After that we continued hunting… to be honest, there was nothing dangerous.

Ivas and Weather moved lightly and powerfully; against the monsters in this forest they had no trouble.

So I had been watching the whole time, but even so it was getting a bit boring.

“Can I fight a little next?”

“Huh? Sure.”

Since we were finally out after a long time, I wanted to fight a little too. When I suggested it, they agreed.

Weather spotted some goblins, so we headed that way.

There were two. The goblins were turning their ugly faces around, looking left and right.

They didn’t seem to have noticed us.

I checked the sword hanging at my waist. For now, I’ll use the pebble I picked up earlier.

After applying an Enchantment to the pebble I had, I threw it at a goblin. The strengthened pebble embedded itself in the goblin’s body.

“Gah!?”

Even a pebble can deliver this sort of force if you apply an Enchantment.

I closed in on the staggered goblin and brought my sword down on its neck. I was able to finish it off easily.

The other one leapt at us. I dodged its club swing and slashed its back.

I drove my sword into the fallen goblin’s neck to finish it.

“Faik, you’re insanely strong!”

“Whether I’m strong or not aside… I’ve been gathering materials myself since long ago.”

“Then you could aim to be a top-tier adventurer! How about it? Want to be adventurers together!?”

“No, I’m busy with the smithing side of things.”

I politely declined and walked on together with Alicia.

“So strong. That was cool.”

“…Thanks.”

Alicia said that with a happy look. I wanted to keep fighting to see her smile more, but I couldn’t lose sight of my goal.

We were here to make weapons suited to Ivas and Weather, after all.

I carefully observed the two fighting.

…Indeed, Ivas wasn’t fully utilizing his speed. At the same time, a knife felt too short.

Weather would prefer a sword with more destructive power. Also, size and weight suited to each of their bodies.

Let’s look around weapon shops to confirm those things.

“Faik, what do you think?”

“Got a good idea now, thanks. After this I want to go to the weapon shop and see what kind of weapons you want, but are you done hunting?”

“We’re fine!”

Ivas and Weather nodded. I left the forest with them.

After finishing the hunting in the forest, we went to a weapon shop.

It’s a large weapon shop even for Adventurer Street. They carried many items, all with price tags, and they were fairly expensive.

That said, the price tags probably reflect what the shop wants, so there might be room to negotiate.

Well, we weren’t here to buy anything today.

I had Ivas and Weather look at various weapons.

I picked up the sword Ivas had taken in hand.

“Let’s see… about this length for a sword… but it’s a bit heavy.”

“I see. How about this dagger?”

“…Hmm, it might be a bit too short, hmm, it’s difficult. The weight around this level might be better.”

…Gradually I could see what kind of weapon Ivas wanted.

“So basically a sword, but a bit shorter. I see, got it.”

That should be fine for Ivas.

Now that I had a rough length, next was Weather.

“How about you, Weather?”

I had him look at weapons too. Weather was looking at a longsword the size you carry on your back.

“This sword… yeah. It has solid weight… It looks like it could destroy any opponent.”

Weather casually swung the longsword with one hand. He had more strength than he looked.

“It’s a type called a greatsword. Is that the sort of thing you want?”

“…But it might be a bit long. A little shorter would be better.”

In that case… I grabbed a nearby longsword.

“How about this two-handed sword?”

“Yeah, this is about right. Although it might be nice if it were a bit heavier… sorry for all the requests.”

“No, tell me whatever you want. I want to make the perfect weapons for both of you.”

Having figured things out to some extent, we left the weapon shop.

“Thanks for coming along, both of you. I roughly understand what you need, so I’ll start making them right away.”

“Thank you! How much will it cost?”

What should I do… I want to give them some discount.

Showing too much favor wouldn’t be good for a merchant, but they’re first-time customers.

“Well, decide whether to buy after you see them, but how about 40,000 gold for Ivas and about 60,000 gold for Weather?”

“…Huh? That’s cheaper than I thought.”

I glanced at their swords.

“That’s the price if you trade in the swords you currently have. If you don’t trade them in, add about 40,000 gold to each of those amounts.”

“I see, got it! If handing over our current swords makes it that much cheaper, we’ll definitely trade them in!”

“Understood. Thanks for today. I’ll have them ready by the next market.”

“Understood!”

“See you.”

“Yes!”

Ivas and Weather bowed briefly and left.

…Well then, I have to work hard.
