The next market day arrived.

I lined up several weapons.

To make the goods easier to understand, I’ll tentatively assign ranks to these weapons.

First, knives and swords equivalent to D+ rank—three of each. These are higher quality than what I sold to Ivas and the others before. They are the same quality as the sword I sold to Reberto.

For weapons that can be made from Irea Magic Ore, this is about the limit.

Next are D-rank knives and swords—three of each as well. These are roughly the same quality as what I sold to Ivas and the others previously.

Next are E-rank knives and swords, also three each. These are the ones I sold to Ivas at first.

I also prepared three knives and three swords one rank lower, at F rank. These are priced around ten thousand gold. Over the past two weeks at the market, I’ve surprisingly seen adventurers who seem newer than Ivas and the others. I made items that kids like them could afford.

Arriving at the market, I quickly took our usual spot and hurriedly got things ready.

Alicia is with me again today. By now both Alicia and I are quite used to this work.

I placed each pair of sword and knife on the table as goods, set up our flag, and we were ready.

“I hope we sell a lot today, too.”

“…Yeah.”

As the crowd at the market began to grow, Alicia and I started calling out to people.

In the morning, an F-rank knife and an F-rank sword sold—one of each. They were bought by a kid who had just become an adventurer.

They said, “I’ll buy the sword and the knife together for a total of twelve thousand gold!” so I sold them at that price.

I had wanted to sell them for fifteen thousand gold, but the kid was good at haggling and I lost the negotiation.

…Partly it was because I genuinely wanted to support adventurers.

Well, that kid might someday bring party members or become a regular customer, so as an investment it’s not a bad move.

Then, in the afternoon, a traveling merchant came by.

“Long time no see.”

“Long time no see.”

The merchant was wearing a stylish hat today. When he came up to our stall, he took his hat off.

“Ah, the sword I bought from you is really great.”

“Really? Thank you.”

“I used it on my travels and it’s very easy to handle. Lighter than it looks and sturdy. Its mana conductivity is high—it’s hard to believe it’s a sword made from Irea Magic Ore.”

“I’m truly glad you say that.”

“So this time I want more. Looking closely, there are weapons here even better than what I bought before. Could I purchase the swords and knives you have here, respectively?”

Huh? I was surprised.

The merchant was pointing at the swords ranked D and above. He really does have a good eye.

“Thank you. How many would you like to buy?”

“How many of each do you have?”

“Swords and knives, three of each… that makes twelve in total.”

“May I buy them all?”

“O-okay! I’ll prepare them right away!”

…I never expected him to say he’d buy everything.

While Alicia prepared the swords and knives, I negotiated the price.

In the end, I sold everything for five hundred thousand gold.

“You were Faik, right? You didn’t give your name, but I’m Rig. I might be doing business with you again, so nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you.”

It was a fortunate turn of events.

I sold Rig longswords and knives.

Five hundred thousand gold, huh.

I was surprised by the earnings, higher than I imagined. It was a pleasant surprise, though.
