After finishing his talk with His Majesty, Vim was escorted by one of the attendants to his new residence.

“Here we are, sir.”

They had walked for about twenty minutes from the royal palace. The attendant stopped and gestured toward the mansion.

“Whoa, it’s huge…”

Though it was on the outskirts of the noble district, the location was excellent. On top of that, it was a grand estate, far too spacious for a single person.

“I shall take my leave here, sir. From this point on, your own attendants will guide you.”

“Understood. Thank you.”

His Majesty’s attendant gave a polite bow and departed.

“Well, no point in just standing around.”

Vim stepped inside the mansion. Waiting for him were a man in a tailcoat and a woman in a maid’s uniform.

“We have been expecting you. My name is James; I have been appointed to serve as the steward of the Abel household.”

He wore his tailcoat impeccably. Judging by the mix of black and white in his hair, he looked to be around sixty years old.

“I am Aria, and I serve as the head maid.”

She appeared to be in her early twenties, with her red hair tied in a ponytail. She was fair-skinned, well-endowed, and undeniably beautiful.

“The two of us will be your primary servants, Master Vim, though we can increase the staff in the future if you wish.”

“I will be in charge of your personal care, so please do not hesitate to call upon me for anything,” Aria added.

Vim thought to himself that life wasn’t so bad if it led to being looked after by such a beautiful woman.

“I’m Vim Abel. Nice to meet you.”

Vim gave a slight nod.

“Then, allow me to show you to your room first, Master Vim.”

Aria led Vim through the house.

“It is right here.”

It was the room at the far end of the second floor. It was quite spacious—more than enough for one person.

“I will be in the servants’ quarters over there twenty-four hours a day, so please call me if you need anything.”

It seemed Aria and James were live-in servants who remained at the mansion around the clock.

“Got it. Thank you.”

“Not at all. I will come for you when it is time for dinner, so please make yourself comfortable and rest until then.”

“I think I’ll do that.”

Vim entered the room and tested out the bed. This one was also quite plush and felt wonderful.

“I should probably get some rest.”

With exhaustion having piled up from various events, Vim closed his eyes on the bed. He let go of his consciousness almost immediately.

“Master Vim, dinner is prepared.”

A few hours later, Vim woke up to Aria’s voice.

“Right. I’ll be there in a second.”

“As you command.”

He got out of bed, left the room, and headed for the living area on the first floor. A delicious aroma was wafting through the air.

“Oh, this looks amazing.”

“I am honored, sir,” said a blond man wearing a chef’s hat.

“Pardon my late introduction. I am Jordan, the head chef.”

Apparently, he had been too busy preparing the meal earlier to step away.

“Thank you. I’ll dig in right away.”

Vim took his seat at the table.
