha! Be crushed and burn to deathhhh!’

“There we go, there we go.”

Dodge dodge dodge.

‘Whaaaat!? Why can you dodge!?’

“My dynamic vision is enhanced too. Cherge! Buy me some time!”

“Understood.”

She drew Mana Machine Guns in both hands and opened fire all at once.

The bullets rattled out in a barrage, but they evaporated before they could hit the demon’s body.

‘Did you really think such cheap toys could overcome my flames!?’

“Nope, not at all.”

That was why this was only to buy time.

While Cherge kept the idiot demon occupied, I would find a way through.

Cooling it from the outside had failed.

Which meant there was only one method left.

I deployed the Alchemy Workshop.

An alchemy workshop I could carry anywhere.

Into the transparent cube, I threw the stored materials Cherge had handed me just a moment ago.

Improvising a brand-new magical medicine on the spot, I completed a new potion in my hand.

“All right, Cherge. It’s finished.”

Cherge nodded and stopped firing.

The demon grinned smugly.

‘And what exactly is finished? How do you intend to kill a demon whose entire body is made of demonic flame? You still need to kill me six more times with ice, you know?’

“I do not need that at all. Take this!”

I threw the potion bottle at the Flame Demon while signaling to Cherge with my eyes.

It launched clumps of flame at me.

Crash…!

The bottle I threw shattered…

‘Fool. If I know you are planning something, why would I just stand here and let you hit me?’

“Yes, exactly.”

‘What!? When did you get behind me!?’

Cherge had closed in and set the potion bottle into a launcher.

Then she fired the bottle.

While I was keeping its attention, she had moved around behind it.

I had secretly handed her the bottle beforehand.

By the way, the one I threw earlier was just water.

Then the potion bottle shot out from the launcher.

It struck the demon.

Crash…!

‘Hmph! And here I thought you might do something. You merely hit me with an ordinary bottle!’

“As if.”

At that instant…

‘Ugh, gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!’

The demon’s body began glowing red and melting away.

You could call it a red liquid, perhaps. In any case, it could no longer maintain the shape of a body.

‘What is this!? The strength is leaving my bodyyyyyyyyyyy!’

“I will tell you, as a souvenir for the road to the underworld. That is a Mana Conversion Potion.”

‘Mana Conversion!?’

“That’s right. It is a potion that converts magic into mana. Now that that liquid has been splashed on you, your body is being broken down into mana. You yourself admitted that your body was made of magical flames, remember?”

The demon’s body kept melting away more and more.

No matter how much magic it used, all of it would just be turned into mana.

After that, I aimed the mouth of the potion bottle at the sludgy melted liquid—water with mana dissolved into it.

The large quantity of contents was absorbed into the bottle.

The demon’s entire body was converted into mana, and then completely sealed inside the potion bottle.

“All right, Demon defeated, and I got a high-density Mana Potion!”

In other words, the demon had been converted into a medicine that restores mana when drunk.

“As expected of Master. To think you would defeat even a demon so perfectly, report.”
